Good Morning
In this article, you will learn to “Pray With Power” using the Names of God. God’s character and true nature are revealed in His various Names.
The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob has many Names and through the Names of God, you will learn to know Him more intimately. The more you know and understand what each Name means, the more you will draw closer to Him. That”s when you get quick answers to your prayers.

When you read the Bible you will find that as each Name is revealed, it will also show you what that Name means. So pay particular attention to look out for his Names. It is a subject I encourage you to study more in depth as it will be beneficial in your spiritual journey.

So let’s go through these Names and learn what each Name means according to the scriptures. At the end of this article, you will find a prayer you can use to make your own prayer.

God is all powerful, He is omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent and as the Word of God has power, you can pray powerfully using these Names to pray. Your life as a believer will be transformed as you learn more of His various Names and characteristics. He is known in more than 300 Names and here we are only looking at the more popular ones!

In the prayer below, there is a short description of the meaning of each of His Name used. It will be better if you learn to memorize the Names and their meanings.

Let’s pray:
Lord we lift up our family before your Throne of Grace by our declaration of who You are and what you have done for us:-

Lord, you are El Olam, the everlasting God. We thank you that all your promises according to the scriptures are from everlasting to everlasting.

You are El Shaddai, the Almighty God, our sufficiency. There is no other that can be our sufficiency.

As El Elyon, you are the most high God, there is no one that is higher or above your Name.

We thank you for all your provision in meeting our needs. You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider.

We declare that you are Jehovah Rapha, our Healer. By your stripes you have healed and made us whole.  Yes, indeed we are healthy and strong and there is no weakness in us according to your words.

We thank you for being Jehovah Tsidkenu, the Lord our Righteousness. We thank you for this gift that you have given to us. You did it all for us. You have finished your work!

We thank you that you are Jehovah Sabaoth, the Lord of Host. Your angels are always ahead of us to war against our enemies.

As Jehovah Nissi, we will always remember to lift up your Banner to demonstrate that the battle has been won. You are our Victory!

You are Jehovah Shalom, the Prince of Peace. We thank you for giving us your Peace, not as the world gives.

We thank you for leading and guiding each day to our green pasture. You are Jehovah Rohi, our Shepherd.

We are privileged to experience your Glory over us each time we gather before you to pray. You are Jehovah Shammah, the Glory and Lifter of our heads. Amen.

Father indeed for who you are and what you have done and will continue to do, we are truly:-

  1. Deeply loved
  2. Highly favored and
  3. Greatly blessed
