Power Of The Blood Of Jesus

Power Of The Blood Of Jesus!

Total Protection From Accidents

Photo-Power of the Blood

If we want to have “Total Protection From Accidents” we must first know and understand what the “Blood of Jesus” can do for God’s children. We must know why the Son of God, the Lord Jesus Christ, had to pour out His Precious “Blood” for us. Once we understand them, we must next take an important and I repeat a “very” important action to apply the Blood on ourselves, our family and all our possessions to keep the evil forces away! I have read about how believers, Church Leaders, and even Pastors, lost their lives and possession, simply because they failed to know, understand the “Power Of The Blood Of Jesus” and take action to apply, the Precious Blood, on themselves, their family, their homes, their businesses and work, and their possessions.  They suffered such losses unnecessarily because of their lack of knowledge of the scriptures regarding the teachings on the Power of the Blood of Jesus!

How many believers know the difference between Isaiah 53:5 and 1 Peter 2:24.  The “SECRET” I have discovered is that three (3) little words (which believers can miss if they did not pay attention to them) in each of these 2 scriptures.  Let me clarify as follows:-

ISAIAH 53:5

But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes “we are healed”.  Here the 3 words are “we are healed”.

1 PETER 2:24

24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. Here the 3 words are “we were healed”.

Do you notice the difference between the 2 scriptures, one from the Old Testament and one from the New Testament?

Let me explain further:-

Notice the word “are” used in the Old Testament and the word “were” used in the New Testament!  Do you now see the huge difference?

You see, in Isaiah’s time, the Messiah was prophesied to arrive one day in the Future. Therefore the word “are” was used to point to a future date!

In St Peter’s time, Apostle Peter used the word “were” to point to the past, meaning our healing has already taken place, on the body of our Lord Jesus Christ when His body was hung on the Cross.

Yes, amen and amen, by His stripes we were healed!

Now you see the big difference, isn’t it? So the next time you pray for healing, say:-

“Thank you Lord, by your stripes, we were healed because Lord you gave us our healing now for today by taking upon yourself all our sicknesses and diseases.  That is why you gave us another promise in Galatians 3:13-14 by taking upon yourself all our curses so that we your children can partake healing and wholeness for ourselves, spirit soul and body”.

13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

I trust you now are able to see the difference between the same scripture, one quoted in the Old and one quoted in the New.  This is how accurate the Bible can be if we take time to read, study and meditate on the scriptures.

Now let’s continue and meditate on the rest of today’s living bread:-

When I See The Blood!

Jesus is our Passover Lamb.  He did not only redeem us from all curses (Galatians 3:13-14),  His Precious Blood continues to be a “Token” over us.  If we believe and acknowledge the Power of His Blood, we will be marked by the Blood and every time the destroyer sees the Blood, he will pass over us and our household.

God will not “allow” him to “enter” our house.  This is clearly confirmed in verse 23 of Exodus 12:-

23 For the Lord will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he seeth the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, the Lord will pass “over the door”, and “will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you”.

Do you see it, God made the promise to us His covenanted family that if we honour the Blood of Jessus, believe in him and use the “hyssop of our tongues” to apply the Blood, He will first “pass over the door” to stay with us in our house and He “will not allow“ the destroyer to “come into” our house to strike us!.  Amen, we have the best “weapon” of protection from spiritual evil forces.

If you study the life of Job, in chapter 1, we are told that unless God permits, satan will have no legal right to touch us, our family and our possession.  His Blood is our Protection against any evil forces assigned against us.

His Blood is our Hedge of Protection.  If we do not break the Hedge, we will have God’s complete protection and no harm should come against a believer if this “Hedge” is not broken.  Job showed us how.  Read what Ecclesiates says in 10:8:-

“8 He that diggeth a pit shall fall into it; and “whoso breaketh an hedge“, a serpent shall bite him.”

Yes, for complete peace and safety, we must not, we must never, never, break the Hedge!  For myself, I apply the Blood morning and night.

For more on this, read my posting on “VICTORY THROUGH THE BLOOD OF JESUS”.

Peter warned us never to be disobedient to the “Blood of Sprinkling” which speaks of better things than than of Abel’s.

In Leviticus, we are taught how the High Priest should carefully approach God with the “Blood” through the “Veil” after the first entrance “Gate” and through the “Door” of the Holy Place.  We saw how important it was for our Lord Himself not to be touched by any unholy and unredeemed person, after His Ressurrection, to carry out one final act of bringing His shed Blood to the Heavenly Tabernacle to sprinkle the Divine Holy Blood before the Mercy Seat.  We need to study to know that His Blood is  Holy, Divine and Eternal and Powerful.  Let’s read some of the several of the more important scriptures highlighted  in Exodus 12 below.  Pay attention and meditate on them:-

“Exodus 12:
5 Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats:
7 And they shall “take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post” of the houses, wherein they shall eat it.
11 And thus shall ye eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste: “it is the Lord’s passover”.
13 And the blood shall be to you for a “token” upon the houses where ye are: and “when I see the blood, I will pass over you”, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.
14 And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the Lord throughout your generations; “ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever”.
20 Ye shall eat nothing leavened; in all your habitations shall ye eat unleavened bread.”

Let me emphasize here that scriptures teach us to always stay sanctified, meaning to keep clean and holy in our journey of faith.
We must keep ourself holy for He is Holy!  Therefore, we have to be careful not to say or do anything that can break the Hedge of Protection!

“21 Then Moses called for all the elders of Israel, and said unto them, Draw out and take you a lamb according to your families, and kill the passover.
22 And ye shall “take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the bason”, and strike the lintel and the two side posts with the blood that is in the bason; and none of you shall go out at the door of his house until the morning.
23 For the Lord will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he seeth the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, the Lord will pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you.
24 And ye shall “observe” this thing for an ordinance to thee and to thy sons “for ever”.

Dear Beloved, we must pay heed to this important topic on the “Blood of Jesus” for our own good, for God’s complete protection provided for us through the “Blood of Jesus” shed for us.  Believe and honour the Blood for therein lies the “Power” of God.  Stay clean and pure to stay protected even as you continue your Kingdom’s work for the Lord.  Never leave yourself, your family and possession exposed.  Never leave your house unless you apply the Blood over yourself, your house, family and all your possession.  Apostle Peter has made it very clear that we must be “Obedience” to the “Blood of Sprinkling”.

“1 Peter 1:2 Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ:”

As the Elect of God, we are called not to ignore but to obey the “Sprinkling of the Blood of Jesus Christ.

Now enjoy some of the hymns on the “Power of the Blood of Jesus” as you meditate on and memorize the scriptures below to know that we do not have to fight the battle for the “VICTORY” has been won!

Best Health Food

BEST HEALTH FOOD!

WordofGod9 index  Good Morning

What is the “Best health food” to keep us healthy and strong?

Some would say exercise is the way. Others would say eating healthy is best. Yet many would be sold to taking health food!

For me I love outdoor sports as a way to stay healthy and fit. I have always enjoyed fishing, both inshore and offshore. I too enjoyed cycling. Once whilst during a school break, about 6 of us students from St Patrick’s cycled all the way to Kota Tinggi and back to Singapore. At our destination, I remember all of us took a night rest, yes of all place, in a small Police Station. But then we were students and could not afford a hotel!

When I started working, I enrolled with YMCA and took a course in Judo to keep fit but quit after learning the basics which are more than adequate for self defense.

All these I did to enjoy sports and to stay healthy.

I still go regularly for week-end fishing using light tackle. I have too picked up the British’s fine art of ‘Fly’ fishing using a long rod to spin a fly! This sport requires plenty of practice to acquire the skill.

But the best thing was when I discover the “Power” of the Word of God. It is stimulating and uplifting to read and meditate on the scriptures.  After I began reading the Bible, I have not stopped since. As a habit, I read them daily each morning.  And the result : I discovered the power of the word. Nothing can beat the benefit of reading and meditating on the scriptures. The words, they are truly life and health to our whole body according to the scriptures. And here is one scripture revealing the power and its benefit! Would you believe, by meditating on the word, this has kept me away from doctors. There was a period when I never had a headache or fever for almost 15 years. In my work place, I regularly took the yearly health screen and each time, the doctor gave me a clean bill of health. It is truly amazing what the word can do for us. The caveat of course is we must “believe and act” on the word of God.

Now let’s read this awesome and amazing declaration of God’s word in:-

Proverbs 4:20-22

My son, pay attention to my words.
Bend your ear to my speech.
21 Don’t let them slip from your sight.
    Guard them in your mind.
22 They are life to those who find them,
and healing for their entire body.

Do pay close attention to the words in verse 22″-

“They are life to those who find them, and healing for their entire body”!

Amen
Be blessed

Building the House of the Lord

Building the House of the Lord

Build My House 1 images Good Morning

Christian Fellowship Ministry (CFM) in the market is coming to a close in its first phase of 30 years, and this was made possible because of God’s faithfulness to uphold this ministry, His ministry for us to serve, all of us working in the market place in the City.  And we who have been called are privileged to serve Him. Amen. And the next phase of 30 years will soon begin.

For several months now, the senior members (who are aging) have been on a renewal recruiting exercise – to select younger men and women to serve in the ministry. And we are glad to say that by God’s Grace, it is more than  likely that this ministry will continue on for the next 30 years. But this can only happen by members’ total dedication to get together regularly in prayers, every Tuesday mornings. We know that the success of this ministry owes it to their dedication, to come week after week to pray and intercede for a harvest of souls of those workers working in the market place, all through prayers and intercession.  We thank the small group of intercessors who diligently woke up each Tuesday mornings to attend the prayer meetings from 7:14 am to 8:00 am. Whether in a office room, if we have one, or in a stairway, it did not matter, we just knee and pray together.  And many have been doing so for yes, close to 30 long years! We praise God for their stamina and perseverance to stay faithful and consistent!

These prayer members are certainly “constant” in obeying the voice of the Lord.  Let’s read about King David making plan to build the house for God. King David at the end of his rule wanted to build a house for the Lord but as he was a man of war, God instead chose his son Solomon to do it. Let’s consider today’s scripture in
1 Chronicles 28:
“And he said unto me, Solomon thy son, he shall build my house and my courts: for I have chosen him to be my son, and I will be his father. 7 Moreover I will establish his kingdom for ever, if he be constant to do my commandments and my judgments, as at this day.”

Notice the words in verse 7 “if he be constant to do my commandments”.

And these are still for us, to seek His face, be sharing and serving Him, doing His will and always be “constant” in the things of God. When we do this to be in obedient and constant, we can be assured that His Eyes will be upon us!

So we covet your prayers ceaselessly to pray for us in the CFM ministry so that the Gospel will continue to spread in the market!

Amen
Be blessed

Corn Wine Oil

Corn Wine Oil

Latter rain 1 index  Good Morning

This morning I would like to share on the blessings of the Lord through His “Corn Wine Oil” provided for believers.  Many times, we are happy with the rain of God to water us. And that would be enough, but then there is also the greater rain the Bible calls it “The Latter Rain”. God wants to bless His children abundantly and always more than enough than our needs! What a Mighty and Loving God we serve. Amen.

In John 10:10 Jesus made a declaration that anyone who believes in Him will have His abundant life. That means whatever we lack, He will provide and so much more.  That’s what it means what we talk about the abundant life of God!

In contrast we see a sad statement in Joel 1:10,

“The field is wasted, the land mourneth; for the corn is wasted: the new wine is dried up, the oil languisheth”.

God’s people were in such a state because of only one thing: they were disobedient. They did not seek His face but instead began to worship other gods. But when they sought His face and were obedient, God restored their relationship with Him and prospered them. Our God is caring, loving, compassionate and merciful.

I 1 Samuel 15, Prophet Samuel said to King Saul:-

1 Samuel 15:
“22 And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams”.

Indeed no amount of sacrifices we make can be better than to be obedient. Now let’s see how to live under an “open heaven” where God never stop pouring His blessings on His children:-

Deuteronomy 11:
“13 And it shall come to pass, if ye shall hearken diligently unto my commandments which I command you this day, to love the LORD your God, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul, 14 That I will give you the rain of your land in his due season, the first rain and the latter rain, that thou mayest gather in thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil. 15 And I will send grass in thy fields for thy cattle, that thou mayest eat and be full.”

Yes and amen, the Lord will grant us both the “former and latter rain” to give us His continued provisions, corn, wine and oil. It is one thing to have the early rain but without the latter rain, it will not be possible for us to have an abundant harvest of our crops! Many believers received the former rain but when the time drew near for the crops to be harvested, there was no latter rain and the crops dried and died. And so is our walk with God. We can start good loving the Lord and His word, but if we start to lose our passion for Him and His word, our harvests of corn, wine and oil, can die of premature death!

So it is much similar to our natural desire to want to grow in the things we do, whether it be our study or career. We should therefore work diligently on our growth in the things of God. If we do that, surely we can expect to receive His continued abundant provision of His Corn for our food, His Wine for our joy and His Oil to empower us!

This is awesome by simply obeying Him! To obey is better than sacrifice.

Amen
Be blessed

Thoughts Of Peace

Thoughts Of Peace!

Peace 1 index  Good Morning

God’s people, only a small remnant was sent into captivity under King Nebuchadrezzar for 70 years because of one thing: Their repeated rebellion and disobedience.

And in the midst of this sad event, God raised up a Prophet called Jeremiah (popularly known as the “Weeping Prophet“) who often cried and wept before the Lord, fearing that one day of the possibility they would all be wiped out totally by their enemies! And that was the time God spoke to His people through Jeremiah these comforting words:

Jeremiah 29:
10 For thus saith the LORD, That after seventy years be accomplished at Babylon I will visit you, and perform my good word toward you, in causing you to return to this place. 11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. 12 Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. 13 And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. 14 And I will be found of you, saith the LORD: and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places whither I have driven you, saith the LORD; and I will bring you again into the place whence I caused you to be carried away captive.

His comforting words came “I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end”

And you will notice that these comforting words and promises are conditional! God told them and us as well that if we Seek Him with all our hearts, all will find Him and He will help to deliver us from all our problems! Amen.

Now read Isaiah 43:4 and see His expression of how He thinks of you and me!
“Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life.”

Wow, we are precious in His sight! What more can we say of a God who loved us enough to send His only begotten Son to die for sinners!

To some believers one time or another, one reason or another, they could have lost sight of His love and may turn away from Him!  But how could this be, if we consider his kind and loving words in Jeremiah 29:11 and Isaiah 43:4?

So dear Beloved, make no mistake that God truly loves and cares for us. God has done His part and all that it takes is for us to do our part to reciprocate His love for us.  Are you convinced and would you this day receive Jesus as your Lord and Saviour?

This is the truth that in his words “We are precious” yes very precious to Him!

So let’s remind ourselves of His words and be comforted today:-

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”

Amen
Be blessed

We Shall Be Strong (Daniel 11:32)

We Shall Be Strong

Strong 1a images  Good Morning

Daniel 11:32… “but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits”

This is my testimony of the many exploits I experienced!

I like tennis. One evening about 30 years ago I was sitting down in an umpire chair to rest after a game at Braddell Height Estate, Singapore. I was still resting and watching my friends playing their rounds when suddenly I heard a voice speaking inside me. Before that, I have heard the same voice a few times calling my birth name as if it were my close friends. At that time, I was still an unbeliever and naturally I thought the voice was really someone calling me. As an unbeliever, I had no experience at all what the voice of God really was!  The words went something like:-

“Are you still waiting? I have given you many things and saved you from serious injuries or death? Should you not start a spiritual search to find out about the God who took care of you all these years?”

After the episode, I began a new reading habit.  I went to library and bookstores searching for materials written about God and spiritual matters. Here are some previous experiences I had before I became a believer:-

I Helped A Girl Who Fell In A Bus

Many many years ago, I was returning home after a visit to see my wife. It was then very late, almost close to 12 midnight.  I was riding in a bus when it made a wide turn at a bend. A teenage girl seating at a corner seat suddenly lost her balance and fell from her seat. She was hurt. She must have knocked her head against some metal object.  She got a nasty cut on her forehead and was bleeding. No one rushed to help her. Imagine, a girl was hurt and they remained seated in their seats!

Without a thought, I immediately got up to help.  The bus driver was standing, watching, perhaps in shock. My thought was to get her to hospital quickly and so I told the driver to stop the bus and let us down. The bus had stopped at a stretch of a lonely quiet road (Lornie Road) with hardly any traffic.  You see, it was then past midnight and the bus was running its final service.  But surprisingly help came almost immediately. A  taxi came along and I waved for it to stop. He took us to the nearest hospital at Toa Payoh Hospital. After her admission, I left and proceeded to her house to inform her parents. They were so grateful and even tried to reward me with some money to show their gratitude for helping their daughter.

A Kelong Worker Fell Into The Sea

Another time I was on a short holiday staying at a Kelong for some some fishing in Mersing, Malaysia. One early morning while preparing my fishing equipment, I saw a worker tripped and fell into the sea. He was struggling to stay afloat. Obviously he could not swim.  Without hesitation, I jumped into the water and managed to pull him out safely. Fortunately, I learned to swim when I was very young.

Man Struggling In Sea At East Coast Park

Another time at a picnic in East Coast Park beach, I saw someone in waters shouting for help. Immediately, I swam towards him and managed to get him out to safety. Saved 3 lives and more…

I often wondered why these events happened to me! Perhaps the Lord saw my heart. In this forum you will read how I enjoy witnessing to win souls for the Lord! At 70, I am still at it, winning souls for the kingdom! It is such a joy to see an unsaved one praying the “sinner prayer”, Amen.

In John 10:10, the scripture tells us that the devil’s work is to kill, steal and destroy: “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” I suppose I am no exception. Whether a person is saved or not, it makes no difference to the devil. But the difference for believers is that we are equipped with the armour and weapon of God, Amen.  I thank the Lord for the chapter in Ephesians 6!

Yes, we must never forget to thank the Father for sending His only begotten Son Jesus to save us!. He came to give us life and life more abundantly. All Glory to Him!

I remember one incident when I was in secondary school. I had climbed up a tree to retrieve a fishing line which got stuck. When I moved further up a branch, it suddenly cracked under my weight and I fell at least 10 feet down.  I used my hand to break the fall and broke my wrist.

I remember another incident.  One morning I was on my way to work.  It was in my early years of work. I was riding a scooter along Napier Road when a schoolgirl after crossing one half of the road in front of me, decided to turn around to pick up something she dropped from her school bag. I braked and could not avoid her. She was knocked down and unlike a car, there was no protection for me. I remember being flung into the air, somersaulted, and somehow landed on my knees.  Yes it must have been a guardian angel on assignment! Amen. I was unharmed except for torn shirt, trouser and minor bruises. I recovered my stature, lifted her up and moved her to the side of the road. Praise God, a kind samaritan stopped by and took us in his car to hospital. Perhaps he was also an angel sent to help.

There were other near death incidents too but I will share other time!

From all these incidents happening, it was as if I could not die. God was somehow preserving me to share His story? It was the “Call of God” on my life. I thank Jesus for saving me and allowing me now to serve Him!

After the tennis game that night, I went home and started some soul searching about the incidents and the invisible hands that protected me. I started reading the Bible and slowly I lost interest in tennis. Attending Church meetings became my new passion. I thank God for His love, mercy and grace in sending His beloved Son Jesus to save us.

Amen
Be blessed

Watch And Pray

Watch And Pray

Pray 1b images  Good Morning

In our journey of faith, prayer is so important to keep us focus, lest we can become weary. We need to pray even more in these last days, while we await the Lord’s return.

This morning, let us be encouraged by a few words from Apostle Paul’s letter to the Church in Colossians 4:

2 Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving”

Yes we are to continue to “watch and pray“.

“3 Withal praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds: 4 That I may make it manifest, as I ought to speak”

Notice that when we pray, we should also ask the Lord to open a door for us to boldly proclaim the Gospel to the unsaved including our family members, friends and anyone we come into contact with and who we know has yet to know the Lord.

“5 Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time”

To the unbelievers, we need to act wisely, always avoiding idle talk lest we waste away unnecessary precious time and loose an opportunity to win a soul. We need to redeem the time, yes start doing what we have been called to do, act like Jesus and talk like Jesus! Yes boldly preaching the word in season and out of season. Be a soul winner to be wise! In my workplace, one of the best opportunity is when I learn of colleagues leaving the job to work in another place.  On the last day, I would always make an appointment to pray a blessing for them with another colleague.  Often on such occasions, there opens an opportunity to ask “Friend, other than praying a blessing for your new endeavor, may I also pray for you to know Jesus personally.  Would you allow us to pray along with you?”  And yes, many have had been saved! To God be all the Glory! Winning precious souls for the Lord is such a joy! I just love it, Amen!

Yes sharing the Gospel is a worthy occupation! And you too can do likewise.  Just be creative, be wise and look for an opportunity to hand out a track, or a Bible or simply share a testimony which no one can resist to hear.

You know, in our ministry (CFM market place ministry), we buy 100 Bibles, big and small, to give away every few months. We do this to create opportunity to reach out to the lost!  And everyone attending the CFM meeting can always pick a Bible or track, FOC!  Sometime we encourage them to take more, so that they too can give it away to their friends and colleagues. Yes, stretching the fishing net wide on the harvest field in the City!  I don’t know about you, but I get very excited doing the work of an evangelist, do you?

So friends, do not be weary of prayers and reaching out to others. Spending good time in prayers can strengthen our spirit man and give us boldness, the “want to share” spirit!  Remember always to arm yourself with some tracks, and give as you are led, in the streets, in the trains, at food courts while having our meals, yes in season and out of season, just do not stop sharing but redeeming precious time!

6 Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man”

Oh yes, we need the “Salt” for its preservative power, to keep us going forward as onward Christian Soldiers! Amen and Amen.

When you go to work, walk in wisdom, redeeming the time as Paul preached it.

Amen
Be blessed

He Became A Mortal Man

He Became A Mortal Man!

Mortal man 2    Good Morning

It is good and edifying to start the day with the Lord, reading and meditating on the word. How blessed we are that the Bible has been freely made available for all.

Let me share with you today a scripture in Hebrews which demonstrates the love of the Father:-

Hebrews 2:9
“But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.”

In the above scripture, we are told that the Father has for our sake made His only begotten Son a little lower than angels. It is awesome to note that the Lord, an immortal, became a mortal man, a miracle by itself, driven out of His love and mercy for sinners.

As you know, angels do not die. But He was made like us as a mortal man to face and taste death for every man, that we might have His life!

Truly, how low can our Lord get? How about you? That’s why Paul kept asking believers to avoid pride but to always remain humble!

Amen – all glory and praise to Him!

Be blessed

Precious Blood of Jesus

PRECIOUS BLOOD OF JESUS

Precious blood 3   Good Morning

The is a very powerful doctrine, a person cannot have “Salvation” unless he is “redeemed” by the Precious Blood of Jesus.  In addition, he is not longer condemned but “justified” by the Precious Blood of Jesus. Further, with salvation and justification, he is also made “holy” and “righteous”, just as if he had not sinned, by the yes, Precious Blood of Jesus.

This posting is taken from one of my Bible lessons conducted for new converts attending the CFM market place ministry in the City.  This one is from Part 1 Series.  I hope this posting will help you to understand more on what Apostle Peter called it “The Precious Blood of Jesus“.  The meditation explores on the precious principle taught in the Book of Job that we can have “Victory through the Blood of Jesus”. It is such a precious gem and every believer should learn of this truth as to how important it is for all of us, especially the Head of the Family, to take authority over all demonic attacks of the enemy against God’s people by covering ourselves everyday with the Blood of Jesus.   Psalms 91 gives us a snapshot of the many wiles of the devil and how we can seek God’s protection through our daily decree and declaration of the Promises of God.  Knowledge of the “Power of the Blood” as revealed in chapter 1 and 2 of the Book of Job can set believers free and enjoy their freedom in Christ.

The book of Job reveals some very important truths about Satan with respect to God’s people.  Among them are these:-

* Satan does not have a free hand toward God’s people. He must operate within certain limits set by God.
* Satan’s intention toward God’s people is far more hateful than most of us realize.
* We can experience God’s active protection by His mercy and grace towards us through the daily application of the Blood as Job did.

Knowing these truths will help us better understand some of the negative things happening to us and what we can do about them in our daily living.  It is necessary therefore that we must be adequately prepared to protect ourselves, our possession and our family. Job’s way of praying for protection is a good example how we can continue to appropriate the promises of God’s Word in our daily walk with Him.

How Job built the “Hedge” to protect his Family and Possession

Let’s read the Scripture Text in Job 1 to 2 to learn some keys :-

Key:-

1. Job applied the Blood (Job 1:5)

2. God’s protection – Satan cannot cause harm unless God allow it (Job 1:10-12)

3. First Test – Satan destroyed  (Job 1:13-19):

  • (a) His cattle
  • (b) His sheep and workers
  • (c) His camels and workers
  • (d) His children

4. Second Test – Satan put sickness on Job 1:4-6)

5. Job’s complete Trust in God (Job 1:22, 2:10)

6. Restoration (Job 42:10-12)

PRAYER FOR PROTECTION ACCORDING TO JOB 1:10

1. Revelation 12:11-Victory
2. Exodus 12:21-23-Passover
3. 1 Corinthians 5:6-Jesus Our Passover Lamb

Prayer for the Hedge of Protection

Father, in the name of Jesus, We ask for your hedge of protection to cover me, my family and all our possession against any and all evil spiritual forces assigned against us.

According to your word, I now by faith sprinkle the Blood of Jesus:-

1) over my spirit soul and body and every member of my family, my wife, sons and daughters and their spouses (name everyone)
2) over our houses and everything within
3) over our finances, savings and investment
4) over our work, job, and everything we do
5) over our work of the ministry in your service

I thank you that through the Blood, we have been redeemed from the power of darkness, we have been justified, made righteous just as if we have never sinned and we have been sanctified, made holy, separated from the world unto you and that Jesus our Lord is our Passover lamb of God and that through His Blood, we have overcome satan and all his cohorts.

We thank you Father for this Hedge of Protection over us.

In Jesus’ Name.  AMEN

None of you shall go out of the door of your house until morning. 23 When the LORD goes through the land to strike down the Egyptians, he will see the blood on the top and sides of the doorframe and will pass over that doorway, and he will not permit the destroyer to enter your houses and strike you down.”

Prayer: “Our Lord Jesus is our Lamb of God.  He died for for our sins and is our Passover.  Through His shed Blood over us, the destroyer has to pass over our house.  Only God can and will enter our house to be with us to watch and protect us”.

3. CHRIST OUR PASSOVER LAMB

11. INTERCESSION

Hebrews 12:22-2424
“..to Jesus the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel”
Prayer:
“Thank you Lord that even if I cannot pray, the Blood of Jesus is pleading for me in heaven.”

12. ACCESS TO GOD

Gospel of Peace

Gospel of Peace

Perfectpeace 2 index  Good Morning

This is a beautiful and an encouraging scripture:-

Romans 10:15 “How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!”

Ever since I became a believer, my preoccupation each day is to look for opportunity to reach out to those who have not yet heard the good news.  And praise God, many have come to know the Lord and were saved. Yes let’s reach out to the lost, and “preach the word, in season and out of season” and make our feet beautiful as Heaven cheers and rejoices! Amen.

It is necessary that we obey the scripture in 2 Timothy 4:2 “Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; …” We should never be weary of sharing the good news.  It is an issue of making a decision to choose either heaven or hell! We should therefore tarry on to reach out to the unsaved, especially those you know to be still without Jesus. How sad if they have not heard the good news!  And the scripture continues:

“14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and ‘how shall they hear without a preacher? ”

So take courage, be bold and start witnessing!. Who would you reach out today?

Romans 10:
“13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? 15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! “

Forever Grateful

Forever Grateful

Forever grateful 4  Good Morning

In Daniel 11:32, the Prophet Daniel taught and encouraged believers to stand strong and to be steadfast in the Lord. And in the scripture here, he said that if we do that we will do many exploits, and many adventures in the Lord!

“But the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits”

In Philippians he persuaded all his followers never to give up the faith but to persevere to serve one another and to grow to have the “mind of Christ”. On growth, he said in Philippians 3:10 these words: –

“That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection …”

As we read and study the scriptures, the Holy Spirit will always be with us to give us understanding and the wisdom of the words for our growth. The Holy Spirit is our great Teacher and the scriptures are God’s truths and his “Living Bread” as food for our spirit man. That’s why we should always and be “forever grateful” to the Lord and and His Cross!

When a believer wakes up each morning, what do you think would be his or her first thought? Does he hears a hymn or does he say “Thank you Lord for this new day” ?  I am persuaded that this attitude should be our main focus and thought, not the cares of the world!

Just read the words in this chorus. Shouldn’t this be the thoughts in our mind?

“And I’m forever grateful to You
I’m forever grateful for the Cross
I’m forever grateful to You
That You came To seek and save the lost”

Amen
Be blessed

Peace Of God

Peace of God

Good Morning

Everyday there will be challenges before us. And we know only the peace of God will be our answer. So how do we begin the day?

A good place to begin would be in Philippians where we are taught the way to have peace.

Philippians 4:
6 Be anxious for nothing,

First we must not be worry. We should learn to rejoice and shout praises to the Lord for the things He has done.

Then start praying :

“… but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God”

When we have prayed and committed our needs to Him, you will notice that peace will come marching sweetly into our hearts. Yes that’s the way of the Lord. Because we know that God is love and He loves us all. He does not want His children to be anxious! Amen.

And this is reinforced by John 3:16:-

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

And Philippians 4 continues in verse 7:-

“…and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

And favourite scripture spoken by our Lord Himself is in John 14:17:

“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid”

Isn’t this comforting whenever we seek the Lord for His love, strength and comfort?

So let the Peace of God protect your hearts and minds.

He Called Me!

How I Was Saved!

chosenofgod2 Good Morning

This is my testimony how I was saved!

Amen
Be blessed

Power Of Two

Twobetterthanone  Good Morning

Power of Two!

Now let’s read today’s scriptures on the power of two. There are a few scriptures we will meditate today. These are powerful teachings taught in the Bible. Learn it and you will make yourself available to receive His “Power” to teach, preach and heal! Amen.

Matthew 18:19
“I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven”.

You know, when we “follow” Jesus, we have been changed into another person.  The Bible calls it “New Creation”. That’s what happened to Zacchaeus. Before his conversion, Zacchaeus was all alone. He was a tax collector for the Roman Empire and he charged hefty interest, more than what he was supposed to collect. Because of that he was hated, wealth acquired through his wicked ways. But though rich, yet Zacchaeus was all alone, a lonely man. His life was empty. But then one day everything changed when he decided to follow Jesus. Let’s read Luke 19:8:-

“8 And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord; Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold.”

Now it is Zacchaeus plus Jesus. In his conversion, love poured into his heart. Hard became pliable and soft. So instead of cheating, he decided to restore those he cheated by returning them four (4) times more. Amen. That’s the Power of Two.

Similarly, when Jesus comes into our lives, His provision becomes ours to possess and it is “UNLIMTED”; That’s because it is now “You plus Jesus”, the power of two coming together.

In the scripture above Matthew 18:19, we are shown this awesome power when believers come together to worship and pray! That’s when Heaven will stand still!

Another mysterious scripture is equally powerful touching on the “Power of Two”. This is a mystery because mathematically, it does not add up. Let’s read Deuteronomy 32:30

“30 How should one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight”.

During that period, the enemies were more powerful than the Israelite’s because of their disobedience. But when they obeyed, they became mighty men of God. There are more scriptures equally mysterious. Let’s look at Leviticus 26:6-8:-

“6 And I will give peace in the land, and ye shall lie down, and none shall make you afraid: and I will rid evil beasts out of the land, neither shall the sword go through your land.
7 And ye shall chase your enemies, and they shall fall before you by the sword.
8 And five of you shall chase an hundred, and an hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight: and your enemies shall fall before you by the sword”

These numbers “5 shall chase 100″ and “100 shall put 10,000 to flight” they just do not mathematically add up or make sense! But they are the words of God and we just have to simply believe.  Perhaps one day it will be revealed when we are in Heaven! Amen.

Here’s another scripture taken from Joshua:-

Joshua 23:8-11
8 But cleave unto the LORD your God, as ye have done unto this day.
9 For the LORD hath driven out from before you great nations and strong: but as for you, no man hath been able to stand before you unto this day.
10 One man of you shall chase a thousand: for the LORD your God, he it is that fighteth for you, as he hath promised you.
11 Take good heed therefore unto yourselves, that ye love the LORD your God.

In verse 9, Joshua at this time was old and had to pass on the leadership. He spoke and left instructions to all the leaders of Israel to remind them to continue to stay faithful and obedient to the Lord. And so long as they remained faithful and obedient, no enemy can stand before them for God will fight their battles. In verse 10, it says “One man of you shall chase a thousand “! This is the mystery of the ways of God!

Finally, read these words in Ecclesiastes 4:

Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour.

And verse 4:12:-

And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.”

So, brethren, let’s pay heed to the teaching in the Bible on the “Power of Two”. Let’s always remember to make efforts regularly to gather together to study the scriptures, worship and pray. For it is at these meetings that we experience the divine “Power of Two”.

Amen
Be blessed

It Is Finished

It Is Finished!

Good Morning

How many of you would praise our Lord for that three (3) precious words “It is Finished” in John 19:30?

“So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.” Oh how grateful we should be for that was the day when he laid up his life on the Calvary for sinners. He came to save the “lost”.

How about the verse in Mark 16:38 about what He did after His resurrection?

“Mark 15:38 And the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom.”

Yes, His work to do the Father’s will for three and a half years on earth as the Son of man was finished! And when He took His own Blood to Heaven, He gave us all a New Beginning to anyone who will believe! He lives that we shall live also.

It is the institution of the New Covenant H made with the Father on our behalf with His own Precious Blood? Hallelujah , Worthy is the lamb of God! Praise His Holy Name!

Now we can partake of the Holy Communion, the Bread and the Cup everyday to remember what He did for you and I. Amen.

Now let’s look at the words of the New Covenant and meditate on them today:-

Hebrews 19:
“15 Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before,
16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;
17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
18 Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.

This is Glorious, isn’t it?  He has put his words in our hearts and in our minds. Now we can know Him and its fullness through the teaching and guidance of the Holy Spirit who lives in us.  Read Ephesians 1 below and see for yourself how much He has given and provided for us, His children! Amen.

Ephesians 1:
“18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what “the riches of the glory of his inheritance” in the saints, 19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, 20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, 21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: 22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church.”

Amen

God Is Light

God Is Light

Light 5 images  Good Morning

In John 9 we read of a man who was born blind but when Jesus healed him, he received light. The Apostle John declared in 1 John 1 that the gospel is preached to us so that our “Joy” may be full.

He also stated that God is “Light”.

1 John 1:4-5
“4 And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.”

“5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.”

So this morning I ask that we consider and have our meditation on these 2 very important words, “Joy and Light”.

You may ask yourself  “Am I walking my journey of faith with joy? Yes we do experience situations and they can suck our joy away but John said that we should not suffer needlessly so long as we make it a habit to get our daily dose of the Word of God by reading and meditating on them. Better still to accompany your reading by doing a little study to dig a little deeper into them till the written words become rhema and speak to our situation.

My own experience has taught me to stay in the word and to retain them in our hearts and then, we will be fed and not hunger and thirst unnecessary. But if we fail to do that, the world can become a very dark place and leave us very discouraged. Now notice verse 5 which declares to us that “God is Light and in Him is no darkness at all”. Amen! Do you see it, our joy is dependent on how much “light” we receive from His word?

Another nugget from the words is in 1 John 2:15-17:-

Just look and be amazed at the wisdom of God’s words teaching us 3 very important rules:-

“15 Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world. 17 And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.”

THE 3 RULES

Rule 1 : The lust of the flesh

Rule 2 : The lust of the eyes

Rule 3 : The pride of life

It is truly awesome, isn’t it, believers can live a successful Christ centred life by just obeying these 3 rules?

Now let’s look at another scripture in John 1:12 where it declares:-

“I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”

Yes He calls it the light of “LIFE”!  Truly, the LORD is the great I Am, our present help, anywhere and anytime! Amen.

Therefore, dear brethren, let’s make it a daily habit to read and meditate on His word, just like we have our 3 meals daily.

So, be full with His word and His Joy! Let His Light shines brightly and darkness and all will surely flee!
Amen
Blessed

Gift of God

Gift of God

What is your portion?

King David wrote in Psalms 16:5 that the Lord was his portion:-

Psalms 16:5
“The LORD is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot.”

This morning let’s meditate on the Gift of God, given to each of us as our portion. There are at least 14 scriptures where we are taught about the gift. Salvation is a gift and so is His Grace. Check them out.

Today we will consider 2 of them:-

(1) John 4:10
“Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.”

Jesus told the Samaritan woman at the well that He is the Living Water. This is His gift to us. In life, there will be occasions when we will thirst for water just like the woman at the well. But if we seek Him, He will be the Living Water to us! Amen?

The next scripture is in Ecclesiastes.

(2) Ecclesiastes 3:13
“And also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labour, it is the gift of God.”

Here Job wrote of the vagaries of life and explained why and how we should learn to accept and be contented what has been given to us. Some may have more than us but we must not envy them. Instead, we should honour God by giving Him thanks in all and everything. That’s the teachings in Philippians.

So dear Brethren, let’s be happy and be thankful for our family, our job and our possession. They are our portions. It is the Gift of God!

Amen
Be blessed

Sowing Seed

Sowing Seed

Sowing 2 images  Good Morning

I had a vision last Saturday of a farmer ploughing the land and immediately the “Parable of the Sower” came to mind.

Having studied the accounts in Matthew, Mark and Luke, it is apparent that our Lord through this parable wants to show us the four characteristics of believers, each showing how they treat the word of God which is typified as seeds:-

Matthew 13:3-9:-

Then He spoke many things to them in parables, saying: “Behold, a sower went out to sow. And as he sowed, some seed fell by the wayside; and the birds came and devoured them. Some fell on stony places, where they did not have much earth; and they immediately sprang up because they had no depth of earth. But when the sun was up they were scorched, and because they had no root they withered away. And some fell among thorns, and the thorns sprang up and choked them. But others fell on good ground and yielded a crop: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!”

How the seeds fell and were received:-

1. Wayside – Immediately the seeds were eaten by the fowls before a believer receives it. (Mark 4:15 And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts). A believer with no depth of God’s word suffer such fate.

2. Stony ground – A believer with stony ground is one that has a hardened heart with no moisture to soften it, causing the seed to die and not take root. (Mark 4:5 And some fell on stony ground, where it had not much earth; and immediately it sprang up, because it had no depth of earth. 5 But when the sun was up, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away).

Seeds stony images

3. Thorns – The words were choked by the cares of life. (Mark 4:7 And some fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up, and choked it, and it yielded no fruit). A believer in this category bears no fruit to show. Their focus seems to be on the cares of this world.

sow seeds on thorns images

4. Good soil – The seed fell in good ground, on a honest and good heart. A person who loves the Word of God, reading and studying it in depth, learning the way of life casting all the cares on the Lord and learning to soar like an eagle!

Abundant harvest 1c images

We see here in verse 8 that when the word of God is received, it will bear fruits, 30, 60 or even 100 folds!

(Mark 4:20 And these are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred).

Yes, it is how we hear and receive the word:-

Let us therefore pay heed to His words, incline our ears to them, turn not to the left or right, meditate on them day and night! And receive all that the Lord wants to give you to bear fruits a hundred folds!

Amen
Be blessed

Power Of The Gospel

Power Of The Gospel!

Good Morning

Early this morning the Lord reminded me about the “Power” He has given to each of us, that is the “Power of the Gospel! He reminded me that I am to tell that in ourselves we have nothing, absolutely no power at all.

And He reminded me of the scripture in Romans 1:16:-

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth”

In this verse the word “Power” here is rendered as “DUNAMIS” in Greek. The root word is from the word “dynamite”, which is the “explosive” power of God. In addition, we see in Roman 1:17, the revelation of God’s Righteousness:-

“For therein is the righteousness of God revealed…” Amen.

We see in this verse that in sharing the Gospel, we are to share on the “Righteousness” of God.
It is never about our good works, lest we boast. It is the “Power” of the Gospel where His righteousness is revealed. This is the reason why when the Gospel is shared and preached, unsaved souls are convicted of their sins by the “Power”, the dunamis power of the gospel, paving the way for them to be saved.

All that we need to do as witnesses for Jesus is to just tell others about the Gospel and the “Power” of the Gospel” will do the rest!

I see the Bible as the most powerful thing on earth! It gives us the Word of God. I do not know of any other power that is greater. Additionally, the word power used in the scripture has many other shades of meaning in Greek. Here are a few of such words:-

1. The first word KRATOS stands for power of dominion.

2. Another power word is EXOUXIA  which stands for power of delegated authority.

3. Another is DUNAMIS (listed above) which is that explosive power that destroys every yoke of bondage.

4. The next word is ISCHYS which is gained through ceaseless prayer.  Certainly, a prayerless person is a person without the power of God!

The sum total of such powers all combined is the “Resurrection Power” that raised our Lord Jesus from the dead, Amen?  Paul said in Philippians 3:10:-

“That I may know him, and the power (Dunamis) of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death”

So dear Brethren, His “Dunamis Power” is in us for service! Let’s tell others of the Gospel!

Amen
Be blessed

He Gave

He Gave

Oh how can we ever adequately thank God for love shown to us through John 3:16:-

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life”.

It is through this “Gift Of God” demonstrated by His love in giving His only begotten “Son” to us that I live, move and have my being each new day.

As usual I start the day thanking Him for His love and care for me and my family. I thank Him for this new day even as I live one day at a time. This is the day He has made for us and I will rejoice in Him. I thank Him for providing all my needs according to Matthew 6:33 even as I seek His face daily. I thank Him for keeping me well, healthy and strong according to 1 Peter 2:24. “…By whose stripes ye were healed”. I thank Him for His protection through His angels surrounding me and my family according to Psalms 91.  He is my refuge and my fortress! I thank Him for the peace in my family and our nation according to John 14:27. “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”

And most of all, I thank Him for the overcoming “Blood of Jesus” in Revelation 12:11:-

“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony”

And through these blessings, I see the Lord’s moving ahead of me, leading and guiding me into this day of His Abundant life!

So go ahead, thank Him for His Love!

Amen
Be blessed

Blood of Sprinkling

Blood of Sprinkling

Good Morning

This morning I would like to share on the “Blood of Sprinkling” taught by Apostle Peter. Of all the disciples, he, Peter, wrote much on the Blood of Jesus, to emphasize how much the Blood shed by our Lord has done for us! He called the Blood of Jesus “Precious”.

Here’s the scripture:-

“1 Peter 1: 2 Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ”.

Here Peter is teaching us that all believers after having been redeemed and sanctified by the Blood need to continue to sprinkle the Blood daily for protection and victory over all evil forces!

Let’s look at how the Israelites in Egypt escaped from death when the destroyer was out to kill them.

Exodus 12:
“12 For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the LORD.
13 And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.”

In the above scripture, we are first taught how to protect our house, possession, and family with the precious Blood which must be applied at the doorpost of the house!

Rahab and the Scarlet Thread

In another scripture in Joshua 2:18, we find another example of the power of the Blood for protection.  In this occasion, God commanded Joshua to take down the City of Jericho inhabited by their enemies. Jericho was to be completely destroyed except the dwelling of a woman named Rahab.  That part of the wall where she dwelled was not to be destroyed. She was instructed to tie a “Scarlet Thread” (a type of the blood) on the window of her dwelling.

“Behold, when we come into the land, thou shalt bind this line of scarlet thread in the window which thou didst let us down by: and thou shalt bring thy father, and thy mother, and thy brethren, and all thy father’s household, home unto thee.”

And in Revelation, we are again reminded that no blood means no victory over the destroyer.

Revelation 12:11
“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony”

In this scripture, here’s the key:-
You apply the blood by your confession of what the Blood of Jesus has done for us.

So let’s search every scripture on what the blood has done and will continue to bless and protect us!
Apply it on your family, everyone, your home, your possession, your work for protection.

Amen
Be blessed

Zoe Life

Zoe Life

abundant life 3a images  Good Morning

According to the Greek New Testament, there are three kinds of lives: the bios (physical) life, the psuche (psychological) life, and the zoe (eternal) life.

Each morning I write my “Living Bread” messages during the half hour journey in the MRT train from my home in Ang Mo Kio Estate, Singapore, to my work place in Robinson Road to encourage believers who regularly attended the Christian Fellowship Ministry (CFM) meetings held each Tuesday Week in the City. Here’s one written on 7 May 2014:-

Zoe Life – The God Kind Of Life

Romans 8:13
“For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live”.

In Romans, a wonderful book, it teaches us how to have Zoe Life, the God Kind of Life, and avoid death.  It deals with the spiritual, the spiritual life and and spiritual death.  Our inner man or the human spirit needs spiritual food to grow.  Without it, a Christian becomes weak. Read it, it will bless and help you to grow strong!

I encourage you to read the 2 books of Samuel about King David. Oh if you have not, I encourage you to do so! It has so many spiritual keys to help believers grow and stand strong. But when you study them, focus on the anointing of David! You learn why he was anointed 3 times, each time for a specific purpose. Each time, he grew greater in wisdom and stronger to battle against his enemies.

The 1st time, he was empowered with strength and boldness to slay Goliath, but although God told Samuel to anoint David as King, yet it was pre matured to give him the Kingdom. Saul was still King.

The 2nd time, the people of the Tribe of Judah chose and anointed him to rule over them, yes only ONE tribe of Judah.

The 3rd time was so very different. Abner, King Saul’s General with the agreement of Israel, representing the other 11 tribes, told David, that Israel too would want him to appoint him as their King too.
And so he was given all 12 Tribes of Israel and Judah to rule. In the 3 anointings, we learn how David walked with God, always staying humble and kind to his men. And as he did that, God exalted him and made him stronger and stronger. No armies could stand before him and his powerful leaders under his mentorship, all grew to be mighty warriors! We too can grow to be like David and his men.

You should read Psalms 23 written by him. He was always yielded to the Lord. He was faithful and obedient. But this morning I want to share with you how to know and walk in the “Ways” of God!
How many want to know His ways, His nature and how He deals with us? David knew the ways of God and so did many great men of God described in the Bible like Moses. OK I am arriving at Raffles. I will write further during lunch break. I close with:-

Psalms 103:7
“He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel”.

Amen
Be blessed

Dear All

As promised, here is part 2 of today’s living bread:-

Let me continue this morning message by sharing a little on the place “Wilderness”  referred to in the Bible. In Exodus, we saw how God delivered His people out of their bondage for 400 years under Pharoah. God took them “out” into the Wilderness and after 40 years, God allowed His people to “enter” the promised land of “Milk and Honey”.  You see, when God takes you out of your bondage, He will surely bring you into his land of plenty, the land of milk and honey. Amen.

Now “Wilderness” as the name implies, is a place void of shelter and provision. There was no drink, food or clothe for the people. God was their only Provider. He provided:-

  • Their daily food by way of daily Manna
  • Fowl (quail) for their meat
  • Fire as light by night as they rested
  • Pillar of Cloud by day to lead them wherever God wanted to take them.

But sadly, they never seemed to understand God. They murmured and complained day and night. When there was no water, they went after Moses and God provided their water gushing out from the rock. When they were tired of eating the Manna, they complained and God rained down Quails for them to eat. God really tolerated and took care of them, but they never stopped complaining…murmuring and complaining, from day to night, until they were bitten by the desert serpents.  At one time, God told Moses He would wipe them all out of earth and raised a new people through Moses.  But Moses interceded to God to spare them!

tu see, God’s people in the wilderness, although was out of Egypt, was still full of Eqypt. They just refused to stop their murmurings to Moses. They were a people who do not know the “Ways” of God”. They were referred to as “stiff neck”. How sad!

As taught to us in Romans 8, they were a people who only walked by “Sight”. If they do not see it, they will not believe. So in Psalms 103, we are told that to grow in the knowledge of God, we cannot walk in the flesh. We must walk by faith and not by sight. We must study God’s words, meditate on it every day to strengthen our inner man, and then slowly but surely, God’s ways and His will be revealed. That is why scripture says that in the wilderness, they knew only the “Acts” of God”. They did not know the ways of God. At one time, they even told Moses to ask God not to speak to them direct but only through Moses. Effectively, when rejecting His voice, they rejected God. So let us study to learn to understand God’s ways so that we can receive His Life (Zoe) the God kind of life, a life full of blessings and abundance.

It really pays (as shown in the written scriptures) to spend time with Him to learn His Ways. Above all, learn and be familiar with His gentle prompting and leading through “His still small voice”. Now let’s turn to the verse in 1 King 19 showing us how to keep calm and be still and not panic, no matter what the circumstances may be:-

1 King 19:
“11 And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the LORD. And, behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the LORD; but the LORD was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the LORD was not in the earthquake:
12 And after the earthquake a fire; but the LORD was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.”

Yes let’s learn to recognize and obey “His still small voice” and it, surely we will receive His life!

Amen
Be blessed

The Word Of God

The Word of God

The word of God can be understood in two ways.

The first is “LOGOS” or His written word and or “RHEMA” the spoken word from the sermons we hear or even words we receive during our fellowship with the Holy Spirit.  In other word, the Word of God can be in writing or spoken.

In Strong’s Concordance No 3056, one of the meanings is:-

3056 LOGOS: In John, denotes the essential Word of God, Jesus Christ, the personal wisdom and power in union with God, his minister in creation and government of the universe, the cause of all the world’s life both physical and ethical, which for the procurement of man’s salvation put on human nature in the person of Jesus the Messiah, the second person in the Godhead, and shone forth conspicuously from His words and deeds.

Let’s look at the Logos in Genesis 1:-

“1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.”

In this verse, we see that nothing was created but by the “Word”. We are taught that in the beginning, God gave us the Word! And if you have the Word, you have God. In fact, scripture went on to declare that the Word was God. And the Word is still God in Jesus Christ today.

Now let’s turn to John 1:1-3:

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

Therefore, if we want to grow in the knowledge of God, we need to keep and stay pure and holy in all that we do in our walk with God.  It is so important that we must keep our mind pure, from the negative things in News or TV.  We can try to avoid but believe me, it is very very difficult.  You see, we need to allow the Word to flow freely in our mind and thoughts.  To do that, I make every effort not to read newspapers or watch TV daily as they are filled with so much negative writings and news which would only corrupt our mind and thoughts. You see, I need to stay away from unwholesome things as I write daily “living bread” messages in my forum to bless my readers. But to keep up with the relevant news and updates, I only read the papers on Saturday mornings during breakfast times.  Of course this is my preferred way of dividing my time with God’s word and reading the papers. You may have your way.

Now let’s consider another scripture in Hebrew 11.

Hebrews 11:
“3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.”

Notice it says the worlds were made by things “unseen”.  The verse here is saying that the promises of God can only be “seen” not in the natural but through our “Spiritual Eyes”.  In other word, if you can see it, you will have it! Amen! That’s the principle in the word of God. Often when I pray, the Holy Spirit would give me visions and thoughts. Yes, just like this morning when the Holy woke me up very early to teach and show me what He wanted me to share for this morning’s meditation. You see, I think the Lord want me to share with you forum members how important is His Word to us.  It has great power (the dunamis) for us to stay  on top and never under. Yes we can be above only and not under the circumstances!  His word keeps us strong and healthy.  In Proverbs 4:22 it says it is health to our body.  His word will also give us strength and peace and so much more.  It has unlimited blessings.

So go forth today in the power and might of His Word! We have the Word and the Word Is God!!!
And just to conclude, let me share this thought. Remember that the Word we speak everyday.  It has real creative power of God just as we are shown in Genesis 1. And we therefore need to watch our words when we say things in our daily activities. We must strive to ensure that our words are wholesome and life giving.
Negative and undesired things can be framed by our careless words. We should only call forth words which will edify and bless us.

Amen
Be blessed

Delight In The Lord

Delight In the Lord

Good Morning

I just entered the train and this is what I perceived in my spirit the Holy Spirit wants me to share this morning. Oh mine, How He cares for us, how He loves us!  His eyes are indeed upon members of the Living Bread forum!  So here it is:-

The scripture tells that He has promised to meet our daily need. But here in Psalms 37, we are told He would even want to meet the “desires” of our hearts! Let’s read verse 4:-

Psalms 37:4
“Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.”

There is truth in that we all have kept many desires in our heart and not make known to others. So according to His promise, we should expect Him to carry out His promises to meet our desires and needs. And in Ephesians 1:18 we see more clearly the extent of His wanting to bless us! He says “He will give us the riches of the glory of His inheritance to us.”  So yes as His beloved, we will not suffer any lack at all. Amen!

However notice the word which says “delight”. The first thing we need to do is to love and “delight in the Lord”, and He will surely meet the desires of our heart.

Then how do we delight in Him? How do we please Him? Yes we can read His word, attend Churches, do things pleasing to Him. Be a good testimony in our words and actions, be gentle kind and gracious to others. Stay calm and be at rest. Yes we too can use our gifts and talent for His Glory by serving Him and yes more.. anything that would please Him. Give a track, a Bible.  Above all, be obedient to Him!

When reading the above scripture in Psalms 37:4, we need also to consider verse 3 for its full context:-

37:3 Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.

So we see a 3 step doings to fully understand the scriptures:-

1. We are told to trust God
2. Out of our trust, we would do good to our fellowmen in words and in our deeds
3. Then we are asked to delight in the Lord in verse 4

So in summary, we must always be at peace in our hearts, stay at rest know that His loves us.  And then we can expect to receive and enjoy His tangible Presence through the day as we go about our daily activitie  s.  And this is a very real thing.  Daily, even during the work activities, in my heart, I am always at rest, knowing in my heart that He loves and wants to bless me!  Amen, all Glory to our Lord and Saviour!

Another way to look at it is: we know we are saved by grace, not of work lest we boast, but scripture teaches us that out of our salvation, we will “do” good works.  We must believe in our hearts that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him!  It is always a principle of Faith + Good Works!

We will never want to serve if we do not “Trust” Him.  If we trust, we will do good works by faith. Then we can grow to delight in Him and allow Him to reward us as we seek him diligently.

Yes may He gives you all your desires!
Amen
Be blessed

Hidden In Christ

Hidden In Christ

Good Morning

This is an Amazing written Word of God, which we often fail to meditate!

Colossians 3:3
“For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God”.

Notice that to receive the fulness of this scripture, the key first is to settle in our mind that we are dead in Christ.  It is no longer I that live, but Christ that lives in me, as the hymn tells us! An example is to take a pen and put it in an open Bible and close it.  And there you have it, you are “Hidden in Christ”! Amen, isn’t this a glorious Truth that we are hidden in Christ?  So then whom shall we fear?

In Exodus 33, when Moses asked to see the Glory of God, God had to use His Hand to cover him for He said:-

“No man can see God and live” (33:20).

The scriptures continue:-

“18 And he said, I beseech thee, shew me thy glory.

19 And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the LORD before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy.

20 And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live.”

And Verse 22 reads:-

22 And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by:

Now Brothers and Sisters, go ahead and ask Him to reveal His Truth to you; ask Him to “Cover you with His Hand”, and protect you from all the evil works the enemy have assigned against you.  Experience His Divine Protection!  He loves you and wants to deliver and set you free!

Every night in my quiet time, I always ask the Lord to show me more of His ways. I want to know and experience Him more. We should draw closer and closer to Him by boldly seeking to know Him more intimately! There are so much He can show us, if we are truly seeking His face! He has promised to draw closer to us as we draw closer to Him! He will never disappoint us by allowing us to experience His Presence. His Hand is so much stronger and so much larger to hide and shield us from our enemy!

Amen
Be blessed

Divine Favour

Divine Favour

Good Morning

This is what I am impressed to share this morning. Each morning, as I leave for work, I would pray and seek God’s Divine Favour for the day.

This is one of the blessings given to us as believers and we ought to seek it. Our success for the day in our workplace is so independent on God’s Divine Favour!

Let’s look at some scriptures to see what the written Word of God has to say:-

You will remember how these great men of the Bible (Noah, Moses, Joseph, Job, Jacobs) found favour, both with God and with man.

Here is Proverbs 3:4
“So you will find favor and good repute in the sight of God and man”.

This verse tells us to expect Favour both with God and with man. What a blessings!

Last weekend, I was having dinner at a private estate in Upper Thomson Road. I had parked my car at the usual place by the road side as just other diners did. I dined there regularly for many years. But this time when I returned to my car I found a Ticket Notice for illegal parking. The usual fine is at least $70.00. I knew it was my own fault for breaching the law and was expecting a ticket summons. It is so important not just to simply follow what other is doing. As believers, we are expected to exercise greater moral standard in our words and deeds!

But by the grace of God, His Divine Favour was there to override the offence! Yesterday I received a Notice from Authority (LTA). It says:- “This is a fine of $70.00 for the offence but because of your “good record”, we will waive the fine”!

An offence is an offence and I really do not expect such a treatment from the Police! Yes, surely this is divine intervention from our Great and Mighty God! Praise His Glorious Name!

Another scripture in Psalms 5 says:-

Psalms 5:12
“For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield”

Yes, indeed we have His Robe of Righteousness and through the precious Blood of Jesus!  Many times while travelling in the morning packed train, God’s intervention of Divine Favour was there too to bless. Several times, younger passengers would say: “Sir, take this seat”. When I walk to work, when passing some security officers, I would usually greet them “Good morning” and they usually in return would greet similarly!  It is good to receive such greeting and to have the “Joy of the Lord! early in the morning, isn’t it? Amen. Yes, I even made friend with one of them and gave him Peter a Bible to read. Amen, it is great to witness, even to strangers!  We are told to preach, to witness, in season and out of season!

One time a couple of months ago, I was returning from lunch and was waiting at a traffic light junction when rain started to fall. So I could not cross the road and had to stay in the shade to wait for the rain to stop. Then suddenly a passer-by with an umbrella about to cross, turned back and signaled to me to share the umbrella with him. Amen, this is truly His Divine Favour shining through my day! Could this be an angel?

I also remember another occasion at a hawker stall where the Lord’s divine favour was there  too to bless.  I had bough a cup of drink and was about to pay her, when she said “Uncle, this is free for you! Amen!

You see, when you serve Him with gladness, you can expect to receive His Divine Favour wherever you are! Amen and Amen!

Be blessed

Soaring Like An Eagle

 Soaring Like An Eagle!

This morning I would like to share how to be led by the Spirit, to take a lesson from the “The Way Of An Eagle”. There is much lesson to learn how eagles fly: Soaring like an eagle!

Isaiah 40:31 uses the words “…But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength”. Certainly the scripture is demonstrating to us not to use our strength and sweat unnecessarily. By remaining still and just waiting upon the Lord will allow us to stay strong and at the same time allowing the Lord to renew our strength.

That’s how eagles renew their strength by just soaring instead of using their strength and energy to flap their wings using much energy! They have learned to “Wait” for the right moment to fly. Most believers are impatient and often get discouraged because they simply have not learned to stay still and wait upon the Lord patiently.

Here’s one study on how eagles fly (soar) :-

How do eagles find thermal columns to soar on?

Eagles reduce the energy necessary for flight by bringing their relatively large wings (per body weight) over thermal columns of rising air.
Thermal is warm air that will rise. When present, Eagles will start to fly, and they will glide above the warm air, higher and higher, as they allow the air to lift them higher!

Isaiah 40 clearly reveals one very important spiritual truth. It tells us that even the youth will often be tired and weak. That’s right, using unnecessary strength and energy to do things can tire even a strong young man!

“Isaiah 40:
29 He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.
30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:”

We will not understand verses 29 and 30 if we do not know the way of an eagle – how they soar in the air.

Now let’s read verse 31 and see what it says:-

“31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint”.

So it certainly pays to learn the principle how eagles fly! Waiting upon the Lord is just like an eagle waiting patiently for the right moment to fly and soar high and yet conserving their strength and energy to be used later when they can hunt for their food (animals like foxes and snakes).

In Ephesians 1, we are told that we are seated in the heavenly places, even though our physical body is here on earth! This is again a spiritual truth, that if we walk after the Spirit, this will give us life (ZOE) which include strength. Let’s read:-

“Romans 8:
11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you”.

Yes to soar is to walk and be led by the Spirit 24/7!  “Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God”.  In summary, let’s remember some keys of this spiritual truth:-

  • Do not sweat
  • Wait upon the Lord.
  • Be patient, wait for the thermal air to rise
  • Then soar like an eagle

They that wait upon the Lord will soar up high above every evil work that may be assigned against us!

Amen
Be blessed

The Battle Is The Lord’s

The Battle Is the Lord’s

This morning we look at the scripture on “How to wage a warfare against sins”, often disguised in the form of addictions.

Many believers struggle sometimes for years to battle the addiction of cigarettes.  I was once such a sinner. Even when I was saved, I continued to smoke for a few months until the Lord delivered me.  Just like others, I first waged a warfare against this addiction by my own strength and mind.  I thought if I slowly reduced the smoking, I would soon quit.  It was not to be.  When I smoked less for a day of two, the next day my urge would be unbearable and I would go on to even smoke more to make up for this urge.

Just like what the Bible teaches, we have often to wait upon the Lord to allow Him to lead and show us how to win the battle.  Esther too had a huge battle to fight but her uncle told her that unless she gathered boldness to seek help from the King, all the Jews would be killed and totally wiped out.  So she agreed to pray and fast to gather the strength and boldness to approach the King.  Likewise David waited upon the Lord to wage a warfare against Goliath and the Lord taught him how.  Let’s read this great scripture “The battle belongs to the Lord in:-

“1 Samuel 17:
47 And all this assembly shall know that the LORD saveth not with sword and spear: for the battle is the LORD’S, and he will give you into our hands”.

This promise is repeated in the Old Testament whenever the appointed kings needed help from God. Another scripture in Proverbs 21 says the same thing:-

“Proverbs 21:
30 There is no wisdom nor understanding nor counsel against the LORD.
31 The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the LORD”.

And so we learn a lesson here that no strength, wisdom or power of ours can give us the victory over our weakness.  We have to submit to the Lord and know that the battle is His and not ours

Amen
Be blessed

Seek Me Earnestly

Good Morning

Seek Me Earnestly!

Got up early this morning to fellowship with the Lord.

Today the Lord is asking you to seek Him earnestly.  If you seek Him diligently more and more, He will reward you richly according to scriptures.

You know there are levels of drawing close to Him.  Each level, you will understand and know Him more and more.

Level 1 Prayer – You approach Him with repentance and holiness.
Level 2 Prayer – You want to draw closer to know more truths from Him.
Level 3 Prayer – You submit and surrender all to Him

What do I means?  Let’s start to consider His written words in Proverbs 8:17:

” I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.”

He promises to shower His love to you if you seek Him earnestly.  If you enter through this gate, He will show you His unconditional agape love and reveal to you according to scripture “how precious you are in  my sight.  Since you are precious and honored in my sight, and because I love you…” (Isaiah 43:4).

You see as we go to Him, we need to go through many gates and doors.  In the Tabernacle of Moses, God instructed him to take of the “freewill” offerings from the Israelites to build the tabernacle for His dwelling among them. There are 3 doors to God’s dwelling. You see, God loves to be with you and me.  So, will you go to Him?  If you seek Him, you will find Him, otherwise He is lost to those who seek only after worldly things!

We need to enter His gates with thanksgivings as is written in Psalms.  Let’s do a short walk through the various chambers of the Tabernacle:-

Level 1 – His Outer Court

Oh, as you pass through this gate, the first thing we see is the Brazen Alter of Sacrifice. We are awed by His Sacrifice as a lamb on the brazen altar. We see Him paying the price to sacrifice Himself for our sins. At the altar we take the blood from the bullock and apply it over ourselves for sanctification and redemption. Then at the laver, we take of the pure clean water for our cleansing from the dust of the world.

Level 2 – His Holy Place

We now proceed into His Holy Place where His Presence is even “Greater”. Here believers under such presence will grow even stronger in their faith journey to serve God. We want to tarry here and wait upon the Lord. Here is where we made a firm commitment to serve the Lord. Here is where we are empowered to serve. Yes you pray longer to be filled with His oil to keep your light shinning! We are representative of Christ as the “Light” to the world.  Here our spiritual eyes are open to see the things of God –  how and where we can fit into the various ministries as servants in His service. The candlestick needs to be lighted 24/7.

Then you approach the Table of Showbread (12 loaves) for your spiritual feeding.  Here is the fresh living bread which will give you His revelational truth, so important if we are to do His will.  And you are set free from every bondage for each truth that is revealed.  Sometimes at level 2, after praying longer, our body may want to rest and go to sleep. Here’s where we need to take a firm decision to tarry on because we need Him to be strong. We need the “strong” meat by partaking of the bread!  Then just before we enter through the 3rd door, the Veil, we lift up our tired hands and start to praise and worship Him for who He is and what He has done for us! Yes, Hallelujah, He deserves all the Glory!

Level 3 – Most Holy Place

In John 14:6, “Jesus said “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me”.  We anxiously await to enter the Most Holy Place and find His Life.  We have found the way and the Truth!  Now we have broken and gone through the 2 doors which can be barriers that are often hindrances to our growth.  We now have a “breakthrough” and “breakout” into the Most Holy Place where God’s best is awaiting us.  Look at verse 34:

“Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors.”

Wow, wow, wow!

Yes, He beckons us to enter…and there is even more…in verse 35:

“For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the LORD.”

Do you see it?  We now can have His life and His favour!  And as we go through the 3rd door, the veil, we enter His Presence and see the “Jesus in all His beauty and holiness.”  He is more precious than silver and gold.  He is the desired of “Ten Thousands”.  We remember His blood.  We sprinkle the blood again, this time 7 times over for its perfect sacrifice!  Here you find His resurrected life, the “Dunamis” power that raised us up from the dead, from failure to success, from poverty to prosperity, from weakness to strength, from sickness to health and on and on… Then we begin to sense His Holiness. We see ourselves unworthy, filthy as rags, always ready to sin in words and deeds and we again seek His forgiveness.  We remember and are conscious of the power of the blood for cleansing, sprinkled 7 times over for total forgiveness.  We no longer has any condemnation!

Yes are clothed with His “Robe of Righteousness!”  And this is a gift, not of our works.  And therefore we dare say, “In Christ I can do all things”!  Amen and Amen – All Praise and Glory to the Name that is above every name! (Philippians 2)

We draw closer towards the Ark!  Now between the 2 cherubbims above the Mercy Seat, you meet Him, the Lord of lords and King of kings!  You again remind yourself of the purity of the Blood on the mercy seat. There beneath the mercy seat, you will find the “Pot of Manna” and that’s when you partake of the life-giving manna, the Zoe kind of life. We will no longer hunger and thirst for the things of the world but only wanting to draw even closer and closer to Him.  We want Him and Him only. He is God and none else.

And as we tarry in His presence, His Glory comes on us!  And the Good Shepherd begins to teach and instruct us every-time we have a need or need a word.

This is so Awesome, isn’t it?  We are ever so grateful to Him!  Can you take a moment and give Him all your Praise…!  Will you therefore take a bold step forward to seek Him more and more and let Him lead you into everlasting life? Tonight, seek Him with all your strength and might, draw closer to Him, let His Glory “overshadow” you as you abide in this “SECRET PLACE”.

Amen
Be bless

FAITH TO RECEIVE

FAITH TO RECEIVE

Good Morning

The Word of God stands forever according to the Psalmist.

In Galatians 3, we are told to walk by faith “11…The just shall live by faith”.  Yet we sometime live as if faith has not yet come.  In the great chapter on “Faith” in Hebrews 11, every saint of old received or simply believed the promise that had been made by faith.

We ought to do likewise and much much more as we are living as “New Testament” believers! Amen.

Let’s meditate on some scriptures how to “walk by faith”.

We know that every work of God and every miracle is received by faith and faith alone because “faith has already come”.  Unlike in the Old Testament they all needed to obey to receive the blessings lest the curses would be incurred on them by their disobedience.  And they all learned faith from father “Abraham, Isaac and Jacob” that in Abraham all nations shall be blessed!

Galatians 3:
“23 But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.  24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith”.

Now notice what verse 25 says:-

“25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster”.

We are told that “Faith” has come. Yes we must therefore walk by faith to believe that in every prayer that has been made, they will be answered!  Our part is to believe by faith and God’s part is to deliver the miracle of answering our prayers if made in faith.  Like they said “If we are in doubt, we will be without”.

Having made the prayer in faith, we next have to hold fast our confession of faith (Hebrews 4:14…”let us hold fast our confession or profession”).  As written in this scripture, we do this by confession.  No murmuring or complaining, we simply speak because we believe.  And this teaching is from the Apostle Paul himself as set out in the scripture below:-

2 Corinthians 4:
“13 We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;”  (Paul quoted what David said in Psalms 116).

So today the Lord is saying:-

Walk by faith
And because we believe, we therefore confess to possess.

Amen
Be blessed.

The New Man

The New Man

Good Morning

This morning we take a look at why we are now called a “New Man” in Ephesians 2:15.

“Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace”

You see this new man comes after the completion of work in His Resurrection to make us a new creation, according to another scripture in:-

2 Corinthians 5:17
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”all

The old man has died and all our unrighteous acts were buried with Him through His death, once and for all. And as believers, we identify with His death through our water baptism.

I was baptized in the open sea during a church camp at a sea resort by my Pastor. I remember the wonderful experience I had when I rose from the water to an open heaven. The sky above me was so bright and brilliant, as though heaven was open. I felt clean like the above scripture says, a completely “New Man”. After this water baptism, old things really began to disappear, one by one, as I grew in the experience of the new creation. One of the memorable one is the deliverance from my cigarette addition, which I have posted. As a new creation, I began to desire holiness and to avoid unholy activities and all this deliverance came though the mercy and grace of our Lord and the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit in us.

The New Man – It is amazing how the words “Christ Jesus” speaking of the “The New Man” rather than “Jesus Christ” have been repeatedly quoted by Paul in his writings in this two great chapters, Roman 8 and Ephesians 2.  The contents are so rich and powerful. This is one of the mysteries of the Gospel taught to Paul and we may never know them all. Peter once stated that Paul’s writings were very difficult to understand. Paul truly received much revelation from the Lord Himself. I think Paul wanted us to know as much as we can our true identity “In Christ”.

Paul wanted us to know that in “The New Man”, we are seated in the “Heavenly Places” together with Him. In “The New Man”, we have been blessed with “All Spiritual Blessings”.  In “The New Man”, we have been given His “Glorious  Inheritance”. And the list goes on and on…to reveal to us the “Abundant Life” we have “In Christ” Jesus. Amen.

Here’s a verse I am led to share for your meditation today:

1 Corinthians 1:
“30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:”

Do you see the awesomeness of this scripture?

It reveals to us that in Him or “In Christ”, we have His:-

1. Wisdom
2. Righteousness
3. Sanctification
4. Redemption!

In wisdom we know that it is the heavenly wisdom above, not earthly wisdom which can lead to death. His wisdom always lead to life and life more abundantly.

In righteousness, Isaiah taught that we must be established in it to lead a victorious life (see the underline emphasis below), a life free from any condemnation.

Isaiah 54:14
“In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee.”

And it is through His blood that we have been declared righteous!

And in Redemption, yes He has redeemed us through His Precious Blood, even the forgiveness of sins (Ephesians 1:7)

So meditate this weekend the words “Christ Jesus”. Remember, the key word is that we are “In Christ” through and by His Precious Blood shed for us

And here is an important note I wish to emphasize. Use a King James Version Bible, the Bible used by the great evangelist Billy Graham and many other great missionaries who travelled to the utter parts of the world to preach the Gospel. They all used King James Bibles. Modern versions have contained too many changes, removing many words and scriptures from King James Bible.

Amen
Be blessed
Have a great & blessed weekend

Word of Life

Good Morning

Word of Life

Let’s meditate on the “Word of Life” this morning.

We find this verse in 2 places in the scriptures:-

“Philippians 2:
16 Holding forth the “word of life”; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.”

In this chapter Paul taught us what it meant to “hold forth” the word of life. That we are to serve God in all sincerity and without complaining or murmuring.

“1 John 1:
1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life”

In this scripture, notice that we are taught to use our spiritual ears and eyes  to “hear” and “see”.  And by faith, we must learn to press in and “touch” Him!

As we pray and seek Him everyday, He will not fail to speak to lead and guide us. He too will give us the “vision” to show us how we are to serve Him.

And as we read, study and meditate on the word of life daily, we can experience His power upon us. Yes, through the might and power of His Name, His word and His Blood!

Today the Lord wants us to hold forth His word.

Notice that we are not expounding on the “Word of God”.which is different. The Word of God has to do with His whole written word in the Bible.  But the Word of Life is His word that tells us what He has given us in the form of “Zoe” life.  This word is used in John 10:10

“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have “life”, and that they might have it more abundantly”

This word “Word” in Greek stands for Logos
and “Life” stands for ZOE

Today, the Lord wants us to focus on His ZOE life!  and in Greek it means:-

“the absolute fulness of life, both essential and ethical, which belongs to God,
a life active and vigorous, devoted to God, blessed, in the portion even in this world of those who put their trust in Christ”

Simply put, what and which area of His word are you seeking today?  Whether it is Peace or Joy or Health or Strength or Wealth, it is all in the all encompassing word “ZOE” life.  Yes, we can have the abundant life, the God kind of life, the absolute fulness of life, an active and vigorous life!

Just ask and receive,
Seek and you shall find,
Boldly knock and the door will be opened for you to enter to find your pasture!

Amen
Be blessed

Protection Grace Peace

Protection Grace Peace (The Priestly Blessing)

Good Morning

This morning I want to share on the importance of one aspect as to how believers should pray according to what is written in the scripture.  James taught that many times, we fail to receive because we do not know the way to pray.  Today, I will share a powerful scripture on prayer the Lord taught me sometime ago.  This is found in the book of Job.

We need His Protection, Grace and Peace everyday just as we need our food.  We should therefore pray  asking, seeking and knocking on His door everyday as the Lord has taught us in Matthew 7.

Asking, Seeking, Knocking

“7 “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? 11 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!”  Another scripture says that “We have not because we ask not”!

One powerful way of asking is to “decree” and command God’s blessing upon us and our family. This is a very powerful pronouncement made by Kings and Priests and should be memorized and meditated upon:-

Job 22:28

Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.”

You may say “what about me, I am neither a King or Priest?”  But what does the Bible says about Kings and Priests.  Let’s read Revelation 5:10 and see for ourselves what the scripture teaches.

And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.”

Wow, it says we have been made kings and priests (small letters) and we have been made to also “Reign”.  Amazing, isn’t it, this word “Reign” is mean for a king to rule over his subjects.  We thank God that every believer in Jesus has been washed by His Blood we all are qualified to reign as kings and priests.  We are therefore qualified to “decree” a blessing over us and family. Amen.

And as priests we are empowered to pronounce ” the Priestly Blessing” upon our family just as God asked the Priests in Numbers 6 to pronounce the blessing of protection, grace and and peace upon the children of Israel.

Let’s read the blessings we can use to pray for ourselves in Numbers 6:

“24 The LORD bless thee, and keep thee:
25 The LORD make his face shine upon thee,
and be gracious unto thee:
26 The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee,
and give thee peace.”

So remember to command this blessing upon your family each and everyday  and begin to see the Power of His Protection, His Grace and His Peace prevail in whatever we say or do for the day!

Amen
Be blessed

Spirit And Life – Part 2

Good Morning

My Words Are Spirit And Life!

As promised here is part 2 of the earlier message on “My Words Are Spirit And Life”

“John 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.”

In the scripture above, we are told that it is the spirit that will give life.  And it goes on to say that His “words” are both spirit and life.

We learned in Part 1 of the message that the word “spirit” in Greek is “PNEUMA” translated to be both “life giving” and “having the spiritual nature of Christ.”

So we can say that His words have the power to give life to the thing and / or situation we send to, bringing to it a certain result or outcome intended. The words will bring life to a dead situation. They will give life and add strength to weakness.  They will prosper and bring success to our work or business.  Furthermore, the words will enable us to grow and be transformed into the image of Christ.

The second thing it says about His words is that the words are also “life”. In Greek, this is translated as “ZOE”, that is to say, the God kind of life, the all encompassing meaning includes:-

(1) Life containing the absolute “fulness” of God’s life and
(2) A life that is “active and vigorous”, devoted to God, blessed, in the portion even in this world of those who put their trust in Christ, but after the resurrection to be consummated by new accessions (among them a more perfect body), and to last for ever

The full impact of the meaning can be clearly found in Isaiah 55:11:-

“So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall “accomplish” that which I please, and it shall “prosper” in the thing whereto I sent it.”

So the application is that the words we speak will “accomplish” what we want it to be and the words too will prosper or make success of what has been intended by us as we daily decree and command the blessings over our lives.

In the powerful story of the “Centurion” as told in Matthew 8, we see the power of the words in operation when we have “Faith” in God’s words.  Imagine, our Lord Jesus Himself marvelled at the words spoken in verse 8 by the Centurion!

Matthew 8:
5 And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a centurion, beseeching him,
6 And saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented.
7 And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him.
8 The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but “speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.”
9 For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.
10 When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.

So here is an important lesson we can learn, that is to say, when we pray, we must put our faith active and in operation. Therefore it will profit us to read, study and meditate on God’s words on a daily basis and just like taking breakfast, lunch and dinner, we ought to do the same with His words. Then we start to see the “power” that worketh in us so powerfully expounded in Ephesians 3:20

Amen
Be blessed

The Love of God

Good Morning

I had barely slept, after my nightly devotion and prayer, when the Lord woke me up early in the morning at 4 and showered me with His presence.

And He flashed in my mind Romans 8 repeatedly as to how much He loves us.  His “still small voice” was ringing in my spirit over and over on His “Love” for us.  It was so awesome!  And as is usual I know the word for you and me today is to delve in His love!

You have to read verse 37 to 38 to be persuaded how much He really loves us!

“37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. 38 For ‘I am persuaded’, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the “love of God”, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Yes Paul was persuaded and we too should likewise be convinced.  Once we are persuaded, it is amazing how fast His joy and then strength comes upon us.  Yes the “joy of the Lord is our strength”.

Now consider verse 16 to 17:-

“16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.”

Do you see how much He loves us?

He adopted you and me (once sinners and enemies of God) and called us His children?

And He left His inheritance to us His children and made us joint heirs with Christ, wow!

Now read the lyrics in this hymn “The love of God”.

The love of God is greater far
Than tongue or pen can ever tell;
It goes beyond the highest star,
And reaches to the lowest hell;
The guilty pair, bowed down with care,
God gave His Son to win;
His erring child He reconciled,
And pardoned from his sin.
Refrain:
Oh, love of God, how rich and pure!
How measureless and strong!
It shall forevermore endure—
The saints’ and angels’ song.
When hoary time shall pass away,
And earthly thrones and kingdoms fall,
When men who here refuse to pray,
On rocks and hills and mountains call,
God’s love so sure, shall still endure,
All measureless and strong;
Redeeming grace to Adam’s race—
The saints’ and angels’ song.
Could we with ink the ocean fill,
And were the skies of parchment made,
Were every stalk on earth a quill,
And every man a scribe by trade;
To write the love of God above
Would drain the ocean dry;
Nor could the scroll contain the whole,
Though stretched from sky to sky.

Spirit And Life – Part 1

Jesus said in John 6:63 “My words are spirit and life”.

Good Morning

Spirit And Life

This morning, let’s look a little deeper into the meaning of “Spirt And Life” in the scripture below:-

“John 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.”

Let’s examine a little closer as to what the 2 words actually mean in Greek.  First the word “spirit” in Greek is PNEUMA (4151).  It means

1. Life giving
2. Spiritual nature of Christ
3. Holy Spirit
4. Current of air

In the context of the verse, we consider the meaning in (1) Life giving and (2) The spiritual nature of Christ.

Life Giving – His words are life giving.  In other word, they have the spiritual power to give “life” (as opposed to death)!  Do you realize that  words spoken in our daily conversation that are not God’s words are often not life giving.  Worst still, spoken negatively can weaken us in many ways.  In Luke 4:4 Jesus said that “That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.”

This is even made much clearer by King Solomon in Proverbs 6:2 “Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken with the words of thy mouth.”

So we should always be mindful to use words that will add life to whatever we do or say.  Words that encourage and bring comfort rather than speaking negatively to each other.

Spiritual Nature Of Christ

If we spend quality time to read, study and meditate on the word of God, we will grow spiritually in strength and stature.  That is why Paul taught us to allow the words to change and transform our life.  Oh yes we ought to grow to have the mind of Christ. The words will enable us to conform to His nature, whether in deeds or actions!

Isn’t this powerful just to know and understand what the word “spirit” mean?

In Part 2, we will look at the Greek word “Life” and its meaning and how it will affect our daily living.

Amen
Be blessed

Who We Are “In Christ”

Good Morning

Who We Are In Christ!

Yesterday we meditated on the word that we are a new creation “In Christ”.

Knowing “Who We Are” as believers is therefore of paramount importance as to how we live, and move, and have our being as declared in “Acts 17:28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.”

This morning let’s look at a few scriptures testifying to who we are in Christ, that is that we are called  “sons of God” :-

“1 John 3:1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God.”

And in verse 2 “Beloved, now are we the sons of God“.

And in Romans 8: “14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God...”

Wow, can you now see what the scriptures say who we are?  And we have to believe to receive our inheritance as “sons”.  Amen!

But you may say how do we know that we are truly the children of God?  Read on in verse 16 below:-

“16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the “children of God:”

Oh yes the Holy Spirit that lives in you will bear witness with your spirit! That is why as a “new creation” we always have this …oomp...in us, the confidence that we are different!  Amen.

Now read verse 17 to see what we have and what we possess as sons!

“17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and “joint-heirs” with Christ..”

He deserves a shout of our Praise to declare us not only as His children but yes we are called to be “joint-heirs” with Jesus Christ, His Son. Can you say a loud loud  Amen and say to yourself “I believe it and I receive it”.

Oh that is not all, do you know what is meant by being “joint-heirs” with Jesus, His Son ?  This word is a legal term meaning that when one party dies, the surviving party will inherit all His properties and assets, not just a share or part of it.  Yes His Inheritance for us!

This is exactly what we inherit when our Lord Jesus died on Calvary and left us His will (testament) sealed not in red ink in legal document but with His Precious Blood!  And He rose and live to see to it that the Will is executed to us.  That is the reason for the scripture written to say “He became poor to make us rich”.

And so we can say in confidence that we lack in no good things!

Amen
Be blessed

Is He Worthy of That Name

Jesus of Nazareth!

Is he worthy of that Name? This morning, let’s look at how our Lord and Saviour was given the Name of Jesus by His Father. There is no greater name than the Name of Jesus so declared the Bible!  Look at the book of Ephesians and consider the scriptures in Chapter 1:19-21 how Jesus was raised from the dead and was made to be seated on the right side of God’s Throne:-

19  And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, 20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,

Here the Bible says Jesus was raised by the Power of God, Creator of Heaven and Earth.  Read on…

21 Far above all “principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come”: 22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,

And He is not only seated on the right side of God’s Throne but was raised to be “Above” all else, all principality, and power, and might, and dominion.  And much much more, it says further that He is above all things “in this world” and “in the world to come!”  Can you take it, can you believe it? It is so Glorious and Awesome to be entitled as believers to use the Name of Jesus! There is nothing that is greater or higher than the Name of Jesus. That means if you have Jesus in your life, and the Bible says because you are in Him, you too are above all else. No wonder, the Bible elsewhere declares in Romans 8:37 that we are made “more than conquerors.”  Surely, He deserves a shout of our Praise! Amen.

His Name is Healing

Read 1 Peter 2:24:-

“24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: ‘by whose stripes ye were healed’ “.

Can you see what Apostle Peter said in these 3 words  “Ye WERE healed”.  Is it present, future or past?  It says clearly that we “were” healed.  And when was that? It was about 2000 years ago when He laid up His life on the Cross.  In other word, Jesus died not only for your sins but He also took upon Himself all our sickness and disease. That is why Peter said “We have been healed”!

So if you have a situation, a condition, a sickness or a disease, just declare “I have been healed” and by faith believe and receive your healing! Amen. Let’s read the scripture below and see for yourself how a cripple was made whole.

“Acts 4:10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of “Jesus Christ of Nazareth”, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.”

If you have received Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, you can pray to receive your healing. You need not suffer any sickness or disease!  And this is true.  You can read from the many testimonies I posted to show you how I received my healing and continue to stay healthy for the last 29 years!  So give it a try, pray to receive Him your Lord and Saviour and you will experience a new life free from stress, sickness and disease. Read another of my posting entitled “Your Healing Is Guaranteed”.  I did not write this because I read it in the Bible.  I have practiced what has been taught in the Bible and experience His healing to be able to declare that His Word is true!  Thank you Jesus, You are my Healer!  Amen.

His Name is Salvation

Once each of us called upon that Name and were saved!  The Bible here declares that we can be saved from condemnation by using that Name, Jesus of Nazareth!  I am so grateful for that Mighty Name that has saved me.

“12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”

In another scripture, in John 14:6, we read that “He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life” and no man can enter the Kingdom to God the Father except through Him.

If you have not yet received Jesus, you can now call upon His Name and be saved!  You can read the posting “I Prayed for a Catholic Nun” and find the details how you can to pray to receive Jesus as Lord and Saviour and be born again!

His Name is Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides all our needs

And we can go on and on to declare Him as our Healer, our Saviour, our Bread of Life, the Light of the Word, the Prince of Peace, the Bright and Morning Star, the Rose of Sharon but the greatest of all Names in the Old Testament  was the Name  “I AM THAT I AM” (Exodus 3:14).  In the book of John, we find the 7 “I AM” statements as follows:-

1) John 6:48 I am that bread of life.

2) John 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
3) John 10:9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.
4) John 10:11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.
5) John 11:25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:
6) John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
7) John 15:1 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.

This morning, let’s meditate on how that Name was bestowed on Him:

“Philippians 2:5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and “given him a name which is above every name”:
10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

What an Awesome and Mighty Name!  But verse 8 is the key:-

“8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.”

As a “man” our Lord was always humble and meek.  Often he was despised and humiliated.  The book of Isaiah 53 described of Him in details as a man:-

“Isaiah 53:7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.”

Then the Bible says He gave up His life voluntarily.  No one took His life.  Then another great thing He did.  He was one always obedient to what the Father asked Him to do! He completed His assignment to endure all the suffering and humiliation, even unto His death on the Cross for you and me.  Amen.

That is our Master, JESUS OF NAZARETH, the KING of kings  the LORD of Lords!

Amen and so let’s emulate to have the “MIND OF CHRIST”.

Amen
Be blessed

Joshua – Part 1

Joshua – Possessing the Promised Land!

Look at this powerful prayer by Joshua, the man chosen, yes chosen because he loved and believed God:-

“Joshua 10:
12 Then spake Joshua to the LORD in the day when the LORD delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, Sun, stand thou still upon Gibeon; and thou, Moon, in the valley of Ajalon.
13 And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day.
14 And there was no day like that before it or after it, that the LORD hearkened unto the voice of a man: for the LORD fought for Israel.”

Look at verse 14, no one before or after had received such an answer to such a Prayer, where God stopped time for a whole day in order for Joshua to complete the task at hand – a victory to be won!

I believe all believers through our Lord Jesus too can believe and trust Him to calm every storm or turmoil of life.

Now when Joshua had accomplished what he set out to do, look at what Joshua said to God’s people under his leadership:-

“Joshua 24:8-11

But cleave unto the LORD your God, as ye have done unto this day.
9 For the LORD hath driven out from before you great nations and strong: but as for you, no man hath been able to stand before you unto this day.
10 One man of you shall chase a thousand: for the LORD your God, he it is that fighteth for you, as he hath promised you.
11 Take good heed therefore unto yourselves, that ye love the LORD your God.”

Here we see God fought their battles and gave them victory.  God gave to them such “strength” and “power” enough for “one man to chase a thousand”

He is truly a Great and Almighty God !  And we know that their success in staying true and obedient to God was all due to their leader Joshua, a faithful, strong, dependable leader, one called and chosen by God to succeed Moses. This is one good lesson we can learn if we want to grow to be strong and courageious like Joshua in our calling and service to God.

Do you have such a leader to guide and lead you?

Now read verse 14 below:-

“14 And, behold, this day I am going the way of all the earth: and ye know in all your hearts and in all your souls, that not one thing hath failed of all the good things which the LORD your God spake concerning you; all are come to pass unto you, and not one thing hath failed thereof.”

God answered every of His promise to them.  If God can do that for them, God too can likewise do that for you!  You will see that our grow and faith is so dependable upon a good leader appointed to be our shepherd.

And the key to unlock our inheritance?

Joshua 1:6-9

1. Be very strong
2. Be very courageous
3. Have a strong Leader to guide

David – Part 3

David

He was anointed 3 times!

Good Morning

Last Friday I said I would share with you a message I received that morning out of the meditation on the 2 books of Samuel.  In fact there are so many messages revealed in the study of this 2 books, some of which I have already shared some of them on the life of David and Saul, both chosen as king, but only one fulfilling his calling and destiny!  Last week during our lunchtime Bible class a member shared that the study of the Samuel was encouraging and very enriching.  I encourage you to read and meditate on it.

So here it is. This is on the subject of Authority.

David Grew in Authority

As you would have noticed, David as a youth started out as a shepherd. And this was not out of choice. His father Jesse chose him to tend sheep over his other favourite sons! At that time in Israel, the occupation of tending to sheep was not the preferred occupation, although the men then including women were mostly shepherds. Yet David did not object. He simply obeyed and worked diligently to look after the sheep. And he benefitted from his caring for the sheep entrusted to him.  We see his devotion to not only caring and loving the sheep but he grew in his love for God.  Let’s see some of the things he did during his career as a shepherd:-

1. He became a worshipper of God!.
2. He invented instruments for worship (We read in Psalms how he worshipped God with all kinds of instruments). We now benefit from him the importance of using instruments and music to accompany our worship and fellowship with God.
3. He spent quality time and worshipped God with all his might, spirit soul and body.  He fellowshipped with God like his friend.
4. Out of his daily time alone with God, he drew closer and closer to God and learned His ways. The Bible teaches us in the Sermons of the Mount that when you seek Him, you will find Him. When you are hungry, you will be filled!  And David was a man always hungry for more!
5. Overtime he developed such a relationship with God and earned the title to be called a man after God’s own heart. Look at the many great Pslams he wrote!

David was faithful in taking care of the sheep under his care. And all this strength of God he obtained through his devotion, worship and fellowship with God.  During such times, he was always enjoying the Presence of God.  God delighted and rewarded him.  He grew stronger and stronger and the anointing on him caused him eventually to become a great, powerful warrior and leader.  Serving as a shepherd, he was diligent and caring.  He only had the herd of sheep with him and there was no one around to supervise him.  Yet he remained faithful and deligent and responsible taking care of the sheep to feed and to protect them.  As a model leader, we can too learn to be faithful, diligent and responsible serving God.

David’s First Anointing

God saw his heart and his faithfulness serving as a shepherd and decided to make him king to replace the unfaithful Saul. Prophet Samuel was asked to seek out David from among the sons of Jesse. That was his “First” anointing and he went on in such power and authority to slay Goliath.  Can you remember your work serving God.  When you are humble and obedient, God will anoint you for service and you will never burn out!

David’s Second Anointing

David continued to serve faithfully under King Saul despite Saul’s hatred of him.  Eventually, God decided to make him king after the death of King Saul. The people of Judah saw his love for God and trusted him to be their king and anointed him. This was his “second” anointing. When we remain faithful, God will in due season promote and reward us with greater anointing and His gifts!

David’s Third Anointing

As he continued to show his capability to lead the people of Judah to many victories over the enemies, he again got a promotion from God. The people under him saw his faithfullness, particular how he honoured his own leader and king.  He never once threatened Saul even though he had many opportunities to kill Saul.  He always said “How can I touch anyone who is anointied by God”.  He taught us to honour men and women of God. The other 11 tribes of Israel (through Abner, their leader) were moved by God to elect David and anointed as their king. This was his third anointing and David was made to rule over all of Judah and the other 11 northern tribes of Israel.
Do you see how David grew and was promoted by God?  Let’s review how he served in 3 different capacities:-

  1. First anointing as a shepherd
  2. Second anointing, then as a king over one tribe Judah
  3. Third anointing, as King over all 12 tribes over Israel and Judah!

The lessons he acquired as a shepherd moulded him to be a good leader. Here’s some key points worth noting:-

  • The sheep under his care has no lack at all
  • When hungry, he would bring them to green pastures to feed
  • When thirsty and dry, he would lead them to still fresh waters. They were still small streams or pools of water beside torrent of waters flowing down rivers. You see sheep are easily frightened! They prefer calm water
  • When a sheep strayed from the flock, he would carry them back. he would used his staff to beat or chase away wolves! And calmed the sheep
  • He always led them in the path of safety, away from valleys of dangers like steep slopes or ravins to keep them from falling
  • When their heads and body are dry under the heat of the day with flies hovering over them, David would anoint them with lot of oil to keep them their skin from getting dry under the hot sun, as well as to keep insects and flies away
  • Often they ate in green pastures in the presence of wolves, bears , lion, without any fear as David was watching over them. They had seen David killing bears and lions which tried to attack them!

And so we as born again believers can learn from David how to grow strong and allow God to promote and anoint us.  With each anoiting, we too can grow in power and authority.  It is important that our service must be accepted by God.  And if we are faithful in little things, God will trust us in bigger things. In His appointed time, He will promote us.  We must be patient in our service for God.

We too see in the Psalms he wrote, how much He knew God.  And he was truly a student of the scriptures which he meditated day and night!  For our growth, we too must also strive to grow in the knowledge of God through His word to know who God is and who we are in Christ.  Knowing Him intimately and His ways, His grace and truth will allow us to stand strong and “enforce our victory through the exercising of our Authority in Christ”.

Now refer to Hosea 4 below:

“Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children”

With knowledge of His word, we can use the Authority given us through the Name of Jesus confidently.

“Luke 10:19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”

Read also Philippians 2:8-9 on the power and authority of the Mighty Name of Jesus. How that Name was bestowed on Him!

With this I will next share on the next topic on Father Abraham.

Amen
Be blessed

RAMAH – A Place of Refuge

RAMAH!

In June 2014 I share this message “RAMAH – A Place of Refuge” at the CFM lunchtime meeting. Many came to give their support. It was nice also to see my daughter in law Kerri present at the meeting. Here’s the summary.

Good Morning

Thank you all for coming to support me yesterday.  By your presence you have greatly encouraged me.  But let it be known that we are all a part of the Body.  We need to and should continue to keep in fellowship to encourage and stir up one another to grow in strength to finish the race we have been assigned with.

Here’s the 3 main topics that were shared:- Continue reading

Grace and Truth – Part 1

Good Morning

Let’s meditate on this great scripture below:

“For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ” (John 1:17 KJV)

Over the weekend, the Lord reminded me twice to study and write on this scripture in the Living Bread.  While I have not yet fully completed my study and meditation, I do not wish to linger but to quickly start to post the first part of what I believe would lead to several parts of my sharing.  It is such an awesome statement made by by Lord Himself and we can learn so much from His teaching.

I will therefore share only what I understand so far.  So here is Part 1. Continue reading

To begin, you will notice from the scripture text that there is a vast contrast between the Old and the New Testaments.

OT – Law

NT – Grace

Paul taught us that law will lead to death but grace will give us life.  In fact, he said “work” is the curse of the law:-

“Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree” – Galatians 3:13 (KJV)

But thanks be to God that Christ has redeemed us from all the works we try to do to receive His righteousness.

In Ephesians 2:8-9, it is clearly taught we are saved by Grace!

“8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9  Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

We thank God that we can be “perfected” by recognizing how depraved and worthless we were as sinners.   In fact, if anyone has achieved anything it was Paul.  He call his achievement “dung”!

He also encouraged us to “glory in our weakness” so that “Grace” can be made perfect!

Let’s see what he said in:-

“2 Corinthians 12:9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”

Yes let’s accept our own weakness and as we do that let His grace be made perfect in our life that

The “Power of Christ” may rest upon us even as we continue our walk of faith!

Amen
Be blessed

Our Healing Is Guaranteed

Good Evening

Let’s discuss on “The Power Of the Blood of Jesus”

Through His Precious Blood revealed in His Word, our Healing Is GUARANTEED!

If you are saved and Jesus is your Lord, you are therefore healed. You have been redeemed from all curses by the Precious Blood of Jesus. You are free and you can be “if you know this Truth -John 8:32 (Read scripture below).

“John 8:31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”.

In verse 31, we are asked to continue in His word.  That means we have to continue to meditate on the word of truth until faith comes in order to appropriate the blessing.  Faith cometh by hearing (Romans 10:17), and we need to confess the word to possess as has been taught in Romans 10:-

“8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, “the word of faith”, which we preach;
9 That if thou shalt “confess with thy mouth” the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”

Verse 32 says that when “Truth” comes, we will be set free.  The problem with many who have failed to appropriate the provision of His healing is that they have not been told the truth of God’s word on healing.

The Bible teaches that we are “Redeemed from the Curse of the Law” and the curse includes all “sickness and disease”.  They are found and named in Deuteronomy 28:15-68. Read them for yourself. But notice verse 61:-

“61 Also every sickness, and every plague, which is not written in the book of this law, them will the LORD bring upon thee, until thou be destroyed.”

Do you see it?  It says it includes every sickness and every plague which is not written in the Bible, meaning they have yet to be discovered!

But thanks be to our Lord Jesus Christ, the truth is that He has already redeemed us from the curse of the law including “every sickness and disease”.  Let’s read Galatians 3:13-14:-

“13 Christ hath “redeemed us from the curse of the law”, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.”

Our Redemption from sins, sickness and disease, is complete.  Our Lord said “It is finished”.  If He declared it, we cannot believe anything less but to believe Him with our whole heart.  Our faith must not be mixed with teachings of “Unbelief”.

And if this is the truth and it is the Word of God, we should believe and receive it!  We should grab hold of the truth, confess and possess our healing for it is our “Inheritance” so clearly stated in Ephesians 1.

So if you have a headache, a fever, a cold, a flu, a headache, a growth or any other disease (all are covered in Deuteronomy 28), even cancer.  Do NOT let them stay a minute longer in your body. Cast them away in the Mighty Name of Jessus, the Name that is above all sickness and disease.  If you have been“DIS” – “EASE”, then you must immediately go to the word, study and meditate on the “Word of God” to seek out HisTruth and be “EASED” from your discomfort.  Amen?

Many great men and woman of God, having found this Truth, went on to live a life completely freed of sickness and disease. When they were attacked, they always called upon “The Precious Blood of Jesus”. They knew the story in Job, how he sacrificed a burnt offering early in the morning every day without fail for the forgiveness of his sons and daughters who partied, made merry and got drunk everyday.  Job had complete protection for his wife, children and their possession and the devil was unable to touch any of them.

If you are sick, I encourage you to start believing the Word. Begin to declare “I plead the Blood, I believe in the Power of the Blood through which I have been redeemed from the curse including every sickness and disease, named or unnamed. I claim my victory through the Blood over the sickness assigned against me”.  Say it repeatedly and as often until that sickness leaves and healing comes. Remember, without faith, it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6).

In Proverbs, there is a scripture which says it even more clearer on the power of meditating on the word. Pay notice to verse 22.

Proverbs 4

20 My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.

21 Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.

22 For they are life unto those that find them, and “health to all their flesh”.

Another translation (CEB) says it this way “Healing for their entire body”. If we meditate on the word long enough, His word will slowly but surely be healing for our entire body. Amen.

Yes “Our Healing Is Guaranteed”, let’s believe His Promise and live a long and healthy life with no added sorrow! His word is the truth. Read more of my testimonies of my personal experience how I learn to believe and act on the scriptures written for us. They was almost 29 years ago since I was saved and discovered the power of His Word, His Name and His Blood, and have not stopped studying and meditating on His word. Learning about what the scriptures say is one thing but living and acting on the scriptures is another thing altogether. You have to experience it to testify about it, isn’t it?

Here are more of my favourite scriptures for meditation including:-

(1) Isaiah 53:4-5 – Notice in this scripture prophesied by Isaiah in verse 5b the words used “with his stripes we are healed”. Then he used the future tense ARE“.

Now read 1 Peter 2:24 and notice the words used by Peter who quoted the same scripture in Isaiah 53.

24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed”.

When Peter quoted that scripture, he was looking back to the cross to show that our healing was provided 2000 years ago and so he used the past tense “WERE“.

More scriptures:-

(2) Matthew 8:17
(3) Proverbs 4:20-22
(4) Romans 8:17 says “17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God”

Also, why not sing along with these hymns on “The Blood of Jesus”. You can hear them on the Page “The Precious Blood”.

Amen, be healed and be made whole in Jesus’ Name!

The Power of Invincibility

Good Evening Beloved!

This evening let’s talk about “The Power of Invincibility”

In the English Dictionary, the word “Invincibility is defined as :-

“Incapable of being overcome or defeated; unconquerable”

How would you like to be “Unconquerable” where sickness and disease, whether named or yet to be named (Deuteronomy 28:15-61), would be unable to touch you?

Or for that matter, would you like to be in a position where “the curses operating in the world through the evil forces” are unable to overcome or defeat you? Continue reading

Would it be possible?

The truth is a big “Y-E-S” as taught to us by Apostle Paul in Ephesians 1:21-22 which say that we, as believers, have been given the authority and power to be “far above all principality, and power, and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: And that power has put all things under our feet…”.

And this is the testimony.  Many of you (co-labouring with me in the market place ministry) know me well enough to know that this fact is true that since Jesus came into my heart some 29 years ago, He has through His Name, His Word and His Blood, kept me free from sickness and disease!  Hallelujah, His word is true!   And today at 69 years my HR Manager would bear witness to the fact that it would be rare of him to hear that I have fallen sick and have to take sick leave.  In fact during a health screen 2 years ago, the doctor declared my whole being  free from any sickness!  And he said the “blood in you is so strong to keep you free from any attack of bacteria, germs and viruses!  Wow, this came from a doctor!  Yes since joining the company in 2008 I could be considered very healthy among all the employees and many are half or younger than my age.  But the fact is I have not been born healthy and strong, no the fact is that up to 40 years of age, I was frequently sick and would have to take sick leave just like every other colleagues.  But that old man just died along with all the ills every since I have become a believer 29 years ago.

Soon you will hear more about the Mighty Blood of Jesus!  The Power to save, the Power to heal, and yes the Power to protect us!  All thanks be to our Lord Jesus Christ!

Okay, tonight I want to share on the word “Power” translated in Greek as “KRATOS”.

This Greek word KRATOS for power has been translated to mean “great dominion, might, power, force, strength”. It means greater than any other force or power or might or strength. This is divine Power, that power that was able to raise our Lord from His death.

A Bible Teacher who did his research described the Greek word “Kratos” for power to actually mean the power of “Invincibility” which in English is defined as “Unconquerable” or that cannot be overcome or defeated.

Oh yes and we born again believers have been given that KRATOS Power from on high to become “Invincible” to the evil forces of the world.

Yes with KRATOS POWER we are unconquerable!

BUT where is that word found?

Read:- verse 19

“And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power”

The word “Power” in the above verse is KRATOS in GREEK:-

“And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power (KRATOS)

It says according to the “working” ( the operation ) of his mighty KRATOS, yes the operation of the mighty power of invincibility, we stand “ far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world but in that which is to come.”  Amen, this is indeed Resurrection Power!  Nothing can put us down.  We are above only and not benealth.  Hallelujah, all glory to God the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost!

So I urge you to meditate on Ephesians 1:18-22 over and over again until the truth sinks deep into your heart, so that every word coming out of your mouth would arise out of your belly flowing with that rivers of the living water.

Jesus said in

John 16:33 …but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world”. Yea, through Him, you have been made “More Than Conquerors”.

Amen
And Goodnight Conquerors.  Remember Ephesians 1:18-23!  It will guard your life!

Do You Love Me?

Good Morning

Do You love Jesus?

Today scripture text is taken from John 21:14-17 where the Lord (following His resurrection) appeared and spoke to Simon Peter.  In this conversation between them, Jesus asked Peter 3 times “Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me?”

Apparently the Lord wanted to know how much Peter really loved Him!  The test is to understand these 2 Greek words “Agape” and “Phileo”. Continue reading

Agape is described as selfless, sacrificial, unconditional love, the highest of 4 types of love used in the Bible.

Phileo means to like or fond of a friend, liking and object or thing.

Judas was bad, worse than “Phileo”, he betrayed Jesus. But Peter was tested severely by the Lord. He denied The Lord 3 times after he earlier said he would follow him and would even die for Him!

Let’s read John 21 to see how he was tested and this was after the Lord’s Resurrection!

“John 21:
15 So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs.”

Peter here used the word “phileo”.

“16 He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep.”

The 2nd time he again answered “Phileo”

“17 He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.”

Now Jesus asked again “you Phileo me?

How sad, Peter could not agape Him.  And so he denied the Lord even after the resurrection!

But thank God that Peter grew as he served The Lord!

In Ephesians 1:18-19 he finally agape Jesus?  He was the only one who called His blood “Precious” !
Amen & amen

We can all grow as we tarry and serve and hopefully one day we can tell Him “Lord I agape thee”

Amen
Be blessed

Redemption

Redemption (Through the Blood of Jesus)

Good Morning

When we are saved, we become zealous and passionate for the things of God.  And we become witnesses for Jesus! And we will always have at least One Great Testimony to share with others.  One such testimony which I share over and over again is:-

Deliverance from Cigarette Addiction

I posted this testimony yesterday and you may use it to share with others who are bound and want to be set free. Continue reading

Redemption

This morning I want to ask that you meditate on this scripture below:-

Colossians 1:13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: 14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins

Here Paul pointed out that through the Blood of Jesus we have:

1. Redemption

Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the Law and we have been redeemed from the power of darkness. Yes certainly cigarette addiction is of the power of darkness! And I am greatly thankful that I have been set free solely by God alone and nothing else. I used to try repeatedly using man-made methods and as they say “will power” but to no avail.

There  are many other powers of darkness! One such power is terminal sickness and disease, but thank God that the scripture shows us that through the Power of the Cross, we as believers too have been set free!  I thank God that since I met Jesus, I have continued to stay healthy and strong including my family. I have prayed for all my family members and they have all made Jesus their Lord and Saviour.  All Glory to God. Amen?

2. Forgiveness of Sins

Paul too showed us through that scripture that we not only have been redeemed but that we also have the forgiveness of sins.

Hallelujah, aren’t you glad that as the Father has forgiven us, we too can forgive others!

May your meditation of the scripture above give you freedom from any power of darkness that is still lingering.

Just call upon the Blood and see the power therein!

Hallelujah!
Amen
Be blessed

The Virgin Birth

The Virgin Birth!

God Is Holy

Jesus cannot be touched by a sinful man before His ascension to the Heaven. He was on His way to take His “Precious Blood”
(which was shed and poured out for us) to the Holiest Place in the Heavenly Tabernacle when He met Mary.  To keep Himself pure, He told Mary not to touch Him because until He has finished this last act after His resurrection, He cannot be touched and be stained by earthly sinful man and so we have this scripture in the Book of John telling us why:- Continue reading

“John 20:17 Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.”

Anyone who approaches God too must be holy. Unredeemed persons as “sinners” cannot have a relationship with God as he has not been given access to God.  He must first be connected to God before he can communicate with Him!

“Romans 3:23  For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God”

So what is the consequence of sin?

Consequence of Sin

Sin separates us from God.  The Bible tells us that sin has to be judged and the penalty is death.  In Hebrews 9:27-28 we are told God sent His only begotten Son Jesus to die in the place of sinners in demonstration of His love for the world:-

“Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: 28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.”

Jesus Died for Sinners!  By His Death On The Cross He Paid The DEBT IN FULL!  Jesus paid the ransom price to save us from this condemnation!  The first Adam disobeyed and sinned against God but Jesus the second Adam came to redeem sinners by His total obedience to walk in holiness until His death on the Cross.  He was the only “begotten” Son of God of the Father and we see through His Virgin Birth, how he was born spotless and without blemish:-

The Virgin Birth

Let’s study this scripture on the Virgin Birth of our Lord Jesus Christ:-

“Matthew 1: 18Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.
19Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily.
20But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.
21And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
22Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, 23Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.”

Jesus was conceived in the womb of a virgin mother by the Holy Spirit – the mother contributes no blood at all? His blood was pure and holy and of the Father.  Peter called it “The Precious Blood”.

• This fact is proven by medical science that a baby’s blood takes after the father
• Jesus grew and was nourished in the womb
• No blood from the mother entered into the womb
• The placenta’s purpose : The placenta is an organ within the uterus by means of which the growing fetus is attached to the wall of the uterus. Its primary purpose is to provide the fetus with nourishment, eliminate its wastes and exchange respiratory gases.

The Blood of Jesus

What can cleanse and wash away our sin?  No, not our good works or doing good deeds, giving to charity.  Only and only the Blood of Jesus can redeem sinners and wash away all their sins.

1 Peter 1:18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; 19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot”

Why is the Bible Alive?

A scarlet thread runs through the whole Bible from Genesis to Revelation to make it alive.  It contains the Word of Life, the “Living Word”.  In Leviticus it is written that “Life is in the Blood”!

“Leviticus 17:11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul”

Our body without blood is dead.  And so it is the Blood in the Bible that makes it “Alive”.  It contains the “Living Word” of God.

It is through the “The Virgin Birth” that Jesus came to die for the sins of the world.

We believe in “The Virgin Birth”!.

Amen.

You Get What You See – Part 2

DIANOIA (Imagination)!

Good Morning

This morning’s message is a continuation of the previous message entitled “You Get What You See”.

We previously studied the Hebrew word YETSER used in the Old Testament scriptures to describe the English word “Imagination”.

Today we examine the equivalent of YETSER in the Greek word in the New Testament to describe the same word “Imagination“. Continue reading

This Word is DIANOIA and can be found in Strong Concordance Dictionary.

In Strong’s Concordance it is in No 1271
διάνοια diánoia
Pronoun as “dee-an’-oy-ah” from (1223) and (3563)
from and ; deep thought, properly, the faculty (mind or its disposition), by implication, its exercise:– imagination, mind, understanding.

You see that it is translated interchangeably for “imagination, understanding or mind” used in New Testament scriptures.

Here are some verses using the Greek word DIANOIA.

“Ephesians 1:18 The eyes of your understanding (DIANOIA) being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints”

Here Paul prayed for the eyes of our “understanding, or imagination or mind” to be enlightened.

So in effect, he is saying that whether in prayers or in meditation of the word, we should make it our priority to see with the “Eyes” of our mind.  We should be, as we make powerful declaration of the “promises” of God’s word, be seeing clear image of whatever we want it to come to pass.

In this manner, we are using them as faith building exercises actually “calling forth” answers to our prayers! When we decree and declare the promises, we ought also to assert them firmly, not timidly!  We must “violently” seek them, in other word.  In critical situation, we ought to be desperate enough to desire the answers to our prayers.  And we have to demonstrate that to God.  I strongly believe that weak prayers will not please God!

This is what is meant when Paul wrote Romans 4:17.

“(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and “calleth those things which be not as though they were”.

Another translation reads as:-

“as it is written, A father of many nations have I made thee before him whom he believed, even God, who giveth life to the dead, and “calleth the things that are not, as though they were.

Yes prayer in faith (not in unbelief) is to “call forth the things that are not, as though they were!

So next time when you pray, decree and declare strongly and confidently.  Better still start making it a habit of practicing the “Seeing” part!  See them, paint them, colour them beautifully in the “Canvas” of your imagination or mind.

The word DIANOIA is also used in

“1 John 5: 20 And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding (DIANOIA) that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.”

Here we are asked to see Jesus in our mind or imagination that we may know him better.  Yes knowing what He did for us.  See Him on Calvary and His work for our sake.  See your sickness and disease on Him!  Did He not bear our sins and stripes on His body?

In the verse below it is used for the word mind”

“Matthew 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind (DIANOIA).”

We are to love God with our imagination, forming images of Him in our mind.  See His inheritance given to us as beneficiaries.  See too how He suffered for us.  This is the correct way to love Him, to make Him real to you!

Can you say a big big Amen to all that!

Can you now see all your sickness and disease, fear, poverty, lack, discontentment, distress, sadness and sorrow taken away by Him on Himself. He bore, yes past tense, all that on Himself!

He did not have to do it again for you.  We must not crucify Him a second time.

He said on the mighty Cross “It Is Finished”!

If you believe, you must see Him clearly with the “Eyes of your understanding, imagination or mind”.

In Part 3, I will share with you “THE JACOB’S PRINCIPLE” in which you be surprised how simple it is to carry out this exercise of appropriating the promises of God!

Amen
Be blessed
