Blood of Sprinkling
This morning I would like to share on the “Blood of Sprinkling” taught by Apostle Peter. Of all the disciples, he, Peter, wrote much on the Blood of Jesus, to emphasize how much the Blood shed by our Lord has done for us! He called the Blood of Jesus “Precious”.
Here’s the scripture:-
“1 Peter 1: 2 Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ”.
Here Peter is teaching us that all believers after having been redeemed and sanctified by the Blood need to continue to sprinkle the Blood daily for protection and victory over all evil forces!
Let’s look at how the Israelites in Egypt escaped from death when the destroyer was out to kill them.
“12 For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the LORD.
13 And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.”
In the above scripture, we are first taught how to protect our house, possession, and family with the precious Blood which must be applied at the doorpost of the house!
Rahab and the Scarlet Thread
In another scripture in Joshua 2:18, we find another example of the power of the Blood for protection. In this occasion, God commanded Joshua to take down the City of Jericho inhabited by their enemies. Jericho was to be completely destroyed except the dwelling of a woman named Rahab. That part of the wall where she dwelled was not to be destroyed. She was instructed to tie a “Scarlet Thread” (a type of the blood) on the window of her dwelling.
“Behold, when we come into the land, thou shalt bind this line of scarlet thread in the window which thou didst let us down by: and thou shalt bring thy father, and thy mother, and thy brethren, and all thy father’s household, home unto thee.”
And in Revelation, we are again reminded that no blood means no victory over the destroyer.
“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony”
In this scripture, here’s the key:-
You apply the blood by your confession of what the Blood of Jesus has done for us.
So let’s search every scripture on what the blood has done and will continue to bless and protect us!
Apply it on your family, everyone, your home, your possession, your work for protection.
