I was praying early this morning when I received these 2 words “Abundant Life”.
In Christ, we are complete in Him and this is the God Kind of Life that has been given to us to partake in life. Let’s see what the Bible has to say about such a life. Let’s turn to the scripture in John 10:10:-
“…I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly”
Here Jesus made the contrast of the statement comparing the evil and the good. The evil is from the thief whose motive is always to steal, kill and destroy. As opposed to this, our Lord has made a promise to give us a life to the full. Yes life more abundantly!
But unfortunately, there are believers, who failing to know the truth, live through life always having “barely” enough for their need. They always hope to have a little bit more. Because they do not study and meditate on the Word of God, they become ignorant of the truth of what God has given them. They therefore suffer needlessly. Worse still, they will often misrepresent God as if He has ceased to be “Jehovah Jireh” the God who supplies all our need according to His riches in Glory by Christ Jesus.!
But God wants to provide for us abundantly and we thank God that for us we can have and live out the abundant life. Let’s consider the meaning of “abundant life”:-
Life :- of the absolute fulness of life, both essential and ethical, which belongs to God, and through him both to the hypostatic “logos” and to Christ in whom the “logos” put on human nature
life real and genuine, a life active and vigorous, devoted to God, blessed, in the portion even in this world of those who put their trust in Christ…
Amen, do you see the description? Our life is real and genuine, a blessed life active and vigorous and devoted to God.
So Brethren, boldly enter into His Throne of Grace and declare to yourself “Lord I thank you that the scripture says that you are my Provider and according to your promise, I now receive all your provisions for all my need. I will not suffer any lack. You have promised to give me “more” and “abundantly”. Yes your provision for us is always more than enough! Thank you Lord, in Jesus’s Name I pray.
