I have started this blog to post scripture devotional messages to believers who are passionate in wanting to know more about the Word of God.
Here you will find a wide collection of inspiring daily devotional messages written as the writer discerned the voice of the Holy Spirit each morning.
As believers it is important to grow in the Word of God. The aim is for us to gain spiritual maturity in order to be able to correctly interpret the scriptures. The benefit would include the ability to apply them in our daily walk of faith.
It is written in Hebrews 5:13-14 as follows:-
“13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. 14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil”
Growth in the Word of God
Every believer’s desire is to serve God in order to do the Father’s Will. Living Bread messages are written out of the writer’s passion to help other believers grow in the Word of God and serve JESUS – THE KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.
Many of the members serving in the Market Place Ministry (CFM) meet each week at the early morning intercessory meetings to pray. The morning hour meeting is followed up with a lunchtime meeting. By His Mercy and Grace, CFM Ministry has been having the meetings for more than 30 years. Truly God has been faithful.
Although the members meet in an office, the morning prayer meetings are well attended by many early risers eager to experience the “Presence of God”.
Growth of Meetings
Now such prayer meetings have multiplied in various offices in the City and many have volunteered to hold Bible Study lessons for new converts.
It is truly a privilege to serve the Lord in this discipling work to make disciples out of unbelievers in the heart of the city. Whether sharing the gospel with friends and colleagues or bringing unbelievers to the CFM meetings, there is nothing greater than to serve God in this evangelising exercise. May the Lord continue to watch over this Market Place Ministry.
Starting a Blog
A few years ago, I have felt a strong leading from the Lord to begin sharing the Daily Living Bread messages in a blog to share with others who are hungry to feed on the Word of God. Do share with your friends to visit my blog to read the messages posted herein. I believe that meditating on the Word of God will help their spiritual growth.
This blog was set up in 2014 but in late 2016 I began to sense a continuous tugging from the Lord to begin converting my collection of the scripture messages into devotional booklets so as to benefit more people, both believers and non-believers.
So far I have written 2 volumes of the devotional messages. I hope to make them available at online book stores. I will be writing more books. As you read the messages I hope that you too will be inspired by the scripture messages contained in this site.
It is my hope that you too will grow in the Word of God as well as learning to develop a more closer relationship with the Holy Spirit in your journey of faith. Only with such a relationship can a believer truly hear more accurately the Lord’s guidance to do His Will.
It has taken me many many years of daily devotion to practice hearing and discerning His still small voice. The fruit of this labour has culminated in building this website as well as writing the books. I really hope to reach out to more believers who want to grow spiritually.
I am convinced that all believers can learn to hear from the Lord by discerning His voice, not some of the time, but consistently on a daily basis. All Glory to our Lord Christ Jesus for His Grace.
Market Place Ministry
I have been sharing regularly the daily Living Bread messages with a group of believers working in the City. They are regular attendees of a market place ministry which is known as the Christian Fellowship Ministry (CFM).
The CFM Fellowship was birthed some 30 years ago and it started with only 2 believers getting together to pray weekly for office workers working in the City. Today, the fellowship has continued to grow to a jam-packed meeting room during each weekly meeting.

The Daily Devotional Messages
The weekly meetings are well attended by many passionate believers who also partake in the various logistic ministry of help to prepare the meeting place for the lunch time crowd. To motivate them, I write and send them a short sermonette each morning for their reading and meditation.
These are not study notes but revelation teachings received direct from the Holy Spirit for sharing with members of the fellowship.
It is through devotion time spent daily to pray, read and meditate on the Word of God that has enabled me to write the daily morning messages as I received them. One cannot underemphasise the importance of such practice of daily devotion if one is desirous of hearing and discerning accurately the voice of the Holy Spirit.
I have to admit that in the beginning it was difficult but through regular and consistent practice it has gradually become much easier to discern the “Still Small Voice”. Truly fellowshipping with the Holy Spirit is of paramount importance in order to get to know Him in a more intimate way!
Also quality time spent to study the scriptures is another prerequisite to be familiar with the scriptures in the Bible. It is only when one goes deeper into the scriptures that he will become more acquainted with the “Promises of God” and apply them correctly in his or her daily activities.
For instance when praying for another, using scripture in prayers is powerfuly and will also ensure quick answer to one’s prayer request!
Meditation on the Way to Work
I begin to write the message for the morning while traveling to work. It takes me about 30 minutes to prepare the message. The Holy Spirit is truly a willing Teacher, always ready to lead and guide a believer who seeks Him earnestly.
Morning Prayer Meeting
When I reach the Office, there is again another Bible study class. You see, we hold Bible Study Meetings from Monday to Friday for a “half hour session” attended to by a group of passionate believers keen to learn more of the Bible.
Tuesday Morning Prayer (Intercession) Meeting – On Tuesday mornings, we pray much earlier for an hour from 7.14 am. During this session we do a short worship and spend the rest of the time in prayers, each attendee encouraged to share what the Lord has spoken to them.
Again such practice will help one to become more familiar with the voice of God. One main prayer we make is pray to the Lord of Harvest for a harvest of souls for unbelievers working in the City.
Growth of New Believers
Throughout the 30 years of this fellowship we have seen many precious souls coming into the saving grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. The participants are always helping to spread the gospel to their unbelieving friends and colleagues.
After receiving Jesus, they are encouraged to attend Bible study lessons to learn the foundation teachings for their continued spiritual growth. Bible study sessions are arranged either before or after work and also during the one hour lunch break.
Weekly Lunch Time Meeting
New students are also encouraged to attend the lunch time meeting during their lunch break where they get to experience the environment of a Church meeting as well as to experience the presence of God!
This is a Worship Service with some short preaching session. We meet from 12.45 pm to 1.45 pm with attendees of averaging 40 to 50 persons attending the service. Here we also have Christians of all denominations attending the meetings and we do not emphasize on which denomination is preferred. Perhaps this is one reason why the ministry has lasted for so long. There is such unity for all believers from different denominations. All Glory to God!
Discerning the Voice
The various practice of spiritual exercises described in the foregoing paragraphs have enabled me to discern His voice more accurately and to prepare the daily messages to share with others. I will always be thankful to the Lord for His guidance.
Here is a powerful scripture about the Holy Spirit that has really blessed me greatly. In John 14:26 we are told that He, the Comforter, has been sent to us not only to teach but also to bring all things to our remembrance:-
“But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.”
The Ways of the Holy Spirit
In this manner I have benefited gaining not only a greater knowledge of the word but also the “the ways of the Holy Spirit”.
Through fellowship with Him daily, I have gradually learned to know Him better and to be familiar hearing and receiving His daily teachings. As He taught a new topic each morning, I get stirred, excited and amazed at how much He really wants to fellowship with us, to teach and lead us in our daily walk with Him.
