FISHING IN SINGAPORE (My Fishing Spots and Tackles)
Fishing In Singapore (My Fishing Spots and Tackles)
I always enjoy fishing as a weekend leisure. Fishing has always been my interest as a hobby. My other interest is tennis. As a sport going fishing during weekend is a good exercise activity to keep fit and as leisure, it helps one to destress and to meditate in a quiet environment especially when I fished alone at one of the many reservoirs in Singapore. It is refreshing to get up at 5.00 a.m and be at the angling spots to wait for the fishes rising early to catch the worms and have their breakfast! The morning air is so refreshing with the fragrant of flowers and the bees buzzing around adding to the tranquility of the place. Many working people too visit the reservoirs with their families for bonding and to spend a good time together. When we have chalets during holidays, we too can have camp-fire during the evening to enjoy sing-a-long folk songs.
I fished frequently in the East Coast Islands in Malaysia during my younger days.
But now as age has caught up I still love to fish but mostly I do it around the “Shores of Singapore” and its various peaceful reservoirs. Here are some photographs taken at the various fishing spots I frequented. I have also included some of the fishing tackles I used. Further below, I have included some of my fishing gears…Enjoy!
