Good Morning

Today I would like to share on

written in Genesis 2:10-14. These rivers are the Rivers of God but hidden in the scriptures are nuggets of blessing all children of God can receive when they discover the true meaning of each river.

It would seem that God created a great river to water the garden when He put both Adam and Eve. Both of them had been tasked to take care of the garden. With the water of life flowing into the garden to water it, it brought fruitfulness to the trees from which the fruits became food for both Adam and Eve.

Then the scriptures went on to mention that from that great river of life it separated into 4 smaller rivers and they flowed in different directions to different places. Each of the 4 rivers has its own unique name and needless to say, they too brought life and fruitfulness to wherever it flowed. Before we consider the meaning of the name of each river, let’s spend some to consider the scripture text in Genesis 2:10-14:

10 And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads.

11 The name of the first is Pison: that is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold;

12 And the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone.

13 And the name of the second river is Gihon: the same is it that compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia.

14 And the name of the third river is Hiddekel: that is it which goeth toward the east of Assyria. And the fourth river is Euphrates.

For discussion here,
I like to refer them as the “FOUR RIVERS OF BLESSING”. Now each river has a name. And as the mighty river parted into 4 rivers, it went forth to water the countries in the North, South, East and West, bringing with it life and many benefits whenever it went.
The 4 rivers are called:-

1. Pison

2. Gihon

3. Hiddekel

4. Euphrates

You will be amazed to know the true meaning of the 4 rivers. You will be blessed by the meaning hidden in these scriptures! Only the diligent will get to know the blessing of God to the fullest intended for God’s children.

Get a good Bible Concordance. I recommend using the Strong’s Concordance, Here are the meanings of the four rivers:

Pison River means “Increase” – This river leads to a land filled with gold and precious gems as suggested in verse

11 The name of the first is Pison: that is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold;

12 And the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone.

Wow, that is our increase of gold and precious jewels. That’s our wealth, isn’t it?

Gihon River means “Bursting forth” – Yes whatever we do, we will break out and burst forth. No barrier of the enemy can stop this power of God!

Hiddekel River means “Rapid” – Wow wow wow! Can you see this blessing. We will not only burst forth, but it will be so fast that it is defined as “rapid”! That means before you sow, the harvest is already on its way to you!. Do you believe? If yes, you should declare the blessing over yourself..

Now let’s  read the meaning of the 4th river! Can you shout s “Halelujah and start receiving even as the truth starts to illuminate in your spirit. I don’t know about you, but I am very excited and truly encouraged by the meaning of the scripture even as I write this article down. Imagine all these nuggets of gold, all hidden if we do not dig into the scriptures. Let’s look at the meaning of the fourth river:

Euphrates River means “fruitfulness” – Oh mine, what a revelation! Are you excited to know that God will cause you to be fruitful and successful in all your endeavours.
