Good Morning

Today I would like to share on

written in Genesis 2:10-14. These rivers are the Rivers of God but hidden in the scriptures are nuggets of blessing all children of God can receive when they discover the true meaning of each river.

It would seem that God created a great river to water the garden when He put both Adam and Eve. Both of them had been tasked to take care of the garden. With the water of life flowing into the garden to water it, it brought fruitfulness to the trees from which the fruits became food for both Adam and Eve.

Then the scriptures went on to mention that from that great river of life it separated into 4 smaller rivers and they flowed in different directions to different places. Each of the 4 rivers has its own unique name and needless to say, they too brought life and fruitfulness to wherever it flowed. Before we consider the meaning of the name of each river, let’s spend some to consider the scripture text in Genesis 2:10-14:

10 And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads.

11 The name of the first is Pison: that is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold;

12 And the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone.

13 And the name of the second river is Gihon: the same is it that compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia.

14 And the name of the third river is Hiddekel: that is it which goeth toward the east of Assyria. And the fourth river is Euphrates.

For discussion here,
I like to refer them as the “FOUR RIVERS OF BLESSING”. Now each river has a name. And as the mighty river parted into 4 rivers, it went forth to water the countries in the North, South, East and West, bringing with it life and many benefits whenever it went.
The 4 rivers are called:-

1. Pison

2. Gihon

3. Hiddekel

4. Euphrates

You will be amazed to know the true meaning of the 4 rivers. You will be blessed by the meaning hidden in these scriptures! Only the diligent will get to know the blessing of God to the fullest intended for God’s children.

Get a good Bible Concordance. I recommend using the Strong’s Concordance, Here are the meanings of the four rivers:

Pison River means “Increase” – This river leads to a land filled with gold and precious gems as suggested in verse

11 The name of the first is Pison: that is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold;

12 And the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone.

Wow, that is our increase of gold and precious jewels. That’s our wealth, isn’t it?

Gihon River means “Bursting forth” – Yes whatever we do, we will break out and burst forth. No barrier of the enemy can stop this power of God!

Hiddekel River means “Rapid” – Wow wow wow! Can you see this blessing. We will not only burst forth, but it will be so fast that it is defined as “rapid”! That means before you sow, the harvest is already on its way to you!. Do you believe? If yes, you should declare the blessing over yourself..

Now let’s  read the meaning of the 4th river! Can you shout s “Halelujah and start receiving even as the truth starts to illuminate in your spirit. I don’t know about you, but I am very excited and truly encouraged by the meaning of the scripture even as I write this article down. Imagine all these nuggets of gold, all hidden if we do not dig into the scriptures. Let’s look at the meaning of the fourth river:

Euphrates River means “fruitfulness” – Oh mine, what a revelation! Are you excited to know that God will cause you to be fruitful and successful in all your endeavours.

How awesome is God’s Word! What a Mighty God we serve!

Dear Brethren, remember you have in you that Mighty River which will lead you into the fullness of God’s blessing. Therefore start praying as much as you can in tonques and stir up the river that is in you. God loves you and He earnestly love to bless His children. Please go to the article “HOW TO RELEASE THE BLESSING OF GOD” where I have given the details how you can learn to pray to release of blessing.

All Glory and Praise to God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit..

Be blessed

Good Morning

This morning I would like to share on a very importance topic

Are you walking in the fullness of God’s blessing. Why are so many believers missing out on the good things in their lives? The Psalmist in Psalms 103 declared these words in verse 3: Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s”
Friends, you need not miss out on the good things of life. You need to know that it is God’s will to bless you.  Every thing you desire in life has already been made available for you.

So let’s begin to look into the Word of God to see for ourself what has God actually promised to do for you and I. Once the truth is known, we can begin to appropriate the blessing and enjoy the good things made available to us.

I like to show you this scripture in John 8:31-32 to see the truth of God’s Word:-

31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;

32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

You will see that our Lord said that if you continue to read His Word, then you are His disciple, then you will know the truth and the truth will set you free. Now to be make free is to know God’s will for all of us and make no mistake, His will is to bless us to the extent that it will be beyond our understanding. That is what He meant by saying that when we know the truth of the Word of God, we will get to know His Will for us. Here’s what the scripture tells us in Ephesians 3:20

Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us”.

Do you see it, every blessing from Him will be measured exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think? Yes our God is unlimited. He loves all His children and He wants all to have the fullest of His blessing in great abundance, always more than enough. When we know this truth, which is His Will for us, we can begin to pray and ask in faith expecting the fullest of His Blessing as declared in 2 Corinthians 1:20:-

“For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us”

So yes as believers we can receive the many “Promises of God”. You see, the promises are always yes and never no. And if it is in the Bible, then it is available for us to receive.

I would like to quote another scripture in Romans 8:32 to see for ourselves “how” the promises came about.

He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

We see 2 important things said here in the scripture: the first is that God’s only begotten Son was sacrificed for our sins. Yes His death was the payment of our debt. Having  been redeemed, set free from the bondage of sins, we as believers are given His blessing containing all the Promises of God as set out in the Bible. Our Heavenly Father did all that in order to release the blessing to all who believe in Jesus, our Lord.

Now do you notice the word “freely” sandwiched in this above scripture. The manifold blessing or “Promises of God” they are freely given to anyone who can believe. In life, many good things we want to acquire will cost us a lot of money but thank God, His blessing is free. As believers are truly greatly blessed by the Creator of Heaven and Earth. So if you are a believer, the blessing is available to you. It will not cost you any money. All you have to do is simply believe. Now if you need more convincing that His blessing is “FREE”, then read for yourself the scripture in Isaiah 55:1-2

1. Come, all you who are thirsty,
come to the waters;

and you who have no money,
come, buy and eat!

Come, buy wine and milk
without money and without cost.

2. Why spend money on what is not bread,
and your labor on what does not satisfy?

Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good,
and you will delight in the richest of fare.

What a great scripture to chew and meditate on! Now going back to topic the for today, let’s read John 7:37-38:

37 In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.

38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

The context of the above scriptures speak of the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Anyone who has been baptized and is able to pray in tongues will be able to “Release the Blessing”. The verse says out of his belly shall flow “Rivers” of living water.

So praying frequently in tongues will enable us to not just release a river but “Rivers” of blessing. Yes there is going to be so many blessings, blessing of prosperity, blessing of health, joy, peace and so forth…

If you turn to Genesis 2, you will read of a mighty river flowing out
of the garden of Eden and if you read on, you will see that this is truly the “River of Living Water”. And as it flowed out of the garden, the Bible says that it split and parted into 4 different rivers and each river has a name and meaning. Let’s read:

Genesis 2:10-14:

10 And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads.

11 The name of the first is Pison: that is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold;

1. Pison

2. Gihon

3. Hiddekel

4. Euphrates

You will be amazed to hear the true meaning of the 4 rivers!

According to the Strong’s Concordance, the meaning is given as:

Pison River means “Increase” – This river leads to a land filled with gold and precious gems as suggested in verse

11 The name of the first is Pison: that is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold;

Good Morning

One early morning as I was meditating on the scriptures, suddenly my thought became awakened to the words “We Are More Than Conquerors”.  I knew this would be the message I was to share for the day with my forum members.  Now read on, it will bless you greatly.

The scripture text can be found in Romans 8:37 but in context we should also read verse 38 and 39 as follows:

Romans 8:37-39
Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. 38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

You will see that the above scripture declares to us that nothing in this world or the world to come can separate us from the “Love of God”. Truly this is how much God loved us that He gave us the gift of His only begotten Son to redeem us.

The words “We are more than conquerors” made by the great Apostle Paul  to all believers carry a very powerful statement. He is saying to you and I that we are not just a conqueror. We are not just a winner. We are not just a champion. Yes, he is saying that we are more than a conqueror, more than a winner, and certainly more than a champion! That’s who we are as children of the Most High God (EL ELYON). Amen!

Another way of interpreting the statement in verse 37 is that someone who fought the battle had won the fight, received his medal and winnings and then pass them all to us. That would make us “More Than Conquerors” isn’t it?

Now remember what our Lord said in John 16:33? Here’s what He said (Underlined):
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world

Do you see it? Our Lord Jesus had won the Victor’s Crown for you and me. And that Victory will include all benefits that accompanied the Crown. Beloved, now that the Victory has been won, all that we should do is to be happy and enjoy the “Inheritance” that has been given to us as joint-heirs with Him, our Lord and Savior.

Therefore never again say “we cannot”, instead say “we CAN” for we are more than conquerors!

Let’s us give Him all the Praise, the Honour and all the Glory!

Be blessed

Good Morning

This morning I am going to share with you how to  pray an effective prayer by sharing with you 2 testimonies as to how I got rid of skin blemishes (like skin tags, warts growing on my body.

Some 2 years ago I was bothered by a little growth on the skin on my back. It started to appear small and it did not bother me. But when it grew larger, like the size of a cyst (it was soft and painful to press) I began to wage a prayer warfare. The basic of my prayer is taken from the scripture in Mark 11:12-14, 19-24:

12 And on the morrow, when they were come from Bethany, he was hungry:
13 And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find any thing thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet.
14 And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it.

20 And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots.
21 And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away.
22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
23For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
24Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

In the above scripture our Lord himself taught us how to stop any growth taking place in our body.

Effective Prayer

In verse 14 when He found the fig tree bearing no fruits, He said these word to the tree “No man shall eat of thee hereafter FOREVER” (I have capitalized the word forever). It is as if the fig tree can hear! And in verse 21 the disciple and Peter seeing the result of the Lord’s words said to the Lord “Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursed is withered away”.

So using the scripture I began praying everyday. We need to pray ceaselessly until we see the result. It took me about 4 to 6 weeks. There was no result after the first few weeks and thoughts keep speaking to me that it would not work. But I counter attack by commanding every of those thoughts to be captive to the obedience of Christ as in 2 Corinthians 10:4. Then that growth began to dry up. It was withering away. Praise the Lord, by the 6th week, it suddenly dropped off from by back. My prayer was effective and that was a good lesson I learnt from the scripture that God’s Word is truth. It will set us free.

Testimony No 2 – It was about 3 weeks ago when I felt a little growth on my right arm. It was itchy and painful to pinch. It grew to the size of a green bean. With the experience I learnt from the first growth, I started to pray and curse that thing. Early this week (3rd week) I saw the growth loosening from my skin. As it was painful to peel off, I left it alone but continuing to pray and then it just dropped off.

There you are, you and I can truly pray effective prayers using scriptures. As long as we are scriptural and allow our heart to believe, we can have our answers in matters of weeks or even early if your faith is strong!

I hope today sharing will increase your faith to believe God’s word.

Be blessed

Good Morning

We all want to be successful, to prosper in the market place and at home.   So what is the secret?  If that’s what you are seeking, look no further, the answer is in the Bible which reveals God’s “Secrets of Success” to enable anyone believing in Him to prosper and be successful. By successful, it will mean to be successful and  be filled with all the goodness of God, to be in health, to feel his love and have joy to the fullest.

The Bible teaches that if we obey God, do not rebel but doing God’s Will, God will give us an open heaven to pour His blessings on us. Surrendering to Him and placing our complete trust in God is the primary key to be successful.

There are 2 very important prayers which we need to learn to pray. Based on what Apostle Paul taught in the Epistles, the letters to the Church, we have been encouraged to pray 2 prayers daily in order for us to know God’s Will for each of our individual life. Memorizing these 2 prayers and meditating on them are therefore necessary if we truly want to grow spiritually strong to carry out His Will.

It is through these prayers that we will gain more and more the fullness of the knowledge of God through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, our Master Teacher. We will also get to know clearly what God want us to do. Here’s the first prayer in Ephesians 1:15-19:

15 Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saint

16 Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;
17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know “what is the hope of his calling:, and what t”he riches of the glory of his inheritance “in the saints,

19 And what is “the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward” who believe, according to the working of his mighty power.

In short, in this first prayer we ask the Lord to grant us the “Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him” and to open our eyes, so that we may know

(1) our calling

(2) our inheritance
(3) the miraculous power that is in us.

Here’s the second prayer in Ephesians 3:14-19:

14 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,

15 Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,
16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;

19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

In this prayer we seek to be shown God’s love for us which surpasses all understanding. We also ask Him to show us the things He did to save us and of His sacrificing His only Begotten Son, of His finished redemptive work. To be able to fully understanding all this, Paul has asked that we pray daily to strengthen our inner man. Unless our spirit is healthy and strong, we cannot understand God and His Will for our daily walk, both vertical and horizontal fellowship.

So Brethren start making this 2 prayers a part of your daily devotion and you will be amazed how quick your growth in Him can be and how wonderful it will be each time you gather together with your fellow believers to fellowship. And by doing all these, you are doing God’s Will and God in turn will see your successful in all you do.

Commanding The Morning

Good Morning
What is Commanding the Morning” To start the day and ensure that it will be filled with the goodness of God, it is important that we speak forth the Word of God by “Commanding the Morning”, meaning praying for the day to be perfect for us.

Let’s read the counsel from the Lord to Job in Job 38:12-13

Hast thou commanded the morning since thy days; and caused the dayspring to know his place; (Note: Dayspring means from the rising of the sun till it’s going down)

13 That it might take hold of the ends of the earth, that the wicked might be shaken out of it?

According to the above scripture, as we start a new day, it is important that we make a prayer by “Commanding The Morning” by speaking forth words of blessings for ourselves and family that the day may shine brightly in all that we do.

Let’s say this prayer:

Heavenly Father we thank you for this new day that you have made for us. We thank you for you counsel given to us in Job 38:12-13 that we are empowered by you to command our morning by declaring for your word to prevail throughout the day for everyone in my family.

We now decree and declare that the windows of heaven be opened and release the fullness of your blessings to us. We thank you that it is Your Will to “freely give us all things to enjoy” because you love and care for our well-being.

We receive with grateful thanks your exceeding overflowing and provision to meet all our needs today. Father you are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider, the God who supply all our needs according to your riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

We know that your provision will always be more than enough to meet our needs, that there will still be plenty of leftovers for us to be a blessing to others.

You are our Healer and we thank you causing us to be very healthy and strong. We now decree and declare that every cell, organ, bone, and all circulation systems in body will be healthy and strong and they will function efficiently in accordance with your word.

We thank for your wisdom, favour and grace in all that we will do today. Whatever we place our hands on, you will bless, prosper and multiply it.

We are blessed in our going and coming in. We are the head and not the tail. You will always cause us to rise to the top and never below.

We thank you for Your protection through the power of the Blood of Jesus and your ministering Angels.  In Jesus’s Name we now apply the precious Blood of Jesus on my family, our homes and all on our finances and savings, our works and any project we are engaged in. You will assign your angels not only to watch over us but they will make everything convenient for  us.

For all that you will do for us today, we promise always to give you all the worship, glory and praise. In Jesus’s Most Wonderful Name we pray.

Be blessed

Good Morning

This morning I am going to share with you the word

“U N L I M I T E D”.

Yesterday evening while meditating on the word, the Lord  impressed upon me to share on His greatness, that His Name is

This is going to be a very encouraging message and I am greatly blessed meditating and preparing it! Very often we limit Him in many ways that when we pray, we pray as if God is limited. We seem to forget that our God is truly a big God, greater than the whole Universe which He created. So in this manner we very so often have the answers to our prayers in very limited way and measure. Our fault is because we forget that God’s thoughts are not our thoughts, neither His ways our ways. (Isaiah 55:9).

God can give us more and much more if we know who “He really is”

If we know Him and know Him right, surely we will think right and pray rightly. Our God is  “Immeasurable and Unlimited”.  Let’s now turn to the scripture and read for ourselves how big our God really is in Ephesians 1:18-19 (Amplified):

18 And[I pray] that the eyes of your heart [the very center and core of your being] may be enlightened [flooded with light by the Holy Spirit], so that you will know and cherish the hope [the divine guarantee, the confident expectation] to which He has called you, the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints (God’s people),

19 And [so that you will begin to know] what the immeasurable and unlimited and surpassing greatness of His [active, spiritual] power is in us who believe.

Do you see it? The scripture in verse 19 describe our God as “Immeasurable and Unlimited”. That means we can now change our old thinking and start to think correctly and in alignment with what the scripture actually says about God.  Let us therefore start believing right and pray rightly and when we do that we can start to receive from our Heavenly Father all the promises of God. Our inheritance as joint-heirs is all inclusive that He has freely given us all things to enjoy.Another amazing scripture describing who God is can be found in Job 11:7-9:Can you fathom the depths of God
or discover the limits of the Almighty?
They are higher than the heavens—what can you do?
They are deeper than Sheol—what can you know?
Their measure is longer than the earth
and wider than the sea.Amen do you see how Job saw God? Yes we serve a God who is
U N L I M I T E D.  We cannot know the deep things of God, He is higher and larger than we can think or imagine Him. He is wider than the seas and and longer that the earth. So Brethren let’s believe His words and start praying big and receiving big. Let’s ask for great peace rather than just peace, let’s ask for great strength and endurance in what we want to do. Let’s stretch our thinking and prepare to receive greater and greater abundance rather than barely enough or just enough.

Always remember that ecause He is “UNLIMITED” He can answer us greater and more. Yes let’s dare to believe that our God is IMMEASURABLE AND UNLIMITED and all things are possible with Him and let’s start praying like we should.

In conclusion let’s read Romans 8:31-32:

31What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

32He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also “freely give us all things”?

Instruction Manual

Good Morning

You know when we buy something to enjoy like a bicycle, computer games and the like, or even hobby toys, there will always be available an “Instruction Manual” to show us the “How To”.  Without it, the things will become of no benefit to us.

Similarly, the Word of God is mankind’s Instruction Manual showing us guidelines how to live a good, happy and successful life. Let’s read a scripture in Psalms 119:73 to see why we need God and and His Word.

“Thy hands have made me and fashioned me: give me understanding, that I may learn thy commandments”

Do you see it? Isn’t is amazing that the Word of “God given to us is His “Instruction Manual”  to show us how we should live, to have the “Abundant Life” as promised in John 10:10:

“…I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly”.

God has created and fashioned you into a beautiful person but just existing as a person is not enough. God wants you to know and walk in His ways. So He gave you the Holy Spirit to teach  you how you can live an enjoyable and successful life. Yes to have life and have it “more” abundantly.

That’s why the Psalmist asked: Lord you have made me, now give me understanding that I may learn your commandments (Word of God).

The Holy Spirit illuminated my spirit while I was reading the Bible this morning. I hope this will bless you abundantly.

Have a Blessed Day!

Creative Power of the Word of God

Creative Power of the Word of God

Good Morning

This message is on the Creative Power of the Word of God.

According to the Bible our words have great “Creative Power”.  We can have what we speak. Just consider what it says in Proverbs 18:21:

Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

It is therefore good that we avoid unwholesome words. Instead we should speak the Promises of God into ourselves. According to Job 22:28 what we speak will be established for us. Let’s see what it actually says:

Job 22:28

Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.

The word used in this verse for saying something is a powerful word “Decree” used in the Court of Justice. It refers to a Judgement signed by a Judge for the decree to be carried out for whosoever it has been decreed.

A Pastor who regularly spoke at the Christian Fellowship Meeting (CFM) once told us that when his son was small, he suffered from speech problem. He was born with speech impediment. But because he knows the Word of God and believes in the power of healing, both he and his wife started to declare words of healing and restoration into his son’s life and slowly but surely, they saw sign of improvement of his speech which no medical procedure could help. Today his son has grown to be a young man with no speech problem and the last we heard was that he has even won a scholarship to University. This is the Power of His Word!

All glory to God for giving us His Word which has such awesome and great power. For myself I have many experiences of the creative power of God’s Word for my family too as I prayed and confessed the Word of God daily.

Now let’s look at some scriptures in the New Testament. Below is one scripture touching on the same thing:

Hebrews 10:23

Let’s hold on to the confession of our hope without wavering, because the one who made the promises is reliable.

Do you see the teaching in this verse? We are to told to hold fast to our confession. Whatever we decree we must hold on to it, then slowly but surely it will be established. We must not waver at all. In other words, we must speak in faith and believe God what we are declaring. So long as the declaration is in His word, given time we will experience the blessings.

So brethren I encourage you to never give up, but trust God and continue declaring. If you are seeking healing, declare and possess. If you are seeking a new job, tell the Lord and start declaring and seeing yourself in your new place of work. Our God loves to bless us. He always delight in our well-being. You too can speak into the lives of your children and see them, grow and mature in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

On the basis of His words, I pray that all of you who read this message will see and receive the fruits of your declaration.

Be blessed

Today I am going to share with you a very powerful message on the Weapons of Warfare I have received from the Lord. They will help to heighten your spiritual knowledge and give you a refreshing in the joy of the Lord. You will learn to pray more confidently and your prayers will be even more powerful and speedily you will have your answers to your prayers. No longer will you again pray vain prayers. For too long most believers have put too much focus on the written Word of God in the area of knowing who God is and what He can do for them. There is little doubt that the Lord wants us to increase our knowledge of God and to know all His “Promises” so that we can enjoy His inheritance given to us.

Unfortunately, believers have very little knowledge of their enemy and his works, the strategy satan uses to destroy Churches and their members. The Bible refers the evil works as the “wiles of the devil”. To defend ourselves, believers should spend quality time to study who the entities are in the kingdom of darkness. Satan and the fallen angels are still moving to and fro on earth seeking anyone whom he can devour.

In the Bible the Lord Jesus has shown us how demons behaved and how believers can overcome them. We should therefore pay heed to his teachings and learn how to be soldiers in Christ, using weapons that have been given for our use.

It is in this context that I have posted this message on “Weapons of Warfare”, what they are and how we can use  them to overcome all the evil works of the devil and his vast army of demons.

Part 1 – In the first part of the today message let’s begin first to discuss on the scripture speaking of “Weapons of Warfare” written in 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 as follows:-

3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: 4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) 5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ”

We see here that Apostle Paul made it very clear that our “Weapons of Warfare” are never natural but powerful spiritual weapons. Similarly the devil together with followers of different spiritual entities want to defeat believers with their own set of spiritual weapons. They build strongholds to grip Christians to thwart their growth. They invade their minds with all kinds of evils and thoughts to cause them to have vain imaginations to bring about distress and discontentment thereby imprisoning them. Notice that there is not just a stronghold but many strongholds, imaginations and thoughts, all plural.

In using the weapons God gave us, we must realise that we are the present day “Triumphant Church”, as opposed to those who walk as if they are in a “Defeated Church”. We therefore use the weapons to enforce our Victory in Christ. We remember the scripture in Revelation 12:11 “We overcome the devil by the Blood and our word of testimony as to what God has already done for us. We therefore do not pray like this: “God please give us victory and help us to overcome the enemy.” We have already been given powerful weapons to use against all the wiles of the devil and we should therefore pray as victors to “enforce” our victory. In Ephesians 6 we are reminded always to stand strong as champions to defend our territory. The Lord has made us more than conquerors and if God is for us, then really who can come against us? (Romans 8:31,37).

Instead every morning we should pray confidently with the resurrection power that is in us (Ephesians 1-19-20), to stand our ground and to enforce the victory that is ours to possess, giving no place to the enemy.

I trust this will encourage you today. Tomorrow (see Part 2 below) I will share on the various weapons we can use as well as strategies to use against different entities like principalities, powers, rulers of the darkness of this world and spiritual wickedness in high places so that our prayers are specific and properly directed for quick answers.

Part 2 – Here are some of the weapons we can use against any attack of the enemy.
Name of Jesus – I consider the Name of Jesus as the most powerful weapon. In Philippians 2:10 we are taught that using the Name will grant us victory over the evil spirits habitating in the 3 realms of heaven, earth and below.

“Philippians 2:10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth”

Blood of Jesus – Next would be the Blood of Jesus. When we use the Blood, Satan will be defeated refer scripture in Revelation 12:11

“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death

Word of God – In Matthew 4:4 the Lord Himself showed us how to defeat the devil with the written word:

“But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every WORD that proceedeth out of the mouth of God”

Again in Ephesians 6:17 we are taught not only weapons for our defence but also weapon we can go on the offensive

In the scripture below notice that the “Sword of the Spirit” is actually the “Word of God”:

“And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God”

Faith – Then we too have to remember that all the scriptures cannot be effective for our use if we do not have faith in the Name, the Blood and the Word. With faith we will have our prayers quickly answered.
This is how we grow in faith – Read Romans 10:17:

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God”
And in Hebrews 11:6 we read:
“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him”
Another weapon is God’s Truths. Freedom comes when we know the truth.

John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

If we search the scriptures, I am sure there are more weapons we can use. Perhaps we can add Prayer and Praise which are also powerful weapons for believers. I trust this will provide you with the necessary ammunition to go on the offensive against the enemy of our soul. Tomorrow we discussed the 3 levels of how the enemy attacks Christians: oppression, obsession and possession.

Witnessing Testimony

Witnessing Testimony

Good Morning

Let me share with you 2 testimonies regarding my classmates I met after leaving school.

After our O level in St Patrick’s, 10 of us continue to meet monthly on Saturdays for lunch fellowship.  This will be our 50th anniversary of friendship meeting together, sometimes with our spouses as well.

Sadly 2 of them went before their time, but praise be to God for their salvation at the 11th hour. God’s timing is perfect when we are willing to witness for Him.

Testimony 1 (Jerry)In 1993, Jerry was working in Indonesia doing his business.  His family stayed in Singapore.  One day in the office in Keppel Towers, I received a call from him.  I had not seen him for years when suddenly he called me.  He said, “Chris I just returned to Singapore and before I go back, I would like to meet up with you”.  I said OK and I arranged to meet in my office

We were then chatting to catch up when suddenly I had an impression to witness to him.  So I shared my testimony of how I was saved by the goodness and mercy of the Lord.  After sharing I asked to pray for his salvation.  He said yes and we prayed for him to receive Jesus.  He then left with a Bible from me. Several weeks passed when a classmate called to say Jerry had a major stroke in Indonesian and had been flown back.  It was a serious stroke as he lost all his right side movement.  He could not walk and talk but he could recognize us each time we visited him to cheer him up.  This went on for 6 to 7 years until he went to be with the Lord.

Testimony 2 (Francis) – I too prayed for Francis, another classmate, to receive the Lord. The event was like this:

We heard he was sick and admitted to the hospital. With a friend we visited him. He was in a bad shape. Both his legs had swollen. The doctors, even after repeated testings could not give a cause for his swollen legs. He said he got the sickness after returning to Singapore.  He visited Malaysia a lot and one day a lady who massaged him gave him a bottle of potion to drink. He was told the drink would make him healthy and bring him wealth. Instead it brought him bad luck.

The treatments were very costly and after many tests, he said they cost him almost S$300,000.00. It just wiped out his savings. As was my practice, I always carry a small Bible with me. After hearing his story, I asked to pray for him. I too asked him if I could pray for his salvation. He did not reject and so that day, Heaven rejoiced.

He was later discharged as the hospital could not help him any further. Some months later, he passed on. He came to receive Jesus at a very late stage and therefore did not enjoy the blessings of the Lord while he was alive. Very sad indeed but at least he had Jesus because I was not ashamed to share the gospel with him.

So if we asked the Lord to save and pray for our unsaved family members and friends, God in His mercy will answer us.

Jerry and Francis were such a person who the Lord loved and granted them salvation.  I am glad that I could make a difference.

Wonderful Things

Wonderful Things

Good Morning

When I got up this morning, I was thanking God for another new day that He has made for me when the Word “Wonderful” came from Him.

Why was He saying that today for I know that God is always good and as believers we should always expect His goodness each and every day? Perhaps it is a reminder, perhaps He is telling us to expect “wonderful things” from Him today. Like Isaiah perhaps we should adopt a stance like Him in Isaiah 25:1 when He said:

“O LORD, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things”

And in another place Isaiah taught us how to glorify God by letting praise be in our gates (mouths) day and night.

Dear Brethren, nothing can stop God from doing wonderful things for us. He is faithful everyday, yesterday today and forever. So speak the words and declare and expect “Wonderful Things”, His bountiful, and always an over-flowing blessings that you will not have enough rooms to contain them. (Malachi 3:10):

10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, “if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.”

Intimacy With God

Intimacy With God!

Good Morning

Today I want to share on the topic “Intimacy with God“.

Over the weekend I have been reminded repeatedly of the these (3) words “Intimacy With God” as if the Holy Spirit was reminding me to draw even closer to Him. You see, it is my regular practice to spend time praying more and more in His presence. I always enjoy the quiet evening fellowship with the Holy Spirit, after a day’s work. At the Resurrection Sunday Service this morning, the Holy Spirit again reminded me to look into this topic. I have therefore been meditating on these three (3) words “Intimacy With God

How many of you really want to know the Holy Spirit intimately? Then this article will get you started in your pursuit of wanting to know God more, to have  “Intimacy with God“. If you want to grow, you need to have more intimacy with the Holy Spirit, spending more time to get more acquainted with His ways of leading and guiding you. And yes there is no better place to begin then to meditate on  Romans 8. If you consider the scripture in this chapter, we see why it is so important to know Him for it is He that will lead and guide us into the truth of God’s word. It is He that will teach us to abide in Christ and not follow after the flesh so that we can find the life of God. We read in Romans 8:26-27 how the Holy Spirit will help our weaknesses, lead and show us how to pray according to the will of God. In my experience, using scriptures accurately in our prayers are very important. Many believers prayed without getting answers to their prayers because they prayed amiss. Our Lord Himself had shown us an example how to pray with scriptures (Matthew 4:4) in order to overcome the tempter.

Romans 8:

26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

In the above scripture text, we learn 3 things:

1. The Holy Spirit will help our weaknesses

2. He will intercede on our behalf as we pray along with Him

3. He will pray the promises of God’s word according to our needs

Once I heard a Christian Singer sang a beautiful hymn. The lyrics are beautiful. Here’s the chorus part:-

Give me one magnificent obsession.

Jesus, give me one glorious ambition for my life:

To know and follow hard after You

I really enjoyed listening to the hymn which has a nice melody to it. The way it was sang, I believe she is a worshipper and must have a very close relationship with God. This truly is a “pure and holy passion” every believer must work towards it. To know God, we must seek him earnestly if we really want to have “Intimacy with God” in order to know Him more and more.

The Apostle Paul wrote in Philippians 3:10 these words: “That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection…”

THAT I MAY KNOW HIM” is the trumpet call to us. Paul truly left no stone unturned to seek after God. So yes it is scriptural that God is seeking after His children to seek him with all their heart and with all their soul and with all their strength and with all their mind. Today I want to encourage you to seek God, the Father, God His Son and God the Holy Spirit. Seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul and with all strength and with all your mind. Yes He wants all of us  and when you we that, slowly but surely He will draw closer and closer to us. It is always an awesome experience to worship the Father in spirit and in truth, that’s the mark of a true worshipper, isn’t it?

Therefore, let’s this be our pursuit and not otherwise. Romans 8 says it this way: that the “Law of the Spirit of Life” will make us free from the law of sin and death. Yes if we seek after Him, we will live. That’s how to have “Intimacy with God“.

Seeking after God is an all life pursuit for a believer and this morning let’s meditate in depth this scripture in Genesis 5:24 to see what really happenned to a true worshipper of God:

And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years: 24 And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him”

Amen, this is one pure and holy passion we should have! Read also the posting on “Secret Place” at this link

Shield of Faith

Shield of Faith!

Good Morning

This morning I want to share with you on the above topic “Shield of Faith”.

Ephesians 6:10 – Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

We are taught in Ephesians the proper order of our walk as believers:-

1. Sit

2. Walk
3. Stand

The Epistle of Ephesians contains very rich and deep teachings and one of the things we can learn from it in our daily walk of faith is to learn to be at rest, meaning to “rest from work“. The order of our walk is not to work and then rest. Rather it is the other way around, that is we must be at rest to receive the peace of God and once we are at peace, we can then start to serve God by partaking of the ministry we are called to do.

In the first chapters of the Ephesians, we learn that we are “seated in heavenly places” and that’s telling us to be at rest, knowing that our Lord has done a finished work.

Ephesians 2:6 :And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus

On the other hand, many believers get “burned out” just because they missed understanding the teachings in Ephesians and elsewhere. When we understand this principle how to be “at rest” (resting in the finished work of Christ) our hearts will be at peace.

Confident of this rest we have in Christ, we start to walk as a believer, doing both natural and spiritual things, going to church, attend Bible study and, whenever possible, gathering together daily to pray, encouraging one another, and giving time for our daily devotion.

And even as we walk to partake doing the Kingdom’s work and appropriating the promises of God, there comes a time or times when we need to “stand”  up against the wiles of the enemy who moves about and roar like a roaring lion seeking weak believers to devour.

If you read chapter 6, notice the word to “stand” repeated several times. That’s the emphasis to us the readers. Because our enemy both in the natural and spiritual realms will make every attempt to attack us by sending fiery darts to hurt us.

And how do we protect ourselves from these attacks? Yes, we need to take up our “Shield of Faith” to stop the fiery darts. Now shall we go to Chapter 6 of Ephesians and read starting from verses 10 to 16 (paying attention to verse 16)

10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

The teachings in Ephesians presuppose that all believers are not immuned to such attack. So it beckons us to take up this “piece of the armour” like a Roman soldier, the shield of faith. Apparently this is not a natural shield but a spiritual one.

So how do we take up this piece of armour to stop the fiery darts? I strongly believe that we use prayers to build the “Shield”. So here’s another valuable lesson : We study and memorize scriptures and use them whenever we have to do so.

Now let’s take a lesson from verse 17 to see how we can also go on the offence in prayers:

“And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God”

Do you see it, there is available a spiritual weapon given to believers – the “Sword of the Spirit”? Yes we can use the Word of God as a weapon in our prayers to go on the offensive, to destroy every fiery dart that may be sent our way.

One powerful and effective prayer is to use the “Blood of Jesus” as our hedge of protection. In our prayer, my recommendation is to use the Blood to cover everything you possess. Use the Blood to cover your family, homes and all your possessions. I suggest you use this weapon daily before leave for work and before you retire for the night, yes do it day and night for complete protection and peace of mind.

So brothers and sisters, take up your Shield of Faith and use the Sword of the Spirit for protection from any attack of the enemy.

Another New Day

Good Morning – This article “Another New Day” will show you how to appreciate to live fully each new day you receive from the Lord!

Let the Light of Jesus shine brightly in your hearts and let Him fill you with His Joy. We are always grateful for what we receive each day from the Lord. Today is no different – it is another new day and we want to thank Him for another new day added to our days on earth. Beloved, just think how privilege you are as believers. There are others who are not so privileged, those with difficult issues facing them, and who would give anything to see another new day. Let’s now meditate on today’s scripture text:-

This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. (Psalms 118:24)

Yes today is a brand new day.  It is going to be a good day because God is good! We are thankful to our Lord for blessing us yet with another new day! Even though King Solomon declared that there is nothing new under heaven, our Lord Jesus declared differently and He showed us what believers can expect for each new day. He boldly said in John 10:10 “that He has come to give us not just a life, but an abundant life.” That means we will always have “More Than Enough”. Can you say amen to that?  Now do you believe it? If you do, you can say yes and “thank Him for for this new day He has given, rejoice and be glad for today“.

You need to believe and you need to confess to yourself and family what this day mean to you. You see, how you fare today is how you make of it. You can choose what you want it to be. You can be sad and you can be happy. What do you want? JOSHUA, the great man of God once during his journey to Canaan declared these words in Joshua 24:15:

And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell:

but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord

Beautiful words, aren”t they? I have emphazised the key words in bold letters above. So clearly we see from scripture that we need to make a choice for each new day. We need to choose to serve Him or the world. So brethren, make a wise choice today how you want to serve Him. Scriptures have taught us a principle that we

Confess To Possess“.

So let’s rejoice and confess as follows:-

“Lord we thank you for this new day you have given us. We will rejoice and be glad because you are good. Today is an abundant day for me and my family. We will receive good things because you want the very best for us. We see abundance in every situation we encounter today. Today we have received your wisdom from above and in whatever decision we make we will make a wise decision. Today is a good day because you want us to be healthy and strong. By the stripes of Jesus Christ, you have healed and make us whole. We are joyful because you have given joy and peace, even by the blood of Jesus. Today is a great and wonderful day because we see victory in every step we take. We will overcome every evil work that may have been assigned against us because you declared to us in Revelation 12:11 that we will overcome the devil by the blood of the lamb and by the words we testify. Amen.”

Good Ground

Good Morning

Today let’s study the Bible to see what exactly is called “Good Ground”.

A good place to start is in Luke 8 where the Lord delivered a sermon on the parable of the sower and in the following verses from 8:12-15, He explained the 4 types of grounds that the words are received.

Luke 8:

11 Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.

12 Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.

13 They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.

14 And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection.

15 But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.

We are told first that the seed is the Word of God.

  1. Seeds sown on the wayside (8:12)

When a seed is sown on such ground, the enemy will immediately come and eat the seeds sown. Believer with no depth of God’s word suffer such fate. This is because they hear but have no understanding of the word preached! They enter the Outer Court and wander around but they never even understand what really happened at the Brazen Altar when the lamb was sacrificed.

  1. Seeds sown on the rock (8:13)

Believers with stony ground  are those that will receive the word with joy for a while but soon they lose interest because of the rocky ground. Without sufficient depth the seeds are unable to grow. When temptation arises, they very quickly will succumb and fall away. Such believers  have no root and will last but for a while. In the Outer Court they were curious to know why the Lord had to go the Cross and understand it but they proceed no further to the “Laver” to be washed and cleansed by the water of the word.

3. Seeds sown on thorns (8:14)

A believer with thorns is one that has a hardened heart that is choked with the cares and riches of the world, and with the thorns competing with each other, such a believer cares little for the word of God. His cares will take him away from regular attendance in Church to hear the word. Ultimately they will have no fruits to show.  They could have through encouragement joined a ministry serving God. But the cares of the world soon affect him much to the extent that he, is unable to partake of what truly takes place in the Holy Place of the Tabernacle, where believers with a surrendered heart, partake of the bread and wine, receiving the anointing oil of the Holy Spirit and of worshipping God in spirit and in truth.

4. Seeds sown on good ground (8:15)

Let’s read the scripture in 8:15

But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience”

The is the place most true believers want to be – Most Holy Place of the Tabernacle. You will see that a believer with an honest and good heart understands the words preached. They just believe and receive them. They are able to retain the words in their hearts. They have fruits to show. They  eventually have learned to receive the abundant “Life”. I believe Bible study sessions and meditation of the word are important lessons to adopt.

In verse 23, we see evidence that when the words are preached, such believers will grow and bear fruits.

23 But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty

So here we have the 4 keys to show us the 4 grounds how believers react to God’s word. How one receives will determine the size of the harvest, yes even one that is “a 1000 times more!

I believe there are more conditions that, when adhered to, will allow a believer to receive the blessing. In an open heaven, there is no limit to the abundance of His supply. Yes, my God shall supply all my need according to His riches in Glory by Christ Jesus!

Then we must make efforts to select what we hear. How we hear from and “whom” we hear are both important. An anointed speaker can set a captive free. When such a speaker is in the meeting, the anointing can be felt and this is one reason how captives can be set free. The Bible teaches that the yoke of bondage is destroyed by the anointing because therein lies the dunamis power of God. Then we need to be passionate in wanting to study and meditate on the words. In an anointed atmosphere we receive and retain the words very well, with the result of bearing much fruits.

Also developing a personal relationship with the Lord is a “must have“. That’s when a believer faithfully spends quality times with the Lord. Without devoting to spending quality time with Him, I would not have been able to  discern the voice of the Holy Spirit and write the daily devotional.

Amen, I hope this message will challenge you to draw closer to the Lord and to serve Him well.

Be blessed

Power To Decree

 Power To Decree!

This morning, I would to share on the believer’s “Power To Decree”.

God’s Words are powerful. They contain the miraculous power of God to create. In Greek, the word power has been described as “miraculous power, might and strength”. We are given the “Power To Decree”.

As believers, our words have creative power and it is important that we choose what we say to one and another. The Bible has good counsel how we should talk and speak. And this is clearly explained in the scripture in Isaiah 55:11:-

“So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.”

Through the prophet Isaiah, God has made it plainly clear that His words once spoken will accomplish whatever  and whenever we delcare them. This is an importance and powerful principle for us to obey.

However, do note that the above scripture is in the Old Testament. If it carries such power, then surely words spoken by New Testament believers will carry even more power!

Present day believers that is, living in the age after the resurrection of Jesus,  should therefore exercise caution in their words spoken. Let’s read Revelation 1:6 to catch a glimpse of who we are and why our words carry such potent power as declared in this scripture:-

“And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever.”

Dear Brethren, do you see how important our words are? As kings, we are given the right to “DECREE”! As you are aware, only Kings carry the authority and power to decree, not the people under their rule.

So go ahead, whatever things you want to come to pass, so long as they are according to God’s Will, you can declare and decree them.

He First Loved Us

He First Loved Us!

Good Morning

This morning I want to share a message on the topic of the love of God entitled “He First Loved Us”.

Early this morning as I left home for work, I received these words “You love me because I first loved you”.

When the lift hit the ground floor, the lift door opened and the Holy Spirit impressed upon me the words found in 1 John 4:19 “We love him, because he first loved us”. It seems to me that the Lord is beckoning us to go back to His first love, a gentle reminder for us not to be caught up in our daily work and doing worldly things.

And this is especially so this year where workers are expected to work harder than before in the light of the poorer forecast of the economy. Yes we can be busy bees and this should rightly be so if we want to keep our jobs. But the scripture always remind us to stay strong and to do so we need to read and meditate more of the Word of God in order not to be discouraged by what we see and hear.

For believers, we have to stay positive, looking up and not down and to pray without ceasing because prayer will change things, will build up faith.

In today’s scripture, the Lord is teaching us to keep on focus on His love.

1 John 4:19
“We love him, because he first loved us.”

If you consider the ,words in the scripture deeper, we find peace and assurance that if indeed God first loved us even when we did not know Him, surely we can in return demonstrate our love by placing our complete trust in Him. Yes we demonstrate our love by serving him and to share His love for us with others that His Name “God is love” may be known.

Oh yes some may ask a 1000 questions “How can that be or How can He accept me, I have not done any thing worthy of Him?” and the list can go on…but what did the scripture declares in John 3:16? That’s the truth and if they know the truth they too can be set free like us. Unbelievers are not aware of this truth and we must tell them so that they might find God!

So today let’s thank Him for His Love for us, for redeeming us from the power of darkness and translating us into His Kingdom of marvelous light and love.

Be blessed

The Lord Is My Portion

The Lord Is My Portion!

Good Morning

The morning I want to share on the topic of “The Lord Is My Portion”.

Lamentations 3:24

The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him”.

Today let’s declare “The Lord Is My Portion”.

For believers, in Christ every day is a new day and it is always a good day for God is good and He loves us. We begin the day by thanking Him for another new day and await to see the demonstration of His Hand upon us in everything we do. We expect good things coming our way because God is good all the time. We therefore see nothing but all the good that is upon us and our family. The Bible declares that we are heirs of salvation, heirs of His inheritance. That will mean He is our everything, making us partakers of all the “Promises of God” contained in His word. Yes how then can there be lack when we believe Him as Jehovah Jireh, our Provider?

And much more for Christ has given us a life that is complete and filled with His abundance. Remember, it is His Abundance as declared in John 10:10:-

“…I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”

What a declaration! And so we love Him for all that He has done.

Today we know what we have, indeed we have His Inheritance and we will not lack for any good thing.

Truly, truly Jesus is our Portion!

Let’s put our hope in Him and no one else!

Be blessed

Send Now Prosperity

Send Now Prosperity!

Good Morning

This morning I would like to share on on these words “SEND NOW PROSPERITY” taken from Psalms 118:25.

We thank God for His mercy which will endure forever and ever. In every situation of our need, His mercy is always available.

Yes that how the Psalmist David began his exaltation of God in Psalms 118. From verse 2-4, David declared 3 groups of people to have the mercy of God: (1) the Nation of Israel, (2) the house of Aaron and (3) those who have reverence of the Lord: In these verses, notice the word “SAY” repeated in each verse. Surely, David was teaching us  a principle of calling forth! In scriptures, every time a word is repeated, it is calling our attention to its importance. Let’s read them:-

2 Let Israel now SAY, that his mercy endureth for ever.
3 Let the house of Aaron now SAY, that his mercy endureth for ever.
4 Let them now that fear the LORD SAY, that his mercy endureth for ever.

(I have capitalized the word)

Now let’s see what David declared in verse 28:-

“25 Save now, I beseech thee, O LORD: O LORD, I beseech thee, SEND NOW PROSPERITY“.

Do you see it? He call forth “Prosperity”!

Let me share a short testimony. I became a believer some 32 years ago. Once I got hold of the revelation of confessing the word to possess, I have never since stopped declaring and decreeing God’s Promises over myself and family. We thank God that all of us have enjoyed the benefit of the power of God’s Word over our lives, His health, strength, peace, joy and His provision. I remember one scripture which says “Your word is medicine to our entire body”! I have never failed to declare this scripture everyday and we are enjoying the fruits. That is quoted in Proverbs 4:22 “For they are life to those that find them, and health to all their flesh.”

Amen, what do you need today? Then call forth them forth:-

Call forth peace, and confusion will go.

Call forth strength and weakness surely will leave.

Call forth wealth and poverty will leave.

Yes call forth health, and all sickness will flee!

Be blessed

Good Morning

Today let me share on the word “Encouragement” set out in many scriptures in the Bible.

How often do you gather together with believers. In the Bible, we are taught to encourage one another. There are many instructive words on “one another”. Paul always encourage his disciples to gather together to pray and to encourage one another. Helping one another in times of need is also a way of encouragement.

This is truly important. Let’s read one example in Deuteronomy 1. Here we read the story of God asking Joshua to be strong in order to take possession of Canaan, the land of milk and honey. Moses knew that Joshua needed to be encouraged to be able to be successful and what he had to do.

Deuteronomy 1:38

“But Joshua the son of Nun, which standeth before thee, he shall  go in thither: encourage him: for he shall cause Israel to inherit it”.

Do you see it, the importance of encouraging one another? Encouragement will certainly bears good fruits!

In the Book of Luke, our Lord too urged His followers to learn to encourage and to strengthen one another:-

Luke 22:32

“But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren”.

So brethren go forth and seek those you can encourage. Share with them a word of encouragement and pray along with them and when you do, the Holy Spirit too will be there with you to lead and guide you! You will be surprised how much this can mean to another believer!

Think On These Things

Think On These Things

Our meditation this morning is taken from Philippians 4:8:-

“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things”.

Notice the instruction given in these words “think on these things”.

Our spoken words are importance. Scripture teaches us always to speak positively. We are what we say according to Isaiah 55:11:

So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it”.

So boldly declare and call forth the things you want. You want to be true, then think on whatsoever things that are true. You want to be honest in your dealings, then think on whatsoever things that are honest. You want to be just, doing all the right things, yes think on these things. Such truths are simple to do and they will change us.

Let consider another scripture in Romans 4:17 which will reinforce what are written in Philippians 4.

“…and calleth those things which be not as though they were”.

Make no mistake, what we think and what we say are both very importance. So brethren do not wait a minute longer, start declaring all that will profit you!

Gratefully Thanking Him

thanks4Gratefully Thanking Him!

Good Morning,

This morning I want to share on the topic of “Gratefully Thanking Him”.

You know I normally do not write on Saturdays but this morning I seem to have this feeling of being so grateful to the Lord that I cannot resist to want to share with you the many things we can gratefully give the Lord our heart-felt thanks for all the things He has done for us. Let’s pray sincerely with a thankful heart:-

Heavenly Father, thank you for taking care of us. Today we ask that you receive our grateful thanks for all these things you did and will  continue to do for us:-

1.First we thank you for your redemption and forgiveness of sinners.

2.Thank you Lord that it is you who put a roof over our head, food on our table and shoes on our feet.

3.We thank you for clothing us just like you clothed Adam and Eve.

4.We thank you for saving us, setting us free from from our bondage.

5.We thank you that each time we have a need, we can trust you for answered prayers.

6.We love the sunshine you give and the rain to cool us and to water our plants.

7.We thank you Lord for the fresh air that we breathe.

8.Truly, you are our daily bread which make us strong even as we feed on your word daily.

9.We thank you too for giving us wisdom to bless our work.

10.When we are not well, you heal us. Your word is medicine to our body.

11.We thank you that we did not have to work for our salvation. It is by your grace that saved us.

12.We thank you that just as you feed the raven, you will also take good care to provide for us. As our provider, we shall never suffer lack.

13.We thank you Lord that everyone will find you when they seek you earnestly with all their heart.

14.We thank you Lord for keeping danger away from us, at home and when we go out.

15.We thank you that we have favour both with You and with our fellow man.

16.We thank you that you not only prosper our work, but you will always enlarge our borders too, wherever we are and whatever we do.

17.We thank you Lord that in you there will always be seed time and harvest. You give us seeds to sow and and seeds to eat.

18.We thank you too that during our harvest we will have grain for food and wine to rejoice in you.

19.We thank you Lord for giving us peace and joy. Truly as your children, we will always be the peacemaker in any situation and place.

20.We thank you Lord that when we are weary, you give us rest and we thank you for multiplying whatever that is in our hand to give and share with others.

21.We thank you Lord that it is you who give us success and promotion in our work and in serving you.

22.Lord we thank for this day you have given us.

Lord, we know you can do exceeding abundantly above all that we can imagine or think and we know that our thought and mind cannot really describe in words what you can do for us. We thank you that you are our everything!

Secret Place

Good Morning

This morning I would like to share on the topic of the “Secret Place” referred in the Psalms 91. Let’s read the scripture:

Psalms 91:1

‘He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty’

Notice this verse begins with the words “secret place” as the object of our dwelling. So where is this “secret place” David was trying to show us? The verse also suggests that when we dwell in this secret place, we would come under His presence, the shadow of the Almighty.

Many writers have referred to it as the ‘Most Holy Place’ referred to in the Bible when God instructed Moses to build the Tabernacle as the dwelling place of God. This is beautiful, suggesting God want to be with His people, yes you and I!

If we are to find that secret place, we have to study the Chapters in Exodus showing us how the Tabernable was put together piece by piece and there I believe God will give you revelation of His words.

You see in Moses’s time, Christ has not yet come to live in us and as God is holy, there has to be, at that time, a system of cleansing, of making sacrifices by the Israelites through their priests  to make atonement for the forgiveness of their sins and transgressions. Aaron was their high priest and each year, he has to go into the Tabernacle from the outer court to the Tabernacle proper where we find the 2 chambers, that is Holy Place and the Holy of Holies. So the Tabernacle has 3 parts (1) Outer Court (2) Holy Place and (3) Most Holy Place.

Here we see the number 3, typifying yes the Trinity of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. Notice that we too are also tripartite, made of spirit soul and body! Yes the wonder and mystery of God! Now remember another three in the statement made by our Lord Jesus “I am the way, the truth and the life”.

So as a type, in our daily walk we need to remember them as we learn to journey from the outer court to the Holy Place and then to enter into the Most Holy Place, typifying His “Secret Place.” We need to fellowship with the Holy Spirit and seek His assistance to enter into His Presence! That’s where we find His Life, the God kind of life!

Remember the many special places mentioned in the Bible about the presence of God:

(1) In the Mount of Transfiguration (Matthew 17:1-3)

Notice in the scripture below that the “Glory of God” was present when Jesus was with Peter, James and John. This could be the secret place referred to.

“And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart,
And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.
And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him.

(2) Jesus baptized in Jordan River (Matthew 3:16-17)

Notice that in this instance the “Heaven” opened and the Father spoke of who Jesus is. This too could be the secret place:

16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:
17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

I venture to say that when we are in the “Secret Place”, we can expect to have the presence of God and to hear His voice speaking to us.

Be blessed

Glory of the Lord

Good Morning,

I always enjoy the presence of the Lord. I have noticed that in meetings whenever believers stayed focused on the Lord, His

Image result for glory of god

presence would saturate and flood the meetings and that’s when we start receiving His words for our edification, encouragement and comfort.

This morning, let’s take a glimpse of this scripture in Exodus 40:33-35:-

33 Then Moses set up the courtyard around the tabernacle and altar and put up the curtain at the entrance to the courtyard. And so Moses finished the work.

34 Then the cloud covered the tent of meeting, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle.

35 Moses could not enter the tent of meeting because the cloud had settled on it, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle.

What a blessing for Moses and the Israelites to experience the presence of the Lord. But notice the words “Moses finished the work” are significant. When we serve God, we have to be faithful and committed to finish any assignment given once we have given our words for it. God always delight in what we do to exalt Him. It was when Moses completed constructing the Tabernacle that God filled them with His Glory.

So, remember, if you want His Presence and His Glory, serve Him faithfully and finish what you have been tasked to do and you will see and experience His Glory and His Majesty and His Splendour!

All Glory to Him!

Understanding the Blood

Understanding the Blood!

I want to share with you more on the power of the Blood of Jesus. I need it and you need it too. The more we “Understand” the benefits of the Blood, the more power the Blood will be to a believer! And that means victory over every evil work of the enemy. It is a simple, yet a very powerful principle.

In this post, I want to share more from the standpoint of the “Benefits” of the Blood of Jesus. Even as we go through the list, something mysterious will happen.  You will find yourself, slowly strengthened as you meditate on each benefit, even as you consume and digest the benefits! That’s because of the “Power” of the blood for as in Leviticus 17:11, we are told that “life” is in the blood. So, it is just like we are being topped up, charged with the battery of life, His life! Amen!

So are you ready to receive this message? Yes you are because the Blood of Jesus is indeed the “heart” of the Bible!

Here is what happened last evening as the Holy Spirit reminded me of the importance to be familiar and conversant with what the Blood has done for us.

Last evening (17.10.2016), after my devotion time with the Lord, I walked into my room to sleep. Just as I was about to step into the room I heard the Holy Spirit said to me “Spend sometime to review the benefits of the Blood of Jesus, why it was shed for us”.

And so I searched and took out my study notes and books to review them. I spent an hour or so to review them and then I went to sleep.

Here I list down 14 benefits, what the Blood can do for us. Of course, there are more. We only have to search the scriptures and we will find them in His time, of course, amen? Diligent has it reward!

Benefits of the precious Blood of Jesus:

1. Redeemed by the blood (Col 1:14, Eph 1:7)
2. Forgiven through His blood (Heb 9:22)
3. Cleansed by His blood (1 John 1:7(
4. Justified by the blood (Romans 5:9)
5. Reconciled with God through the blood (Romans 3:25)
6. Sanctified by the blood(Heb 10:29, Heb 13:12)
7. Boldly enter into the Most Holy Place by the blood (Heb 10:19)
8. Peace with God (Col 1:20)
9. Conscience purged by the blood (Heb 9:14)
10. Sprinkled with the blood (1 Pet 1:2)
11. Healed by the blood (1 Pet 2:24)
12. Overcome the enemy by His blood (Rev 12:11)’
13: Life in the blood (Leviticus 17:11)
14. Blood Speaks better things (Heb 12:24)

And the list goes on…

Authority – Part 2

Authority 4 index       Authority – Part 2!

Good Morning

During prayer this morning I received this word “Authority”.

First let’s take a look at meaning of “Authority” of God through the word power indicated in the scripture in Luke 10:19:-

“19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you”.

In this scripture you will notice the word “Power” has been repeated 2 times.  Each word given as power has been rendered different meanings. Without translation, we will not understand what the scripture really means and therefore would not be able to enforce the power of the Word of God in our prayers.

In the Strong’s Dictionary, the first word “Power” or “Exousia” in Greek has been translated as “Delegated Authority“. The second word “Power” is “Dunamis” in Greek and is translated as “Supernatural Power”.

When translated as indicated, we see that the verse will take a whole new meaning noted below:-

“Behold I have delegated to you “Authority” to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the “Supernatural Power” of the enemy!

Yet through either ignorance or complacency, many believers have often failed  to take authority over the circumstances surrounding them. Take for example, when they fall ill, they failed to immediately take authority over the sickness or disease. Instead they took their prescribed medication and endured the pain. Or when they suffered a financial loss, they failed to take authority over their lack. All these things they did are not wrong but through the Word of God, there is a much better way.  They should pray and start to take “Authority” over their situations and say “In the Name of Jesus, I command every sickness and disease to leave my body” or “In the Name of Jesus, I command the spirit of lack to go. Angels I release you to go forth to make arrangement to bring forth all my needs”.

Now do you see the important of what Authority Jesus has delegated to us through His Name?

So wait no further. If you have a situation, pray and take authority over whatever storm of life that may have affected you. Speak to your situation and command them to go and never return to you. Get them out of your path in the authority you have been given. As believers we can enforce our authority to claim the victory that has rightly been given to us!

Abundant Life

Abundant Life 3-images

Abundant Life!

Good Morning

I was praying early this morning when I received these 2 words “Abundant Life”.

In Christ, we are complete in Him and this is the God Kind of Life that has been given to us to partake in life. Let’s see what the Bible has to say about such a life.  Let’s turn to the scripture in John 10:10:-

“…I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly”

Here Jesus made the contrast of the statement comparing the evil and the good. The evil is from the thief whose motive is always to steal, kill and destroy.  As opposed to this, our Lord has made a promise to give us a life to the full. Yes life more abundantly!

But unfortunately, there are believers, who failing to know the truth, live through life always having “barely” enough for their need. They always hope to have a little bit more. Because they do not study and meditate on the Word of God, they become ignorant of the truth of what God has given them. They therefore suffer needlessly. Worse still, they will often misrepresent God as if He has ceased to be “Jehovah Jireh” the God who supplies all our need according to His riches in Glory by Christ Jesus.!

But God wants to provide for us abundantly and we thank God that for us we can have and live out the abundant life. Let’s consider the meaning of “abundant life”:-

Life :- of the absolute fulness of life, both essential and ethical, which belongs to God, and through him both to the hypostatic “logos” and to Christ in whom the “logos” put on human nature
life real and genuine, a life active and vigorous, devoted to God, blessed, in the portion even in this world of those who put their trust in Christ…
Amen, do you see the description? Our life is real and genuine, a blessed life active and vigorous  and devoted to God.

So Brethren, boldly enter into His Throne of Grace and declare to yourself “Lord I thank you that the scripture says that you are my Provider and according to your promise, I now receive all your provisions for all my need. I will not suffer any lack. You have promised to give me “more” and “abundantly”. Yes your provision for us is always more than enough! Thank you Lord, in Jesus’s Name I pray.

We Shall Inherit

Inherit 2 index

We Shall Inherit!

Good Morning

These 3 words “We Shall Inherit” in Psalm 37 have been repeated several times and apparently they must be very important for them to be repeated.

Bible Teachers have always advanced the theory that, in the study of the Bible, when a scripture is repeated we have to give heed.

And I believe that in the context of the emphasis in this Psalms believers can miss taking full possession of their inheritance to inherit the earth if they are not careful to take notice of this doctrine.

Let’s read them in:-

Psalms 37:8-9
8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.
9 For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.

Here notice that it says anger, wrath, fretting, and unrighteous acts can cut us off from possessing our inheritance.

Psalms 37:11
11 But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.

Here it says believers will inherit an abundance of peace, yes abundance, not some peace. This is the Shalom kind of peace our Lord gave to His people of His Kingdom.

Psalms 37:21-22
21 The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again: but the righteous sheweth mercy, and giveth.

Here “giving” is emphasized. The Bible teaches that a generous person will grow richer and such a person will never lack any good thing. We are also to show mercy and be kind.

Psalms 37:21-22

21 The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again: but the righteous sheweth mercy, and giveth.

22 For such as be blessed of him shall inherit the earth; and they that be cursed of him shall be cut off.

Amen walking in His ways as shown here ensures that we are always blessed of Him. Yes we will not borrow but always able to give, and still have so much more!

Psalms 37:29
29 The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever.

To act righteously allows us to possess our blessing as  promised in scriptures and notice the 2 words “for ever”. What it means is that we believers can go through life always having more than enough, yes always as proclaimed by the scripture. Amen and all Glory Be Unto Him!

Psalms 36:34
34 Wait on the LORD, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it.

Again we are told to give time to wait on the Lord and walk in His ways. Here we are again reminded that in scriptures we are told to know His ways just like what God said of His man of the hour Moses! Certain people only want to know the “acts” of God!

Also it is good to go to the scriptures in Matthew to read the Beattitude to find more ways how we can possess our inheritance!

Knowing the “land of milk and honey” is not enough. We have to learn how to “possess” our rightful inheritance and not allow the enemy to stop us from enjoying our inheritance!

Yes the Righteous shall inherit the earth!

Good Morning

Today we meditate on the word “Understanding”.

Proverbs 24:3 Through wisdom is an house builded; and by understanding it is established:
4 And by knowledge shall the chambers be filled with all precious and pleasant riches.

Beautiful gems in the above Proverbs, isn’t it? If anyone knows what understanding is, it must be King Solomon who wrote most of the Book of Proverbs.

Here in this scripture contains one of the greatest principle for our success in whatever vocation we are in, especially for us believers for lasting blessings.

Notice the order (1) Wisdom (2) Understanding and (3) Knowledge. The 3 are inseparable. They are inclusive and dependable on each other.

We know wisdom simply means being wise. A wise person naturally always seem to do the right thing, make the right decision as opposed to one without wisdom.

It is no wonder that we are asked to pray and seek wisdom, which is the principle thing to desire. And we thank God that as believers we have the wisdom of Christ (1 Corinthians 1:30).

Next is understanding. Having understanding is just like having an expert or scientist, always understanding the mechanics of things, how things operate and works. Such persons will succeed easily in one step and in quicker time while others may take more steps or longer and it can slow down the process, making it very costly!

How blessed we certainly are as believers compared to the world! We are Special to God because the Bible says so that we are precious in His sight.

Next and last is knowledge. This is the last of what a successful person will always have and always do because without knowledge, a person can be limited with just wisdom and understanding. It can only take that person up to a certain position and the growth stop. We know that with increase in knowledge we can understand and do things much easier and faster. If we do not make effort to increase knowledge, it can be detrimental to a business when it start to slow down, failing to make further growth, all because of the lack of knowledge. In the Bible, we are taught to be diligent in our study, not only to have more knowledge of the scriptures but also to study for increased knowledge of whatever applicable to our work. More knowledge plus the favour of God is a very good combination, isn’t it?

So it is necessary to pray daily for an increase in all 3 (Read Ephesians 1 below). Paul taught that we ought to pray ceaselessly for wisdom and revelation.

So we see how important the word understanding is for one to have and in increasing measure. All 3 are needed of course, wisdom, understanding and knowledge.

Now for today’s thought, let’s now consider Psalms 111:10

“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.”

So fear is the key to acquire wisdom and of course “understanding”. That’s why the Bible in Psalms and Proverbs keep reminding us to walk in the fear of the Lord. In the Bible, the word “Fear” holds a different meaning. In Strong’s Dictionary, “Fear” means a moral and reverent fear of God. It has no connection at all with the word “afraid”. When we respect and honour God in our daily walk, we want to be true to His words. We want live out the words according to His ways and not the ways of this fallen world. That’s what it means to have the fear of the Lord.

As mentioned in Ephtesians 1:15-19 we need to pray daily for an increase in the measure for wisdom as well as to ask for our understanding to be “enlightened”. Here’s Ephesians 1:15-19:-

15 Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints, 16 Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers; 17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: 18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, 19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power.

Now pray to receive His wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him and for your understanding to be enlightened.

Be blessed

Sharing The Gospel

Good Morning

Matthew 24:14  And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

In the scripture above, Matthew, a disciple of Jesus, taught that the Gospel must be shared in all the world.

I remember I began sharing the gospel immediately I became a believer more than 30 years ago. I was never limited in sharing the good news with people I know, first my family, relatives, friends and colleagues. And I shared them even during lunch break, everywhere, in season and out of season.

I remember I regularly prayed for friends to receive Jesus even while having our meals, really quite an adventure doing the work of the Kingdom!

Now let me share one such exploit of an event some 4 years ago, about my sharing the gospel. In my work place I had a new colleague, seated next to me. He was a 70 + elderly man who needed a job as he still has his wife and a nephew to support.

Inevitably I because his friend very quickly and yes I wasted no time in sharing the gospel with him. But in the beginning, it appeared an impossible task! Why, you ask me?

You see, he told me that he was not a believer and “could never be a Christian” because he gave the story that he was the only son left in the family with the sole task of carrying on the legacy of praying to his family ancestors. So his was a really tough case to share the gospel.

But I was patient. I have tasted the thrill of sharing the gospel with anyone I encounter (should an opportunity arises) and I knew the Word of God would always prevail, the Gospel, the power of God! So after giving him a Bible, I started my evangelism and praise God, very quickly he surrendered to Jesus and was saved!

We then invited him to the Christian Fellowship Meetings we have each week during the lunch break in the market place as well as the morning prayer meetings we have each morning before we start work in the work place. And yes, very soon he also received the Holy Spirit and started to pray in tongues. What a joy to see him receiving Jesus in the dawn of his life.

I remember the day I started the evangelism. I had made an appointment to take him to a Church. He was staying in Bukit Batok and to make it more convenient, I agreed to pick him up and bring him to Church. I went with my wife to pick him up at the appointed time at 6.00 pm. But on that day we some how lost our way and ended up in an unknown dirt road in a secluded track in Woodlands! Some more, it was then raining heavily (the rain just suddenly started and very heavy) with lightling and thunder and therefore we really had a difficult time to find our way. It was as if his god was putting up an objection.

But thanks be to God, we finally make it to Church at around 8 pm. Imagine a 2 hours journey which would normally take a 20 minute journey to go there.

Eventually I found an AOG Church for him to attend with his wife. The Church was near his home.

So you see, witnessing is really like a package, a complete package from start to end, seeing to it, where possible, to get a new convert to grow in the Lord through services, Bible lessons and regularly fellowship!

“He said he was the only one left in his family to continue their ancestor worship but in the end JESUS is better and greater for him!.

All praise and glory be to God!

After about 6 months working with us he left because of his health and age.

Yes it was a divine appointment when he came to work with us 4 years ago! God knew, isn’t it? Then he left us with the gospel.

So brethren, do not stop witnessing, it is a command that we need to share the gospel wherever and whenever there is an opportunity!

Generous Spirit!

Reap abundant index  Good Morning

This morning let’s meditate on giving and this I mean giving “generously”.

When a believer has a generous spirit, he will be loved by all, and most importantly, by the Lord Himself. Let’s see what the Bible has to say in 2 Corinthians 9:-

“6 But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.”

In verse 6,  we are encouraged to be “generous” in our giving.

“7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver”.

Yes make no mistake, God loves a cheerful giver, not one who does it reluctantly!

“8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work”

Fulfilling this command to give has a promise from the Lord that He will bless us, to see to it that we are abundantly provided, to ensure that we always have more than enough. Amen!

Another wonderful scripture that a believer must have a cheerful heart in his giving is in:-

Deuteronomy 15:10 “Thou shalt surely give him, and thine heart shall not be grieved when thou givest unto him: because that for this thing the LORD thy God shall bless thee in all thy works, and in all that thou puttest thine hand unto.”

So when we give generously with a good heart, we do it because our Father Himself is a generous giver, giving us His one and only begotten Son to us! So we imitate Him to be generous. Amen?

Today therefore I encourage us that we begin our day to obey his command to be generous in in our words and actions, in saying thank you at every opportunity, in our greetings, and give to meet a need generously! Because God Himself will be pleased!

Thy Rod and Thy Staff

Thy Rod and Thy Staff!

Psalms23   Good Morning

Our meditation this am is taken from:-

Psalms 23:4
“4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.”

Most of us would have recited this Psalms daily for comfort and trust in our Mighty God.
Our focus today is in verse 4 with these words “Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.”

The Lord wants us to remember Him today as our Shepherd. As His sheep, we hear His voice speaking to us to lead and guide us. As our Shepherd He wants us to know that He would care for us as a true Shepherd would do.

In verse 4, we are asked not to fear for His “Rod” and “Staff”, they will comfort us and therefore let’s consider how the rod and staff make us safe in the hands of a Shepherd.
I have an image to give you a little idea what they look like and how a Shepherd uses them!

We see that a staff is a long stick with a hook at the end, used to guide the sheep back to the flock whenever one strays.
So spiritually, we know the good Shepherd would use His staff to lead a believer back when such a person strays away. That’s why scriptures keep reminding us to give first importance to prayers meetings, gathering together to study and pray together, allow the Lord’s Rod and staff to comfort us. Whenever I am in such a meeting, I have greater peace and love for Him! You too must have such experience, isn’t it?

As to the “Rod” it is a short stick made in the share of a “club” so that we can defend ourselves from the attack of the enemy. David used it to club the lion and bear to death!

So brethren, trust our great Shepherd. He has given you His Staff and Rod for your safety!
Let’s remember He wants us by His side, within range of the Staff. We too have His Rod in our hands. Let’s use it to club the devil for our safety and stay a conqueror of lions and bears as David did!

Everlasting to Everlasting

Everlasting To Everlasting!

El Olam index  Good Morning

Today let’s be encouraged by these words from Jude:-

“Jude 24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy”

As partakers of His inheritance, we are indeed greatly blessed.

Jude here declared that we should never be fearful that the Lord will leave us, no matter what situation we may be in. If we have our focus and keep our eyes on Him, He is able to keep us.

In Isaiah 40:28, he posed this question to us:-

“Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary?”

Sometimes when we are tired and weary, we can be negative. When something happened, we would ask “why Lord?”

But Isaiah said this:- “do not fear, do not be fretful, have you not known that He is from Everlasting to Everlasting!”

So today go forth and be encouraged brethren, God will not faint, neither is He weary for He is the Everlasting God that will never leave or forsake us! He will keep us.

The Best Medicine

The Best Medicine

“Proverbs 4:22 For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh”

Best Medicine  Good Morning

This is my Testimony on the awesome power of the Word of God. I love the Bible and I want to thank and praise the Lord for His goodness, care and love for me and my family by ministering to us through His words!

Last week I went to see my family doctor for giddiness, my first experience after enjoying good health for years. Dr Cheng recommended that I should have another health screen as the last time I had the screen was some 2 years ago. And so I did.

Last Saturday I collected my medical health screen report and Dr Cheng gave me the good news that in spite of my age, going 71 soon, I am getting better, stronger than ever!

Best Medicine2images  Dr Cheng said:-

“Chris there is nothing wrong with you.Your blood, liver, urine and heart are good. Your pressure is also very good. Only one thing you need to take care, not to indulge in too much rich food. Your cholesterol is a little high.”

Those were sweet words to my ears! And another wonderful news from the doctor is this. I used to be a bit low on hemoglobin which was shown at the last test, but now my hemoglobin level is shown to be normal.  Previously on the doctor’s recommendation, I took the iron supplement but in any event, I took it for a short while as I often forgot about it.

But now after hearing the good report, I have no further issue of having to take the iron supplement. Instead I now have God’s word as my daily supplement, as my cure and medicine to my body.

Because it is powerful and effective, I definitely will continue to read and meditate on the word. So I hope by reading this, you too can experience the power of His word. Amen, all Glory and Praise be to the Lord our God!

I really am still amazed at how powerful the Word of God is and how it can make us healthy and strong, just by simply reading and believing them. And another thing, it is totally free as quoted in Isaiah 55:1-2.

Yes, to learn from reading the Bible is one thing but to actually experience the word for ourselves is another thing altogether!

Now let’s quickly read the amazing scriptures in Proverbs 4:22:-

20 My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.
21 Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.
22 For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.

Notice verse 22? The word “health” is literally translated as either “cure” or “medicine” in the Strong’s Dictionary.

Yes, brethren, you too can experience the power of His word. So, let’s keep meditating on His Word. It is the best medicine?

Still Waters

Still Waters!

Good Morning

Psalms 23:2He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters”

Today I want to share on the topic of “Still Waters” taken from Psalms 23:2. This verse speaks of waters that are “Still” as opposed to the churning of sea waters. Similarly, a person can either be still and calm or nervous and excited depending on the circumstances or situation he is in.

Psalms 23 speaks of the Lord as our Shepherd watching over the flock under His care. As our Shepherd we can put our trust in Him to lead and guide us. As indicated in verse 2, it is the Lord’s desire to lead us to a place of comfort beside the still waters. He wants us to stay calm by leading us beside the still waters, to rest and relax so that we can enjoy peace of mind.

It is the stillness of the waters that will cause believers to be calm and relax, just like when they are seated beside a lake on a day when the weather is calm to enjoy a weekend picnic with family and friends. As believer we seek peace in mind, spirit, soul and body and we will find them in the Lord as we allow Him to lead us. In John 14:27 we see that we can truly have his peace when he declared the following words to us:

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Yes, it is from the Lord that we receive His peace, not as the world gives! This is the peace that the world cannot give nor money can buy.  It is the “Shalom” peace that only a believer can enjoy and rest in it. It is the God kind of peace that can truly keep us calm and still. Amen!

On weekend, I often go to enjoy the quietness of a reservoir near my home. I go there for light tackle fishing, not so much to catch fish but simply to relax after a week’s work. At such times, I would see people young and old seated quietly beside the still waters having a quiet family get-together.

That’s when they can get away from the hustle and bustle of city life to enjoy some quietness.

Dear friends, if you are seeking peace and quietness, ask the Lord to lead you beside the still waters. It need not be a physical thing like a river and lake. All you need is to be in focus to stay calm and quiet and learn to separate yourself from the crowd but go to a quiet place like a park when you can find your peace.

Let me share an experience. Once, I was with a few friends out at sea near Pulau Bukom, the oil refining island about 4 to 5 miles off the coast of Singappore. We were enjoy fishing with the waters remaining quiet and calm. It was hardly moving, the surface reflecting happily as the sun shone on it. But then suddenly we could see foams of waves approaching from a distance towards us and through experience, we knew a storm had arisen. Within minutes, the waters around us were churning and our boat began to rock. A storm had arisen and we quickly moved nearer to take shelter behind an Island.

In scriptures, we see waters can be dangerous, when they moved fast and when they thunder and roar as the seas were churned by raging winds. In Psalms 106:10-11, we are shown how the rising waters covered the enemies of God’s people and destroyed them all:-

“10 And he saved them from the hand of him that hated them, and redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.

11 And the waters covered their enemies: there was not one of them left.

David said in the scripture “He leadeth me beside the still waters”. Friends, today the Lord is saying to you to allow Him to lead you with his Peace.  If you are facing a storm of any kind, just call to the Lord and say “Lord, I receive your Shalom Peace. Remove this storm that I am facing and lead me right now beside the quiet water. Lead me beside the still waters.  Let the storm pass and let your peace come.”

His Strength

His Strength!

Strength  Good Morning

In whatever we do each day we need strength. In weakness, nothing get done; we are too weak to go out, we are to weak to work, we are to weak, yes, even to put our thoughts together.

In 2 Corinthians 12:9 Apostle Paul said that it was God’s strength that enabled him to carry on the work of the Gospel.  In himself, he was weak and it was when he accepted his state of weakness that he found strength:-

“My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”

Whenever we struggle, we are using our own strength. This morning, let’s ask the Lord to give us His strength. Say, Lord in you I have strength. In you I shall be strong!

In Psalms 27:1, we are told that God is our Strength:-
… the LORD is the strength of my life;..

Yes He is our salvation. He is our Strength! Oh isn’t He our everything?

Thank you Lord, you are the Strength of my life. You too are my Abundance. In you we are are abundantly blessed,

Now many time when He gives us His Strength, we can say, Lord, I still do not seem to have joy. How can I be happy, when there is so much to do, so much to put them right? Oh then turn to Nehemiah and let His words increase your strength.

Nehemiah 8:9 “And Nehemiah, which is the Tirshatha, and Ezra the priest the scribe, and the Levites that taught the people, said unto all the people, This day is holy unto the LORD your God; mourn not, nor weep. For all the people wept, ‘when they heard the words of the law.”

Yes today is holy, weep not, mourn not, let His words strengthen you.

10Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.

Now read verse 10 above. It says the “Joy” of the Lord is our solution?

So if you are weary and weak, start to rejoice in the Lord! Sing your favourite hymn “Rejoice in the Lord always…”

Yes it is His word, the Joy of the Lord is our Strength! When we rejoice in Him for all that He has done, strength seems to manifest itself. If has happened to me and I am sure you will too!

So rejoice today, come rain or shine!

Let God Arise

Let God Arise!

Heavenlyplaces  Good Morning

At breakfast I was fellowshipping with the Lord. I was having my breakfast and at the same time, I turned on my tablet to listen to some scriptures as was my daily practice. I always enjoy natural bread with the Living Bread. Then I heard these words “the enemies be scattered”. I turned to Psalms 68 and verse 1 says:-

Psalms 68:1
“Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered”

As I walked to the bus stop I asked the Holy Spirit, “What do you mean dear Holy Spirit?” And this is what He explained:-

When I arise, I want you to arise with me. My word says “you are seated with me in the heavenly places”. And by faith you can arise with me and all your enemies will be scattered! They cannot arise with you because I am with you. They have to flee. Poverty, lack, sickness, disease, stress, cares and worries, weakness, sadness, they cannot arise with you. When they see me, they are afraid and they scatter before me. They scatter in 7 directions!

Wow, isn’t the Lord a Great and Mighty God, caring and loving? Amen.

So today what are the things that are troubling you. Leave them behind? Then arise with Him and let your enemies be scattered!

Yes as the scripture in Ephesians 1 says, we are seated with Him in the heavenly places:-

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ”.

Precious In His Sight

precious4Good Morning

We are precious in His sight

The Lord declared through Prophet Isaiah these words:-

4 Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life.

Because we are precious to Him, we can fully trust Him no matter the circumstance or situation! Let’s read 43:1-2 how He will help His people:-
1But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.
2When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

Oh this is awesome, God specially formed us like a piece of  art. He too redeemed us through the sacrifice of His only begotten Son, not the sacrifice of any ordinary man! Then He said He call us by names. Oh that’s very personal!

So today know this: We believe and worship a God who is interested in everything we do. That’s why He calls  you and I “Precious”!

Increase More And More

Good Morning

Psalms 115:
“14 The LORD shall increase you more and more, you and your children”.

This is a wonderful promise of God to us – to increase us more and more! But unfortunately many are not increasing more and more either because of lack of knowledge of the scriptures or because they fail to ask. The Bible teaches that we receive not because we ask not! James 4:2 says:-

“…yet ye have not, because ye ask not”

So it is important that we remember to start the day with the confession of the promises of God and start asking!

But apart from asking, we need also to sow.  Let’s read Genesis 26:12:-

12 Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the Lord blessed him”. Yes, we shall “increase more and more” even a hundred times over, as we sow according to His promise!.

So let’s ask:-

Father we thank you for your Peace in our home and at work. Your shalom peace will “increase more and more” for us.

We thank you for harmony in our family and home. As each day come, harmony shall continue to “increase more and more“.

We thank you for health. By the stripes of Jesus, we declare that we have been healed and made whole. Our health shall “increase more and more”.

We thank you too for wealth which you promise to transfer from sinners to us, your children. This is our inheritance from you. We therefore declare that wealth shall increase more and more” in our family.

We thank you too that we shall “increase more and more” in the knowledge of Jesus and your word. Truly you are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider, the God who supply all our needs according to your riches in Glory by Christ Jesus!.

Delight In The Lord (2)

delight3Good Morning
Delight In The Lord – I usually do not write a  message during weekends but this morning these words keeps ringing in my ears:-
“When you delight in me, I will meet your every need and desire”.
So I look up this familiar scripture in Psalms 37. Let’s read from verse 3-5:-
Psalms 37:
3 Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.
In this verse, the Lord wants us to trust Him and when we do, He knows that we will do all the good things. Doing them, our fruit is that we get to dwell in His secret place, where His provision abounds.
Amen, what a blessing to trust and do good!
4 Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
Yes this is the word for the day! We first delight in Him, in every circumstance and situation. Things we do, praise Him in the morning, praise Him in the night and we start seeing things turn around favouring us. We are in the best place in the queue, we get the best bargains and everything seems so convenient whereas for others they get inconvenience all the time!
What a blessing to be in such a situation where everything shines so brightly!
Let me share some experiences. Everyday going to work and going home, I always, most times, had the traffic light appearing ‘green’ for me to cross, without having to stand waiting like others. It is the convenience given by the Lord! Another time, I received a ticket notice for wrongful parking. I shared this before.  I was having dinner during the weekend and I parked my car in the usual place, just like others. When I returned I found a ticket and I knew the parking Officer was there. Within the week, I received a summons with a fine of $70.00. I was wrong and so I prayed and repented. Then a few days later, they sent me a letter to say the fine had been withdrawn with a reminder to be more careful when parking.
Yes that’s the favour of God operating when we are pleasing to the Lord!
5 Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.
Wow, this verse in this Psalms, promises our success when we commit everything to Him, allowing Him to organize and plan our success.
Truly, let’s get excited! Let’s start Praising Him and see Him meeting the desires of our hearts!
Be blessed

Good Morning

We are seeking the Truth.

This morning let’s meditate on a few scriptures why we need to read the Bible.  In John 8:32, we are taught that if we find the truth and not lie we can be free.  Yes all the freedom from the bondage of all evil forces containing false truths that lead to death.  Here in the book of John, Jesus himself said that we can be free if we know the truth:-

“John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free”.

Certainly we may have great knowledge of the Bible but it is the truth that we must seek to know and believe because for each truth that we know “we can be set free” from that particular problem or circumstance.

In John 10:10  our Lord Jesus himself said only through Him can He give us a life that is wholesome and complete. The word life means the Zoe life, meaning the “God kind of life” which is inclusive of every good thing the world seeks to find – Wealth, health and prosperity is but to name a few…The world cannot give us this kind of living.  Instead, we see people often feeling lost and confused and all these situations they face simply because they do not know the truth as revealed in the scriptures, the word of God.

images.jpg-truth 4

“John 10:10…I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly”.

Now whether in doing business or our work, we definitely need to know the path, direction we ought to take and His word will guide and lead us to doing just the right thing at the right time and in the right place! Amen.

“Psalms 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path”

Amen, let God’s word guide and lead us to the truth and let’s continue to share with each other whenever a truth is revealed by the Holy Spirit, our Great Teacher!

As God’s children we have the freedom!

Be blessed

A New Thing

A New Thing!

images.jpg-new thing

Good Morning

I received these 3 words this early this morning during my devotion time:-

A New Thing

And I think this is what the Holy Spirit is saying to many of you through Isaiah 43:18-9:-

18 Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.
19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

Whether you begin a endeavor, a new job or a new ministry, the scripture is asking that we must not look back but forward. Yes we may have obtained success in the past but in doing a new ministry, we need to give our full focus to this new work we are called to do.

The scripture goes on to encourage us that God will make a new way in the wilderness for us where there may seem to be no way. A way even in the wilderness is clearly suggesting to us that with God, “all things are possible”.

So boldly we move on, go forward, not looking back to past failures but just focus and look ahead assuredly of this “New Thing” He is calling you and I to do!

Overcoming Blood of Jesus

Overcoming Blood of Jesus!

Overcoming Blood

Good Morning

Today I want to share on the “Overcoming Blood of Jesus”.

I have posted several messages on the Blood of Jesus but this message will show you why it is important to apply the Blood for our protection and this has to be done on a daily basis, without which we expose ourselves and family to the attack of the enemy.

The scripture in Revelation 12:11 says we overcome satan and all his evil works by the Blood of Jesus! A few days back I share a message on “Total Protection through the Blood of Jesus”. The next thing we must to do is to apply the Blood; the Apostle St Peter called it the “sprinkling” of the Blood.

You see, you need to, and you must sprinkle the blood on everything you own, apart from applying it on your family, and this must be done daily, morning and night, and as often as you want to during the day when a prayer needs to be made. Or wherever you feel threatened and needed protection.

That’s why it is so important to plead the Blood, when you are going for a trip or holiday overseas! You will remember reading news how traffic fatal car accidents happened to some believers while holidaying abroad! You see, whenever there is a cause there is also a reason, so declared the Bible.

Only recently, we read how a group of believers had an unfortunate accident in Johore near Kota Tinggi. All were killed except for a young boy. What a sad tragic event. I wonder if they remembered to plead the blood before they started to drive?

The sprinkling of the Blood was first taught in the book of Exodus. If you read 12:23, you will understand what I am saying.

Here’s the scripture:-

Exodus 12:21-23

“21 Then Moses called for all the elders of Israel, and said unto them, Draw out and take you a lamb according to your families, and kill the passover.
22 And ye shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the bason, and strike the lintel and the two side posts with the blood that is in the bason; and none of you shall go out at the door of his house until the morning.
23 For the LORD will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he seeth the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, the LORD will pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you”.

Now pay attention to what is said in verse 23:-

This is what He was saying…

….when I see the blood on the door (all sides)
….I will pass over the door into your house
….I will not allow the destroyer to enter your house

Do you see the meaning in the above scriptures?

It says when the Lord see the Blood on your doorpost, He knows that a lamb had been sacrificed and that you are a believer of this truth and He will honour you by going into your house to protect you and your family.

That’s why the scripture says that the Lord will not allow the devil to enter your house to harm you!

So believe in the power of the Blood and start applying the Blood for all your needs and prayers.

I call the Blood of Jesus poured out for us, the most powerful weapon in the world and Universe!

Be blessed

In this message, I am going share a topic on “HOW TO HAVE TOTAL PROTECTION”  from any evil work assigned against you by using powerful scriptures to pray.

The Bible teaches many weapons of warfare believers can use to protect themselves. In 2 Corinthians 10:4 we read the following scripture:

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:

(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)

Casting down imaginations, and every hiygh thing that exalteth itselwor toe of Christ;

Here the scripture shows us clearly that we can use spiritual weapons to pull down strong holds set up by evil spirits and the principal method is to use scriptures to pray to pull them down. The scriptures in the Bible reveal to us the finished work of our Lord Jesus Christ. The Word of God is one weapon we can use. The Bible calls it the “Sword of the Spirit”. Another powerful weapon is the “Name of Jesus”. When this Name is used, every knee must bow and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord.

There is another very powerful weapon we can use. I call it the “Atomic Power” of God. This is the “Blood of Jesus” as written in the Bible in Revelation 12:11And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death“.  To use the Blood of Jesus to pray, we must first know and understand what the “Blood of Jesus” can do for God’s children. We must know why the Son of God, the Lord Jesus Christ, had to pour out His Precious “Blood” for us. Once we understand them, we must next take an important action, and I repeat a “very” important action to apply the Blood on ourselves, our family and all our possessions to keep the evil forces away! I have read about how believers, Church Leaders, and even Pastors, lost their lives and possession, simply because they failed to know, understand the “Power Of The Blood Of Jesus” and take action to apply, the Precious Blood, on themselves, their family, their homes, their businesses and work, and their possessions.  They suffered such losses unnecessarily because of their lack of knowledge of the scriptures regarding the teachings on the Power of the Blood of Jesus!

Spiritual weapons therefore is the principal way showing believers “How to have total protection”.

Another important thing believers must pay attention when reading the Bible is to pay attention to the past and present tense of the scriptures.  How many believers know the difference between Isaiah 53:5 and 1 Peter 2:24.  The “SECRET” I have discovered is that three (3) little words (which believers can miss if they did not pay attention to them) in each of these 2 scriptures.  Let me clarify as follows:-

But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes “we are healed”.  Here the 3 words are “we are healed”.

1 PETER 2:24

24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. Here the 3 words are “we were healed”.

Do you notice the difference between the 2 scriptures, one from the Old Testament and one from the New Testament?

Let me explain further:-

Notice the word “are” used in the Old Testament and the word were” used in the New Testament!  Do you now see the huge difference?

You see, in Isaiah’s time, the Messiah was prophesied to arrive one day in the Future. Therefore the word “are” was used to point to a future date!

In St Peter’s time, Apostle Peter used the word “were” to point to the past, meaning our healing has already taken place, on the body of our Lord Jesus Christ when His body was hung on the Cross.

Yes, amen and amen, by His stripes we were healed!

Now you see the big difference, isn’t it? So the next time you pray for healing, say:-

“Thank you Lord, by your stripes, we were healed because Lord you gave us our healing now for today by taking upon yourself all our sicknesses and diseases.  That is why you show us in Galatians 3:13-14 (see below) that by taking the curse upon yourself,  we, your children can partake of the healing and wholeness for ourselves, spirit soul and body”.

13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

I trust you now are able to see the difference between the same scripture, one quoted in the Old and one quoted in the New.  This is how accurate the Bible can be if we take time to read, study and meditate on the scriptures.

So, go on to read up, study and meditate on all the scriptures revealing to us about the great awesome “Power” of the precious Blood of Jesus.

Be blessed
