The Word of God

3 Feb

THE WORD OF GOD -All of us, as Christians believe that we must obey the “Word of God”. So what exactly is the meaning of the definition of the “Word of God”? Is it the whole Bible? Or is it part of the Bible? What did Jesus refer to as the “Word of God”? As believers, we must have a clear understanding of this definition, and this is exactly why I am proposing that we let the Bible speak for itself as to what truly is the “Word of God” based on the scriptures contained in the Bible

To Make the Right Decision – It also has many guidelines for building good spiritual habits and characters. Psalms also provide good guidelines to assist believers to do the right thing, that is to say “To make the Right Decision”, the title for today’s topic.

30 Dec

It is God’s Will to give you long life with no added sorrow to your years on earth? Clearly it means that when we want to live longer to serve Him, God can increase our age so that more can be done. Needless to say the extended years are given for the completion of His plans and purposes assigned to believers.

written in Genesis 2:10-14. These rivers are the Rivers of God but hidden in the scriptures are nuggets of blessing all children of God can receive when they discover the true meaning of each river.

It would seem that God created a great river to water the garden when He put both Adam and Eve. Both of them had been tasked to take care of the garden. With the water of life flowing into the garden to water it, it brought fruitfulness to the trees from which the fruits became food for both Adam and Eve.

5 Aug

One early morning as I was meditating on the scriptures, suddenly my thought became awakened to the words “We Are More Than Conquerors”. I knew this would be the message I was to share for the day with my forum members and it is going to be extremely exciting.

20 Jul

This morning I am going to share with you how to make effective prayer by sharing with you 2 testimonies how I overcame growths coming upon me.

Effective Prayer – Some 2 years ago I was bothered by a little growth on the skin on my back. It started to appear small and it did not bother me. But when it grew larger, like the size of a cyst (it was soft and painful to press) I began to wage a prayer warfare.

We all want to be successful, to prosper in the market place and at home. So what is the secret?
If that’s what you are seeking, look no further, the answer is in the Bible which reveals God’s “Secrets of Success” to enable anyone believing in Him to prosper and be successful. By successful, it will mean to be successful and be filled with all the goodness of God, to feel his love and have joy to the fullest.

18 Jul

yesterday evening while meditating on the word, the Lord impressed upon me to share on His greatness, that His Name is U N L I M I T E D. Amen do you see how Job saw God? Yes we serve a God who is U N L I M I T E D. We serve a God that has no limit. He is IMMEASURABLE. We cannot know the deep things of God, He is higher and larger than we can think or imagine Him. He is wider than the seas and and longer that the earth.

GOD’S NSTRUCTION MANUAL – You know when we buy something to enjoy like a bicycle, computer games and the like, or even hobby toys, there will always be available an “Instruction Manual” to show us the “How To”. Without it, the things will become of no benefit to us.

Creative Power of the Word of God

11 May

Our words have creative power.

Our words are important to us and others as well. We can have what we speak.
It is therefore good that we avoid unwholesome words. Instead we should speak the Promises of God into ourselves. According to Job 22:28 what we speak will be established for us. Let’s see what it actually says:

Job 22:28
Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.

CREATIVE POWER OF OUR WORDS – The word used in this verse for saying something is a powerful word “Decree” used in the Court of Justice. It refers to a Judgement signed by a Judge for the decree to be carried out for whosoever it has been decreed.

Weapons of Warfare

19 Mar

Weapons of Warfare – We see here that Apostle Paul made it very clear that our “Weapons of Warfare” is never natural but powerful spiritual weapons. Similarly the devil together with followers of different spiritual entities want to defeat believers with their own set of spiritual weapons. They build strongholds to grip Christians to thwart their growth. They invade their minds with all kinds of evils and thoughts to cause them to have vain imaginations to bring about distress and discontentment thereby imprisoning them. Notice that there is not just a stronghold but many strongholds, imaginations and thoughts, all plural.

Witnessing Testimony

2 Mar

Let me share with you 2 testimonies regarding my classmates I met after leaving school.

After our O level in St Patrick’s, 10 of us continue to meet monthly on Saturdays for lunch fellowship. This will be our 50th anniversary of friendship meeting together, sometimes with our spouses as well. Sadly 2 of them went before their time, but praise be to God for their salvation at the 11th hour. God’s timing is perfect when we are willing to witness for Him.

Wonderful Things

2 Mar

Wonderful Things – When I got up this morning, I was thanking God for another new day that He has made for me when the Word “Wonderful” came from Him.

Why was He saying that today for I know that God is always good and as believers we should always expect His goodness each and every day? Perhaps it is a reminder, perhaps He is telling us to expect “wonderful things” from Him today. Like Isaiah perhaps we should adopt a stance like Him in Isaiah 25:1 when He said:

Intimacy With God

27 Oct

Over the weekend I have been reminded repeatedly of the these (3) words “Intimacy With God” as if the Holy Spirit was reminding me to draw even closer to Him. You see, it is my regular practice to spend time praying more and more in His presence. I always enjoy the quiet evening fellowship with the Holy Spirit, after a day’s work. At the Resurrection Sunday Service this morning, the Holy Spirit again reminded me to look into this topic. I have therefore been meditating on these three (3) words.

Shield of Faith

27 Oct

This morning I want to share with you on the above topic “Shield of Faith”.
And how do we protect ourselves from these attacks? Yes, we need to take up our “Shield of Faith” to stop the fiery darts. Now shall we go to Chapter 6 of Ephesians and read starting from verses 10 to 16 (paying attention to verse 16)

3 Oct

Good Morning

Have you meditated on the word “BECAUSE” appearing 3 times in Psalms 91?

As usual I was reading Psalms 91 during my morning devotion time when my attention was drawn to the word “BECAUSE”. It would appear that the Holy Spirit was revealing the many blessings to be had when we diligently attend to the instructions given therein.

Another New Day

21 Sep

ANOTHER NEW DAY! – Good Morning
We are always grateful for what we receive each day from the Lord.
Today is no different – it is another new day and we want to thank Him for another new day added to our days on earth. Beloved, just think how privilege you are as believers. There are others who are not so privileged, those with difficult issues facing them, especially those who are terminally ill and who would give anything to see another new day. Let’s now meditate on today’s scripture text:-

Good Ground

26 Mar

Good Ground – Good Morning

Today let’s study the Bible to see what exactly is called “Good Ground”.

A good place to start is in Luke 8 where the Lord delivered a sermon on the parable of the sower and in the following verses from 8:12-15, He explained the 3 types of grounds that the words are received.

We are told first that the seed is the word of God.

A 1000 Times More

24 Mar

A 1000 Times More – This morning I invite you to enjoy a great feast in the word of God and I will share with you a great and awesome scripture which can greatly change you when you learn how to treat God’s words. If you do that, you position yourself to receive His blessing, not just a 100 folds but more than that, yes much much more: “A 1000 Times More”.

Are you ready receive? Let’s start with the parable of the sower reading verse 20 of Mark 4.

Power To Decree

4 Feb

Power To Decree!
This morning, I would to share on the believer’s “Power To Decree”. God’s Words are powerful. They contain the miraculous power of God to create. In Greek, the word power has been described as “miraculous power, might and strength”.

He First Loved Us

30 Jan

He first loved us – Early this morning as I left home for work, I received these words “You love me because I first loved you”.
When the lift hit the ground floor, the lift door opened and the Holy Spirit impressed upon me the words found in 1 John 4:19. It seems to me that the Lord is beckoning us to go back to His first love, a gentle reminder for us not to be caught up in our daily work. And this is especially so this year where workers are expected to work harder than before in the light of the poorer forecast of the economy.

The Lord Is My Portion

29 Jan

“The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him”.
For believers, in Christ every day is a new day. We begin the day seeing His Hand upon us in everything we do. We expect good things coming our way because God is good all the time. We therefore see nothing but all the good that is upon us and our family. The Bible declares that we are heirs of salvation, heirs of His inheritance. Yes how then can there be lack when we believe Him as Jehovah Jireh, our Provider?”The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him”.

Encouragement : Good Morning

How often do you gather together with believers.

In the Bible, we are taught to encourage one another. There are many instructive words on “one another”. Paul always encourage his disciples to gather together to pray and to encourage one another.

This is truly important. Let’s one example in Deuteronomy 1. Here we read the story of God asking Joshua to be strong in order to take possession of Canaan, the land of milk and honey. Moses knew that Joshua needed to be encouraged to be able to be successful and what he had to do.

Think On These Things

25 Jan

Think On These Things – Our meditation this morning is taken from Philippians 4:8:-

“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things”.

Notice the instruction given in these words “think on these things”.

Gratefully Thanking Him

27 Dec

Gratefully Thanking Him –
This morning I want to share on the topic of “Gratefully Thanking Him”.

You know I normally do not write on Saturdays but this morning I seem to have this feeling of being so grateful to the Lord that I cannot resist to want to share with you the many things we can gratefully give the Lord our heart-felt thanks for all the things He has done for us. Let’s pray sincerely with a thankful heart:-

Secret Place

27 Dec

Secret Place
This morning I would like to share on the topic of the “Secret Place” referred in the Psalms 91. Let’s read the scripture:

Psalms 91:1
‘He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty’
Notice this verse begins with the words “secret place” as the object of our dwelling. So where is this “secret place” David was trying to show us? The verse also suggests that when we dwell in this secret place, we would come under His presence, the shadow of the Almighty.

Authority – Part 2

22 Aug

Authority-Part 2 – During prayer this morning I received this word ” Authority”. First let’s take a look at the scripture in Luke 10:19:-

“19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you”.

In this scripture you will notice the word “Power” has been repeated 2 times. Each word given as power has been rendered different meaning. Without translation, we will not understand what the scripture really means and therefore would not be able to enforce the power of the Word of God.

In the Strong’s Dictionary, the first word “Power” or “Exousia” in Greek has been translated as “Delegated Authority”. The second word “Power” is “Dunamis” in Greek and is translated as “Supernatural Power”.

Abundant Life

20 Aug

Abundant Life – Good Morning
I was praying early this morning when I received from these 2 words “Abundant Life”.
In Christ, we are complete in Him and this is the God Kind of Life that has been given to us to partake in life. Let’s see what the Bible has to say about such a life. Let’s turn to the scripture in John 10:10:-

“…I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly”

We Shall Inherit

17 Aug

Good Morning – These 3 words “We Shall Inherit” in Psalm 37 have been repeated several times and apparently they must be very important for them to be repeated.

Bible Teachers have always advanced the theory that, in the study of the Bible, when a scripture is repeated we have to give heed.

And I believe that in the context of the emphasis in this Psalms believers can miss taking full possession of their inheritance to inherit the earth if they are not careful to take notice of this doctrine.

Good Morning

Today we meditate on the word “Understanding”.

Proverbs 24:3 Through wisdom is an house builded; and by understanding it is established:
4 And by knowledge shall the chambers be filled with all precious and pleasant riches.

Beautiful gems in the above Proverbs, isn’t it? If anyone knows what understanding is, it must be King Solomon who wrote most of the Book of Proverbs.

Generous Spirit

7 May

Generous Spirit!   Good Morning This morning let’s meditate on giving and this I mean giving “generously”. When a believer has a generous spirit, he will be loved by all, and most importantly, by the Lord Himself. Let’s see what … Read More »

Still Waters

13 Apr

Still Waters – Psalms 23:2 …he leadeth me beside the still waters.
Our daily bread for today is taken from Psalms 23:2. This verse speaks of waters that are “Still”, not moving or churning like the seas in storming weather. It is the stillness of the waters that will cause believers to be still and quiet, just like when they are seated beside a lake that is quiet and still and enjoying a weekend with their family and friends. It is this stillness that a believer finds peace in mind, spirit, soul and body. Our Lord Jesus made a declaration to believers in 14:27 when he said:-

John 14:27

“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”

His Strength

13 Mar

His Strength – In 2 Corinthians 12:9 Apostle Paul said that it was God’s strength that enabled him to carry on the work of the Gospel. In himself, he was weak and it was when he accepted his state of weakness that he found strength:-

“My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”

Whenever we struggle, we are using our own strength. This morning, let’s ask the Lord to give us His strength. Say, Lord in you I have strength. In you I shall be strong!

Let God Arise

13 Mar

At breakfast I was fellowshipping with the Lord. I was having my breakfast and at the same time, I turned on my tablet to listen to some scriptures as was my daily practice. I always enjoy natural bread with the Living Bread. Then I heard these words “the enemies be scattered”. I turned to Psalms 68 and verse 1 says:-
Psalms 68:1
“Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered”
