Monday Blues Cure

What is the cause of having “MONDAY BLUES”? Is there a Monday Blues Cure?  Does the start of your workweek trigger overwhelming feelings of anxiety, sadness, or stress?  Do you lack passion, motivation and strength on Monday?  Are you sluggish or tense?  This feeling is what the world refers it as Monday Blues”.

Fortunately, the answer for the cure is in the Bible – read the words in the scripture below:

Isaiah 61:3

… to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the “garment of praise” for the “spirit of heaviness…”

The Bible calls this feeling “the spirit of heaviness” in Isaiah 61:3:-

To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified”

Years back, my Managing Director always talked much about his fear each approaching Mondays!  As the Head of the company, his work’s burden was certainly very heavy!  And so on Friday when the senior staff get together, he would lament over the blues he experienced on each Mondays!

This morning, if per chance you are in this situation, you can change all that by making this prayer and allow the Lord to fill you with His “Oil if Gladness”! and clothe you with His “Garment of Praise”.  Do it and you will put an end to any future “Monday Blues”.

Now join me to say this prayer:-

“Father you s aid in John 16:24 that if we need anything we need to ask to receive that our joy may be full!  We ask right now in Jesus’s name that you remove from us this “spirit of heaviness” and clothe us with your “Garment of Praise”.

We thank you for your blessing on us, our family and all our possession last week.  We know you will do the same for us this week as your words say that Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever!

We thank you, Father, that you are Jehovah-Jireh, the God that supplies all our needs; you are always generous and gracious in all that you do.  You have given us “life more abundantly”.  Whatever you provide, we know it will always be “so much more”.  We thank you and we now rejoice in this truth; and we come expectantly to receive the “more than enough” provision!

We thank you for preserving our spirit soul and body, and that through the Precious Blood of Your Son Jesus, we can walk worthy and pleasing to you!  We rejoice today because of “Who You Are” and “Whose” we are!

Truly the Joy of The Lord is our strength!

In Jesus’ Most Worthy Name we pray.

Be blessed
